Yes that was great

I always enjoy Alan Watts.

If you're interested in more, the book that really got me turned on to Mr. Watts is this one, On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are

I was in my mid/late 20's when I first read it. Talk about an eye opener!

Thanks for the video.

that Osho/Bhagwan loved that Watts' book also and said of it: "The Book is tremendously important. It is Watts' testament; his whole experience with Zen Masters, Zen classics...and he is a man of tremendous intelligence. He was also a drunkard. Intelligence plus wine have really created a juicy book. I have love The Book and I have saved it for the last. Do you remember Jesus' saying "Blessed are those WHO stand at the last"? Yes, this book is blessed. I bless it, and I would like this series of sessions to be in memory of Alan Watts."

Most interesting indeed

Thank you for sharing these bits about Osho. I really enjoy learning about him from you.

Intelligence plus wine have really created a juicy book.

That is encouraging to hear!

:D

My pleasure.

I am very happy to hear it.

There are few more bits and pieces about Osho still waiting in my bag of mystical matters to be revealed to you little by little as I have read and listen to him almost 20 years.

So the story of Osho to be continued in a soon future........

By the way your post on Juicing and Joe Cross' movie Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead has been biggest inspiration for me since I watched it some 10 days ago. After that my life has been continuous juicing. Big thanks for that!

Fantastic book - on my short list for a review...

Just diving into it again after many years. Definitely not a page turner, more of a 'read the same page over and over again as it all sinks in' book, great random page flipper like the i ching... RIP Alan - the alcohol took you too soon.

Alcohol, really?

Was he a drunk? I didn't know that.

He made an appearance (virtual appearance) in Her. Did you see that film? I think you'd enjoy it.

Died in his sleep after a bender.

And he wasn't the only spiritual pioneer to be taken by their own weakness. In fact it's sort of an epidemic among enlightened types - The Beaten Path by Ptolemy Tompkins is where I learned this about him and others:

Did you hear what Osho said about this book?

Intelligence plus wine have really created a juicy book.

I am feeling the need to investigate deeper...
