Some who believe there was an Ark dispute this find also

Folly can take on many forms, religious and secular. No sincere seeker of truth and liberty wants to be deceived or to deceive others. Debating opposing views can often dispel errors. Thanks for taking time to reply. Aloha!

Thats for the market to decide...

Just sayin.

Séamusín

The market can decide that

The market can decide that tulips are worth $1 million but it is still a complete waste of resources

are they putting animals in it?

It'd be interesting to see just two of one hundred different animals in it and what happens.

2 Peter 3:4-6... "they deliberately forget".....

2 Peter 3:4-6

New International Version (NIV)

4 They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” 5 But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.

With all due respect, I will no longer be a voting prostitute for Constitution rejecting harlots.

Will it be built in-between

Will it be built in-between the Grimm's Fairy Tales Museum and the Grand Hall of Religious Errors and Inconsistencies?

If Anything is a fairy tale

It is the story of everything came from nothing, our ancestors are hydrogen atoms and through random energy pulses the chemicals came to life, kinda like the Frankenstein movie ... It is quite the fairy tale isn't it but they call it science so everyone buys it .. And you bought it hook line and sinker

So, some magical being

So, some magical being created us from nothing because he is so powerful. Tell me then, where did he come from?

And if your answer is he is eternal, then I say matter and energy are eternal and have always existed. Therefore everything didn't come from nothing. (although it is possible)

And science has evidence and testable theories to show its true. What does god have? a book written by man, translated a dozen times, edited and censored by people like King James because he didn't like some of it? Yeah that is gods word. You would think a supreme being could eliminate at least a few of the contradictions.

You are obviously Science illiterate

When i was a kid the definition of science was observable, testable, repeatable .. The new Atheist definition is as long as there is no supernatural explanation .. so i love how you Atheists redefine words for their own ends.

Well what makes this "science of evolution" so funny is, if scientists can't recreate life in the lab from chemicals in a controlled environment .. what kind of moron believes chemicals on a hostile earth environment came together to form life .. i mean you got to be freakin kidding me .. oh i know it takes FAITH to believe in evolution and it seems you Atheists have even more FAITH than us Christians, which makes me laugh at your folly even more

be nice

.

Why

Not eternal ... before God created everything there was no such thing as time as we know it

I wonder if they'll use the Ark they found here to pattern after

Here is the documentary that archeologist Ron Wyatt produced to show the abundant evidence that he did, in fact, find the very Ark of Noah; where it was said it would be found, measuring the exact length it was said to be as written in Genesis, containing metals and wood exactly as would be expected in those days.

The theories of what it isn't by deniers are whimsical and entertaining; and the possibilities that it could be otherwise are slim to none, IMHO; but you decide!

thank you for posting that video

I watched the entire video today, amazing. I will forward it to my family. This is why I read the DP every day. You never know what you will find.
Thanks again!

Just to be fair, the folks building the replica dispute this

I was reading in their site the reasons they dismiss his findings, and without excavation it is impossible to confirm, but the dimensions and location do seem to fit. No conclusion can be drawn with certainty, and the science used has it's limits.

It's not necessary to find the Ark remnants to prove there was a Great Flood because the geological evidence is in the abundant fossil records that shows us that it quickly buried large animals before they could rot; but finding this ship's remains would be any archeologist's dream, believer or not!

If you liked this, check out his Sodom and Gomorrah findings

Architecture clearly stands out, peppered with brimstone, (sulfur), so pure that geologists have never found such high concentrations in these samples anywhere. Some speculated that the cities were destroyed by a volcanic eruption, but sulfur found in eruptions hasn't been found at more than 40% and crystalline. These powered sulfur balls can still be lit with a match to produce a stinky blue flame! Starting at the 9:30 mark:

BTW, these sulfur balls are found abundantly only on the surface, encased in ash, and nowhere deeper than that over this large area! Here's a more recent short clip by some folks easily lighting one:

cant wait! Ill hit both

cant wait! Ill hit both museums with the kids, will be a fun getaway.

This a really cool project

I have always wanted to build an original wood boat, a much smaller one of course. This will probably be more of an attraction than actually building a boat that Noah would have had the technology for. We don't now have the materials Noah had access to and very few, if any have the skills to build a truly original BC wooden boat. I'm thinking this will be more like a building that looks like a boat.

$150 Million Theme Park?

I heard this is planned as part of a $150 million Bible-themed fun time park. If he's a follower of Jesus, the money should be used for the poor instead.

http://www.mediaite.com/online/bill-nye-helps-creationist-ke...

you are on the DP forum and yet

do you have a clue about economics, you should know better then to ask such questions.

Giving money to the poor is done on a sustainable footing, these guys are running a competent operation with a park that even atheists would take their children to because its cool and cool costs $150million.

On top of that instead of feeding the poor, they will be giving jobs to the poor.

Yes, I am on a DP forum, but

Yes, I am on a DP forum, but I am a capitalist who doesn't believe the government should take money from the more fortunate and give to the needy. In a capitalist society, it's great that we have churches to fulfill that need and give to the poor, especially to handicapped people who are unable to work. I missed the part in the Bible where Jesus advocated building museums. This museum is reminiscent of the money changers in the temple.

if they took money from the government

then you have a valid point... in the video they expressed that no money was taken from government, but instead they took advantage of some tax exemption or some state scheme for business investment that is available to all businesses. In my point, taxing less is not giving. Can you prove that they took money from government because I will not take the word of journalists. I mean look at how Piers Morgan treated Ken Ham.

Lets say they are getting money from government then this will be from the point of view of the general decline of America anyway whether this is Boeing, AIG bailouts or a Ark theme park.

I do hope you can't prove they took money from government, because I like this idea lol, pretty cool seeing a big boat like that, maybe it will be worth the TSA cavity search to visit America!!!

sorry Jay

I made assumptions as I sped read through your post claiming they took money from Government.

Its a tough one, remember the money changers were the chief priests running the temple, and as far as I know they made the people swap roman money for their special currency that was needed to buy unblemished animals, and guess who checked for unblemished animals, the chief priests, they were the authority. (please do your research on this, I'm rehashing this from memory from a sermon I heard) So there was evil intent to profit from this.

Is there evil intent to profit from this project, we would have to look at their financials, see who are driving Ferraris, Porches etc, who has the big mansions. We are so quick to judge these kind of projects based on the money lenders of Jesus day.

Furthermore

I think the point of the upset by the money changers was primarily because they were doing business inside the temple itself. The physical temple was sacred and each area had a purpose. It was a place meant for prayer, glory, and reverence to God.

Building an Ark has nothing to do with defiling the holy temple.

Furthermore, the temple was destroyed physically and purposefully by the atonement of Jesus Christ on the cross so such a place does not exist today.

I really want to understand your perspective brother

but I am having a difficult time. How exactly is this like the money changers in the temple?

Private money builds attractions and museums all the time. They are not only a ministry but a business. So first explain if a christian should be involved with building anything--at all according to your perspective.

Just to be clear, this is something that people have committed to donate money to because they believe it will be a living testament to the world of the power of God and his grace to us all. This will literally change hearts and minds by educating people and transforming somes impression of the flood story from myth to reality much like the creation museum. How does this not glorify Him?

I'm going to try to avoid a

I'm going to try to avoid a deep theological argument by just saying that it's best for Christians to rely on message rather than objects to convert the unfaithful and that's part of what the money changers in the temple remark was referring to. I'm sure this is well intended and I'm not questioning the faith of those building this or those who support it, but I don't believe it will help the Christian cause.

There is a huge market for this indeed

I can see many christians flocking to this place versus a disney land or six flags and if you think about it the "scary rides" really could be filled with some freaky stuff featured in the bible.

You could do the lions den where you have to try and get out before a lion eats you. Maybe a big whale that swallows you and you have to try and stay alive in there for a couple days until you are spit out. You could even have it where you have to hit a giant with nothing more than a slingshot or was it a sword, the versus get confused on how he killed the giant BUT hey its not an exact guide book but rather a book to learn and live by.

Imagine a rollercoaster called " tribulation " and how freaky they could make it. You must be this tall ( in faith ) to ride this ride. At the end of the ride you arrive at the gates of heaven and each rider will either go one of two ways. Each riding experience could actually be different from each other.

When I was younger they had bible games on nintendo that you could buy from the local bible house or whatever it was called. It was actually pretty fun and if the market exists there will be someone there to snag up that money ( for god that is ).

Side Note :
I wonder if you told the ride attendant that god laid it on your heart to go to the front of the line, what they might do. Also would they have a fake jesus walking around with a 6 pack, some sheep and shepherds hanging out? I just wonder how far ( cheesy ) they might make this place.

Mar 14:3 And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.
Mar 14:4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
Mar 14:5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
Mar 14:6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me.

You can't take money to heaven.

In his worldview winning souls to eternity or providing the bread of life has eternal value. Besides, why denigrate the true believer when people are sending him money for this project. Don't you believe in liberty?

The US government steals your money to drop bombs that cost about as much as one of these Arks on starving children.

Also creating 200 permanent jobs in Kentucky seems to be a great way to help the poor. Not to forget all the other jobs that will be created in the construction and prolonged maintenance of this museum.
