Why do Jeremy Scahill and other smart Lefties run from 9/11 Truth?

Hint: It's not because they have really examined the evidence and find the govt's case very strong. It has something to do with convenience. Why step out on the ledge, right? It is one thing to say one is anti war, but it is another to admit how utterly corrupt our system has become, AND to fully face the truly ugly side of American life. It is the deniers of 9/11 Truth who practice wishful and fearful thinking, not the other way around. They just can't handle it. Well, their pocketbooks can't.

This article tackles the problem of leftist gatekeepers for 9/11. Jeremy Scahill may be a great advocate for non-interventionism, but he undercuts his own critique, by displaying such naivete about what happened on 9/11. Fact is, as this author argues, he and almost every other journalist in America run as fast as they can from 9/11 Truth, because it is a job killer. The Nation, and other so called progressive outlets will not tolerate someone pointing to Israel's role in 9/11 for example, for that would be considered "anti-Semitic." So this leaves us in a difficult situation. I want to applaud Scahill, but I find it hard to believe such a smart man has really taken an honest look at 9/11.

Notice how none of these lefties like Scahill ever address the solid evidence for Israel's involvement in documentaries like Ryan Dawson's "9/11 and War by Deception" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pK6VLFdWJ4I. Rather, they talk about Loose Change and other well funded but kosher documentaries.

Progressive Ideology.

That's my theory anyway. Statism is nationalistic in its nature. To lay the blame at the door of those responsible, is to expose statism for what it is. Lefties are to invested in the state.

Lack of evidence.

That is patently false!

There is ample evidence that Scahill and other civil liberty lefties run from 9/11 truth.

I meant lack of evidence

I meant lack of evidence about what happened on 9/11.

Let's be fair, there's a lot of smoke but nothing concrete. If there were a whistleblower or compelling evidence, it'd be different.

It doesn't make a lot of sense.

It can't just be because of it being a job killer. It's more than just avoiding the subject. They actively perpetuate the line that "in no way would such a plot to kill 3000 people in broad day be an act that higher-ups in the government would perpetrate or be able to cover up" and yet, they have no problem reporting on the false pretenses used to start a war that ended up killing close to a MILLION people.....and the kicker.....the two lies involve at least some of the same people. It's willful ignorance. I want a reason.

So what's the game plan?

Bill Belechick would never go into a game without a plan.

So if Scahill starts talking 911 from where he is now, the entire establishment comes out against him as a laughing stock. He gets into outside trouble that the media reports on. Drinking. Prostitution. Child porn. (Who was it that got child porn recently? He was hot against the government for a while. Then he gets in trouble for kiddie sex in Thailand.)

Anyway, the usual. And then maybe later, an exploding car.

It is no wonder Snowden wants to stay away. Greenwald too, for that matter.

That is my answer.

Is Scahill talking about Loose Change? If so, that is very good. What was wrong with that movie?

It might be kind of fun to watch that again.

Scott Ritter - that was his name

William Scott Ritter, Jr. (born July 15, 1961) was a United Nations weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991 to 1998, and later a critic of United States foreign policy in the Middle East. Prior to the U.S. invasion of Iraq in March 2003, Ritter stated that Iraq possessed no significant weapons of mass destruction (WMD) capabilities. He became a popular anti-war figure and talk show commentator as a result of his stance.

In 2001, Ritter on two occasions was detained and later arrested on charges of soliciting minors for sex on the Internet that were both dismissed. He was arrested on similar charges in 2010 that led to a conviction and sentence of one and a half to five and a half years.

There is funny scene in that Mel Gibson movie, Conspiracy Theory. He's getting arrested and asks, "What is it this time? Child porn again?" It is so offhand.

I have no idea what Scott Ritter did or didn't do, but I do know the media, when it wants to, can set about destroying someone.

Aside from reputation destruction by the media, there is also the danger of spontaneously blowing up cars.

Certain lines are not to be crossed, and people generally know where they are. Ron Paul knew where these lines were, as does Rand, and they stay away from them as well.

Loose Change was funded by

Loose Change was funded by Jewish billionaires like Mark Cuban and contains dis-info. It doesn't go near a discussion of Mossad's role. Have you watched War By Deception Michael? It's link is in the text of the op.

Scahill reports on extrajudicial killing and he's the one that found out who was actually killed in those videos that Bradley Manning leaked. How could anybody stick there neck out any further?

Yeah you can look at it that way,

Or you see that he's still in the game. And because of that, he can focus on issues that he feels are meaningful.

They crush your balls if you talk about it. They destroy you. If you're a nobody, they ignore you. In fact, they like you, because you prove that "dissent is allowed" in the US, under our "democracy." If you get too big, you're done.

Even Michael Moore's movie about it. Didn't go near it.

You have to realize. Most people have not woken up from the matrix.

Look at what Dylan Ratigan did. He saw the beast up close and said, I want no quarrel with you. And took off to live off the land, and serve people. Veterans. The ones who got the royal reaming. We talk about the tragedy of the wars, but those guys were really there.

Speaking of PR jobs, where are the ex soldiers against the war. Who is silencing their voices? Are they self silencing?

Why concentrate only on the famous. What about individuals?

The issue of 911 is calcified in most peoples minds by now. It is old news. Tbe best I think I can describe what I think it is like is JFK for the generation before mine. Some people will not let go of that - it was a conspiracy. He was taken out by our own government!

I can see why they don't want that remembered. Turn JFK into a huge hero. Just like in the Dark Knight.

Dylan Ratigan

From a MensJournal interview:

"I spoke the language better than most people at CNBC, because of my years at Bloomberg," he says. "I asked good questions, and I was a great hang." Then came the 2007 financial crisis, and Ratigan couldn't hide his disdain for the policy of too big to fail. "I started railing against the crisis maniacally on 'Fast Money' and I ended up in a war with [CNBC president] Mark Hoffman, because my whole thing is, capitalism is based on retained risk, and retained risk is: If you fail, you fail. And what was going on on Wall Street was the opposite of that. I was openly confronting that with my platform on 'Fast Money,' and I was saying things – like that we should send [U.S. Treasury Secretary] Hank Paulson to jail – that a CNBC anchor shouldn't. So it was pretty much impossible for me to stay there."
