Now, TODAY,- THIS DAY- is the time to Hit McCain... AND HARD

Now, TODAY, THIS DAY, is the time to Hit McCain, and hit him HARD. Why ? and why McCain ?

On a day of confrontation such as this (the Calif. debate tonight), when McCain thinks it is HE who will be attacking Romney, and feeling himself smugly superior, it will come as a shock to see a man McCain thinks is a mouse, an insignificant pipsqueak who doesn't even deserve to share the same stage.

Lets take advantage that McCain is going to be so focused on condemning Romney, that a sudden, strongly worded, sharply spoken rhetoric by Dr. Paul against McCain will cause him to sputter and become red-faced.
The man has a glass jaw, he is a brittle, thin-skinned snarkmeister who never talks specifics.

Dr. Paul, you need to take a page out of Von Clausewitz (the master military & political strategist who wrote the seminal book on strategy: "On War", studied at every War college on the planet)

THIS IS THE TIME, THIS IS THE PLACE, THIS IS THE STATE !!

Hit now, Hit hard, Hit ONE MAN.
In a nutshell, the strategy is to apply the full pressure of your force at one SINGLE point, and push Hard.
NOT across a big front, i.e. in this case, multiple candidates, but only at one point, Hit JUST HIM, AND, while doing so, clearly identify how distinctive you are.

Someone else has said : "hit clean". FINE - actually, any hit by Dr. Paul is clean, because all of our arguments are empirically superior. McCain simply doesn't have ANY cogent argument. He has to resort to blather and bluster. We don't.

Everything else will fall into place.

Ignore the others :
Huckabee is a waste of space - he is disintegrating. Don't even address him.
Romney is a pseudo-gentleman who wont say anything to the Dr., we can deal with him later. He is smart enough to sit back & enjoy the spectacle of a surprise attack on McCain.

And no, to those reading who think that simply taking the 'high road' and talking in broad platitudes is enough. No, it is NOT anymore.

Dr. Paul has had a good strategy so far, we've been creeping upwards, slowly, steadily.
But there has to be a watershed event, the crest of a wave.

That crest was reached yesterday in Florida. Rudy is out.
Everyone can see that Huckabee is going.

That leaves only 3. .... and here's the kicker :

ALL AMERICA SUDDENLY NEEDS to DISCOVER RON PAUL -
in one fell swoop, as only the MSM can do it.
You know they love to suddenly show america a strange underdog with a bite - they love to show upsets.

As american conservatives now face just 2 people they really don't want, they can suddenly examine this strange 3rd man they've heard little about.

(75 % of the country doesn't even know about our movement - the Media has only remarked on us in the most obtuse way. So, until today, he is only that odd man in the background that is snickered about)

Lets USE the Media's prior blackout to our advantage.

We've complained endlessly about the Media's blackout - Let's take MAXIMUM ADVANTAGE of them, NOW !!

They hate a big noisy field, BUT they Love a spoiler to a 2 man race - it creates excitement which they love to pump up and display.

This will remove us from the 4 to 8 % range, and place us squarely in the 12 to 15% range.
Yes, that would be plenty, for now ... at that point, the MSM will start doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

More than anything, we NEED the predicted 'brokered' convention to actually materialize.

That means we need Romney to still be around - because we need for the first round of convention delegate balloting to FAIL, i.e. less than 50 % for one candidate. If Romney gives up before then, WE"RE OUT, McCain locks it up.

So, the right strategy is to hit the strongest one now, make him lose equilibrium from a side he never expected. .... and lets take this party to Minnesota in September AND BLOW THEIR MINDS !!

And your comment-
"And no, to those reading who think that simply taking the 'high road' and talking in broad platitudes is enough. No, it is NOT anymore."
is dead on correct.

wouldn't take much...

... to get out a comment about McCain like: "he wants to spend another 100 years at war in Iraq, at a cost taxpayers of $275 million per DAY, which is $4,000 per household, every single day we remain at war in Iraq..."

and even add:
(turning to McCain): "Just how would would you pay that astronomical cost when the US govt's Chief Accountant says our govt is bankrupt, AND also be able to pay to protect our borders which are currently wide open? "

Ron, go for it...

I totally agree, Ron needs to attack and he needs to do it now. His delivery is a turnoff to a lot of people and he mostly seems to just point out what is wrong, so ne needs to tell people what HE will do as in the recently released economic plan. I am an ardent supporter, as are all of you, but that will not get him elected.

A FEW GOOD MEN

I agree, we need a Jack Nicholson, Tom Cruise "You want the truth you can't handle the truth" Moment. Where McCain looses it and says "damn right I ordered the code red"
That is what I would like to see.

"Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost."
John Quincy Adams

I think Dr. Paul realizes this

When he directed his question about the President's working group on Financial Markets, at McCain, he exposed McCain for one of two things: 1. He either is too dumb to know what he was talking about or 2. He knew, and continues the hush hush of the direct involvement of our government in free market affairs. Either way, not a fit man for leadership. The "working group" is commonly known as the plunge protection team, and they are a manipulating force in controlling the stock markets when sharp down days are occuring. Unfortunately, not many Americans picked up on the "sensitivity" of this 'illegal" government economic activity.

alan laney

Yes, but the media ignored that debate coup so it never happened

That Working Group on Financial Markets broadside was too subtle. Ron Paul only followed up when he was followed by a blogger who put something on Youtube with RP saying "he didn't understand the question because he mentioned the guy who is chairman of that committee".

We RP supporters are too intellectual and too plugged in. Ron Paul knows he is getting through to us because he knows that we will pick through the garbage easily to find the worthwhile news. But Ron Paul needs to try to get to those who will never see that Youtube video for followup on that interchange.

A lot of us are CEOs and other executives. We have no time for the opium laced TV reports that are sent to the unwashed masses. We use Youtube because that place cuts to the chase. It gives us the exact 10 minutes of news each day that we need to stay informed, without the commercials and the fluff (and the nonsensical flirting between anchors on Fox and Friends).

Ron Paul might want to lecture the media for not having researched that exchange last week, and comment on how the voters of Florida who said the economy was important to them, voted shockingly against their interest on that score.

And I finally want to see Ron Paul nail McCain for all the outrageous (intrusive) Internet regulation he has been proposing and getting passed. He could also get all the divorced and single men in the country on his side (as well as their sisters & mothers) if he discussed how the new VAWA puts men at a serious disadvantage should a dishonest woman make false abuse charges (Hillary already has the votes of the women who would make false abuse charges, so it is not as if Ron Paul would lose the votes of the honest women who are already behind him). In addition, in her first tenure as President, Hillary created a bloated $430 Million budge "Office on Violence Against Women" which is unconstitutional and attached to the Federal Department of Justice (domestic violence and rape are state and municipal police matters). Believe me, Ron Paul's numbers would go way up if he took this on...but he would face resistance from male journalists who are driven by "misguided chivalry".

Yes, I like it!

McInsane needs to be put IN HIS PLACE NOW!

Not sure that's the best way

It seems to me McCain has much higher negatives than Romney and would be much easier to defeat later on than Romney. I don't think McCain will ever match the money Romney has put into his campaign. I think most people would be very uncomfortable with the thought of McCain as President, Giuliani as Vice President, and maybe we should use that to our advantage. Attacking McCain may feel a whole lot better to us but I think we have to be strategic. Just something I think we should think about. I also think Dr. Paul would benifit the most in his poll numbers if Huck wasn't in the race anymore. I just wanted to put that out for discussion.

I tend to Agree

2nd Place Romney is a danger. He looks good. He would have been just as out to sea on the question Dr. Paul asked McCain, and he knows even less about world affairs, but he may end up being the poster-boy.

It might be better to take him out first.

PS: The above is not mob-speak; no violence was intended or advocated.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

But Romney had his whisperer

But Romney had his whisperer supporting him at the debate.

I like the way you think

More a fan of Sun Tzu here, but the strategy remains the same...:-)

Killer question

Well said! Even if their trolls read your message here,- liberty First,- it doesn't matter because he won't know what the killer question will be. (We won't 'till it comes from the bow of Dr Paul). I absolutely agree with you 100%.
It's a bit like in a job interview where you know it's gonna be coming but don't know what the question will be - and then it hits you and you get completely flummoxed and stall. We've all been there & when you leave the building and think 'I've blown that job'. (And you probably did).
Great.

'I always thank of all you canvassors and precinct leaders and delegates who were at the front line and caucuses.
Good luck out there &Thank you. You're a gift.

The Hot Air Express

Thank you. Actually a question may not be as productive as simply a full frontal attack, in the form of "pointing out the emperor has no clothes", i.e. McCain has NO Plan, just rah, rah, rah, .... the Hot Air Express.

No Ad hominens (personal attacks) are necessary (and they aren't the Dr's style anyways).
Just a plain, sharp statement that McCain has nothing to offer but MORE SLAVERY, in the guise of patriotism.

liberty first

Yeah. Question/Full frontal observation. 'Shouldn't be hard to baffle any of 'em. Cheers.

McCain is ready to blow, it won't take much

to really set him off. He's very angry, and can not contol his temper. Good for America, that every states voters aren't 60+. Florida was a sham. 600,000 of the voters were over 60, and voted because it's their duty, not because they care.

He is a bitter, angry man,

He is a bitter, angry man, masquerading (quite poorly) as a gung-ho cheerleader. (come to think of it, that also describes Hillary - except she manages to pull it off better)

That is why just (2) two, well-placed jabs, or even one VERY strong one, will suffice.
It MUST be an attack - Attacks create definition, give form & shape to the attacker, in the eyes of the viewers... and the most important viewer whose attention we want is....: THE MEDIA !!

That sounds counter-intuitive, but it is the Media that we need to chatter about the Dr., and with surprise & alacrity, not the smirks & sniggles we've gotten.
IT is THAT ATTENTION that will drive voters to look closer at our issues.
Once they do that, WE WIN !

Hillary?

A bitter, angry man?

I never would have thought;)

AGREED...

Check out this ABC hit piece- McCain has more lobbyist money in his campaign coffers tan ANY other candidate!http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=4210251&page=1

"It behooves every man who values liberty of conscience for himself, to resist invasions of it in the case of others: or their case may, by change of circumstances, become his own."
Thomas Jefferson

There was a recent sudden infusion of money

and there were problems in the past with the Keating 5 and another group
in another election Pax something . I would have to look it up, but what I would like to know is while we are following all of the rules, who and when do they audit all of these huge one time donations on the other candidates
that happen just at the right time?

try that link again...
