What I'd like Dr. Paul to bring up tonight...

The Bush administration is leaning heavily on Congress right now to reauthorize the Protect America Act which made legal all kinds of warrantless wiretapping legal. More about the original bill here:

The president is also demanding that the reauthorization include retroactive immunity for the telecommunications companies that cooperated with the Bush administration in the past by allowing in illegal wiretapping by the government.

The bill the president is demanding is disgustingly unAmerican and sends us one step further down the road to a police state. It's also being supported by almost every single Repubilcan in Congress.

But there is at least one Republican who will not support warrantless wiretapping and telecom immunity. Dr. Paul should shine a light on this at the debate because I can pretty much guarantee he'll be the only one on that stage on the right side of this issue.

yeah but

yeah but it could turn messy and end up with an argument about whether terrorists are a threat and patriotism. A lot of folk have been led/frightened into believing in this hype and it will take a lot of arguing as to how real the threat really is.

'I always thank of all you canvassors and precinct leaders and delegates who were at the front line and caucuses.
Good luck out there &Thank you. You're a gift.

and another thing..

Dr Paul should be wary of the same question? It'ill take at least 6 months of therapy to un convince some people that america is not about to be invaded by iranian speed boats.
