A Potentially very telling statistic

Does anyone have statistics on how many people in each respective state have changed political parties to Republican? If we knew, we could get a pretty good idea of the impact Ron Paul is having. There will be many existing Republicans voting for him, but the ones that switched, in all likelihood, will mostly be voting for the good Doctor.
Please post if you know. We'd love to know.

Try the Secretary of State in the areas of interest...
As you can see, it is difficult to determine anything from the numbers. We almost need our own poll or an 'I Switched' promo of some sort on ronpaul2008.com with the state etc. We need a stat on how many switched to the Republican party and many of them will probably keep this unstated (or private). I noticed a 3+ percent increase in unstated voters in CA but that is not unusual.
I switched BTW
I switched too
Was Independent and switched 3 months ago.

Yeah, I've had the same
Yeah, I've had the same thoughts, Bob. It would be very interesting, and probably quite encouraging for us, to see some of these statistics.
Thanks for input
If anyone gets per state results, please post to see where we stand.
Sincere thanks.

One more time
Wanted to pose this question one more time as it received no response the first time and think it is very important.
Does anyone have this information?
Thank you.

I think its safe to say...
The statistic lies in the actual number of people who have JOINED the GOP.
I seriously doubt with the current political situation, that ANYBODY in their right mind, let alone a whole mass of people, would flock to be able to vote in the GOP primaries, if it wasn't for the good Dr...
Sure there may be some, new eligible to vote - who have joined, but will not vote for the doctor. But this statistic would be the most telling, as it encompasses both independent voters, non voters, democrats, libertarians who have joined the GOP, since he decided to run. :) I suggest, ring up the party - how many new members do you have since the election race started?
There lies your answer. :)
How many have switched to Republican ?
We can ask voter registration offices county by county, I suppose....
However, a couple of days after the deadline for registering for any given election, the officials in charge release that information, and it gets printed in (most) local papers.
In NH (Jane, please correct me if I'm wrong.), voter registration is handled
first at the level of municipal gov't, that is, town by town. I do not know how long it takes before voter registration numbers are compiled for the entire state; but with the Oct. 12 deadline for registering Republican now
history, perhaps some numbers will be available soon.
I think that information is crucial to campaign strategy
thats why IMHO they don't want to disclose.
But you're right, without that information every assumption could be false.
