H&R Block Cancels 'Get Your Billion Back America' - Funds Sent to Ukraine

KIEV, Ukraine — In a demonstration of support for Ukraine’s fledgling government and a new swipe at American taxpayers, Secretary of State John Kerry visited Kiev on Tuesday with an offer of $1 billion in an American loan guarantee and pledges of technical assistance.

Despite already having a debt of $17,470 billion and unfunded liabilities amounting to at least another $30,000 billion dollars, the U.S. government was able to find the $1 billion for Ukraine after seeing an ad for the H&R Block billion dollar-back promotion during an episode of the hit CBS sitcom, 'How I Met Your Mother.'

"When you think about it, $1 billion really isn't that much money anyway" stated assistant secretary Russell 'Rusty' Duffflinger "it's only, like, $3.25 per American. I'm sure nobody will even notice it missing - especially considering how much peace and democracy this money will enable us to spread throughout Ukrania and the surrounding regional area."

Bipartisan support for more debt

Nothing more senseless than one nation downing in debt "bailing out" another bankrupt country.

Once again

thanks for trashing up the site

So Jawa, do you want the full ban then?

Is that what you're asking for?

Because I was willing to give you another shot.

But if this is how you're going to behave, then why would I want you here?

Why would anyone?

Excellent Post Panda! Nothing this government does makes...

...me more angry than federal aid.

The idea of sending even one penny to ANY other nation while we have Americans living on the streets, in ghettos, in poverty (most of who paid taxes at some time in their lives) is hateful to me.

Ending foreign aid should be the easiest thing to do immediately.

Besides - I thought we were in debt up to our ears - WHERE is the money coming from???

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

and in a slightly more serious vein:

..." who in his right mind would think it is a good time to start a war with Russia over Ukraine? And worse, who would commit the United States to bail out a Ukraine that will need at least $35 billion to survive the year?"

yeah...

With Fed inflating money, $3.25 really is inconsequential.

Am I the only one that remembers when $3.25 could feed you for a year?

That was worth up to the modern equivalent of around $1,750.00 (depending on indicators).

Which means that the US government has already stolen about $1745.00 of the value. What could it hurt to take the last $5 away. Especially when it means we get to kill and starve citizens of other countries.

Jeez, you guys are so selfish!

About the panda situation and the Academy awards situation in your 'in other news' spiel....

omgosh - do you have a link to that post?

I renamed it and subsequently lost it in the shuffle. I'm thinking it was from around November of last year...
