Allison drop it

I could care less about your opinion. It is your attitude I can't stand.

I've given you enough time to drop it on your own. Apparently that is not going to happen.

So this is your fair warning and I will only give it once. If you want to keep it up, I won't think twice about banning you. AGAIN.

You are making me regret I ever let you back in the first place. Your behavior here is dispicable and an embarrassment, and not worthy of the Daily Paul.

All art is only done by the individual. The individual is all you ever have, and all schools only serve to classify their members as failures. E.H.

Little Doggies Bark All Day No Bite

Well listenership was up 15% on Tuesday's show, two callers, but apparently all the keyboard mashers whining about Rand Paul are all bark and no bite.
)

Just so I understand

You had 15% more listeners to your show? Congratulations!!

You are disappointed that you only had two callers or you're fine with having two callers but they weren't what you were hoping for?

The "key board mashers" are Daily Paul commentors?
"Whining" means: "barking, biting commentors"

So.. you are calling out Daily Paul commentors who bark, bite and whine about Rand to call into your show and entertain you?

I will never listen to your

I will never listen to your show cause you suck.

Good

Good, my show is not meant for blind partisan unknowns who have the intellect of a toddler. Have a nice day and carry on.

Want to know what is awesome, all you and your fellow Randians whining over a graphic have helped increase traffic both to the site and the stream.

Thank you.

Congratulations. You are the

Congratulations. You are the ultimate troll.

Are you done gloating?

I’m proud of the Randians as you call them for not calling in and taking your childish and immature bait that is clearly just you begging for a fight so you can feel big and bad.

You say that they are only responding to you with emotional responses, and in some cases I agree, but you’re not doing any better. You are simply going through Rand threads and calling people that support him names as though you are smarter or better than them because you came to a conclusion before they did.

You can’t force people to see things your way, you have to let them come to that conclusion on their own.

Some of my closest friends here support Rand and some don’t, and you are not better than any of them because of where you stand on the Rand issue.

You have gone from a positive force that promoted education on liberty related issues such as bitcoin to a negative, childish, and immature force mocking people and begging for a fight.

Maybe they didn’t call in because all you seem to do is call them names. Maybe they didn’t call in because they think there are better things to do with their time than fight with you over this issue. Maybe they didn’t call in because they don’t care enough to be laughed at and mocked for something they believe in and have been working hard on for a while.

Get over yourself. So, you came to some grand idea that not voting is the best choice….so did I. Again, it doesn’t make you or me better than anyone else who has yet to come to that conclusion.

You Sure Have a Lot of Maybes

I will just chalk it up to the fact that with Rand's latest op-ed calling for sanctions on Russia, their defense of their candidate just became a tad more difficult. Probably also doesn't help, Rand's fans publish an article telling those of us who object to his politicking, that our objections "suck."

But thanks for sharing your opinion.

Primary possible reason:

Potential lack of fair and civil debate. It is Allison's show, she has the absolute right to lead/control the show as she wants. I have no interest whatsoever in being talked down to or demeaned, or cut off mid-sentence and/or hung up on.

I gave Allison my number to discuss, she saw my call but never returned it. I have listened to her show and read through her posts to get a feel for how things would potentially go, I have not been impressed with her composure thus far.

Perhaps Allison will reflect and understand that we are all in this together, and also understand that we each must do what we must do.

That is why I love you PAF. Hope all is well.

The feeling is

very mutual, jrd :-)

All is well, I hope that everything is for you too!

You Have

You have emailed me twice, called the office twice so if you want to call in to the show then do so, but I am not as your last message requested doing a dry run with you before hand.

I will however, let you speak your position, and ask counter-point questions regarding his record. That is my only and final offer.

Mr. Swann is on in the first hour, so please hold your call until 8pm Eastern.

Thanks,

but no thanks, I do very well on my own.

Perhaps someday if you begin to practice what you preach, I may have a change of heart :-)

This woman does not deserve any more of our attention. Best take her advice, ignore her...perhaps she will go away.

Freedom of Speech

I do not particularly like that subway poster. To be fair, I do not like posters of opposition either. Facts and voting records should be promoted, in order to affect the change that we seek.

This is an active thread due to an exchange of information, keeping in mind that it bumps that subway poster. I will try, and try again, to refrain from posting in this thread.

This woman's got sense. I

This woman's got sense. I love the poster. I just can't believe the enthusiasm on this site for Rand. I can see maybe some reluctant support as a better-than-the-alternative kind of guy but this "Stand with Rand" delusional talk is nauseating. The dude may be one of the better Senators of the last century, but that ain't saying a whole lot. This "revolution" you idiots are looking for ain't coming with Rand Paul, as much as it saddens me to say.

Fanatical Worship

It is indeed sad to acknowledge that even in the Liberty Movement we have idolators similar to the Left-Wing members of the WAR Party who rationalize Obama's assassination of a 16 year old American as "justified", these Randians are pinning reform on a man who thinks Mr. Snowden should be in jail and cry murder at any criticism levied against their hero.

they are slowly getting boiled, like a frog

Watch them go all silent, just like the antiwar lefties, should Rand win and then start a war of his very own.

I think your boring and live in your own lala land.

I tried to listen to you during SOTU ... you were boring and made no sense. Mike should remove the name from your program ...

Its funny ... The democrats fund the libertarian Candidates because they know they are guaranteed the win.

If Libertarians cannot win in the republican primaries then they have no chance and should step aside. We need to win hearts and minds as we slowly take over the Party.

People like you should go live in a place where you can all self govern yourselves.

Childish

The notion that if we all stop voting and therefore delegitimize the system, we will somehow regain our liberty is completely childish and lacking in intelligence. We will never be able persuade enough people to do this. Therefore, it's not a practical strategy... Plain and Simple. It's merely a child throwing a temper tantrum by taking their ball and going home.

There are always plenty of people who are more than willing to vote themselves goodies (rich and poor). One can not sit by and withdraw their consent when we are in the middle of a peaceful revolution by electing liberty minded candidates.

Ms. Bricker has shown time and again that she is a typical anarchist who is a divisive voice in the Liberty Movement. If she doe not believe in taking action politically, then why is she here?

Ron laid out a practical strategy of taking over the Republican Party at the local level as well as State and Federal, and that is the mission we have been on since 2007. I, for one, intend to see it through, with or without Ms. Bricker.

Best Wishes and Godspeed

Best wishes on your endeavor. Should you ever tire of the tail wagging the dog, I look forward to working with you. Godspeed.

My rebuttal

First of all, I do not speak for anyone but myself. You mention that there are always plenty of people more than willing to vote themselves goodies. Is it not a fallacy that they have the ability to do so if they just get enough voters on their side?

Our rights were meant to be protected by the Constitution, but this has failed. The Constitution is like a ten foot leash on a rabid dog that is only nine feet away. Our constitutional republic has been bastardized into a tyranny of the majority.

By legitimizing the democratic process, you endorse all possible outcomes. If a majority vote for socialism, in a democratic society everyone gets socialism.

I refuse this. My rights are not negotiable. They cannot be voted away, and by the same logic they cannot be restored by voting. It will take a revolution of the hearts and minds of everyone involved in society, not just the majority.

I wish you and those like you the best of luck with your endeavors and sincerely hope you accomplish your goals. However, I cannot participate and hope you can learn to respect that.

"meant to be protected by the Constitution"

Incorrect.

The Constitution, Bill of Rights, are merely an outline. It is up to The People, to protect ourselves, to hold those who are in violation accountable, and to defend and protect the Constitution.

It has been a slow but steady course, and via the education system, to refrain from teaching property rights, individual rights, the intent of our founding fathers, that has led to where we are today.

This r3VOLution is hoping to reverse that course, and attempt to return to the principles that once made our country great. Some of us are in fact succeeding, because we are active in our communities.

...but rather an irate, tireless minority... however, power in numbers help :-)

And to quote Allison: "Wich is a bit frustrating given our instant gratification society."

It does not happen magically over night.

Are you saying the

Are you saying the Constitution is not a restraint placed upon the government?

The only rights the people truly have are the ones we can protect and freely express ourselves. The nature of government is to infringe until the point the people revolt. After such revolution, a new government is put in place with new restraints. But assuredly, the new government continues the infringement.

Why? Over and fucking over again. When will we learn?

"My country is the world, and my religion is to do good."
Thomas Paine

I am saying that the

I am saying that the Constitution was written for the People by the People, and that when ratified restraints were placed upon the government - by the People.

Here is the bottom line: You may argue Federalist versus anti-Federalist and have points on both sides that I will agree/disagree with. Regardless, the Constitution is what we have. If we accept that the Constitution is no longer valid, in this political landscape and overwhelming welfare in our country, it will be theirs for the taking to write a new document that everybody must abide by.

You may argue and make a case for anarchism/minanarchism, but when it comes right down to it, you will either pay your masters, if you work, purchase commodities, own a business, travel, etc., or serve your sentence.

This is an imperfect world. It has been for thousands of years, and will be for thousands to come. We either fight the endless battle, or lay down. That, of course, is a choice.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

You Might Wish To Read The Ratification Debates

You may wish to read the Virginia and Massachusetts ratification debates, Mr. Henry rightly and passionately denounced the hubris of the Philadelphia convention purporting to write a document as "We the People."

The convention was a ruse, its original stated reason for revising the Articles quickly discovered to be a lie by many in attendance such as George Mason who nearly called the convention an outright coup.

The ONLY reason the document was ratified was after the "Anti-Federalists" secured a bill of rights, which again Mr. Henry correctly predicted would be wholly ignored in due time.

The document is eloquent and the best attempt by mankind to restrain the government, but in the end it is an abject failure.

When I attended Louisiana Tech

The textbook for History 102, Give Me Liberty! An American History, exhumed a strong Federalist bias. I quote:

"Madison was so convinced that the balances of the Constitution would protect liberty that he believed a Bill of Rights redundant or pointless. Amendments restraining federal power, he believed, would have no effect on the danger to liberty posed by unchecked majorities in the states, and no list of rights could ever anticipate the numerous ways that Congress might operate in the future."
