You've already made the choice. Now you have to understand it.

This thread is the result of a wild sheep chase set off by BILL3's nice poem.

Once you get on the Daily Paul, there's no telling where you'll end up.

Enjoy. This is a scene from Matrix Reloaded, the second in the trilogy.

What? You haven't seen the Matrix Reloaded yet?

Reality is what cannot not be.

Parmenides c500 BC

Augustine in a letter to Honoratus, "the rational creature (being fit to become aware of its ground)... is made in such a way that by itself it cannot be the good by which it becomes blessed."

Augustine finds it odd that in the mind there should appear "the disgrace of the error when the mind cannot distinguish images of sense from itself and thus cannot see itself alone."

Having a philosophy requires the self's own stand. A stand one must gain by themself." ~FWJ Schelling at 19.

One of my favorite scenes

in the movie (not to mention the kick-ass fight scene before this conversation). I was blown away by the statement, "You have already made the choice, not you have to understand WHY you made it". I feel like that a lot in life. When you are confronted with an important choice, deep down you know the path to take, you take it and think about it later. Is it fate? Is it gut instinct? Or did your subconscious foresee the event unfold and think about all the possibilities? Maybe a little of each, time- the past, present and future, is just a figment of our minds anyways.

"It’s not pessimistic, brother, because this is the blues. We are blues people. The blues aren’t pessimistic. We’re prisoners of hope but we tell the truth and the truth is dark. That’s different." ~CW

Hey look! It's Neo!

Everyone has seen The Matrix right? But has everyone seen it reloaded, that is the real question, now you have to understand it.

You can reload it as many times as you want.

sure, but...

Spent the day trying to understand geometry, now this...

Disclaimer. Haven't slept in a while. I know last time I left you a vague sleep deprived comment I confused you. But my brain is on overdrive right now and your clip made me think of something I can't find a clip for right now, I'll keep looking though. I watched this documentary once and the guy's theory was that all of time has already happened. The line is not something that keeps moving, it has already occurred and the universe travels through the line. It does not dictate the line as the line has already been drawn. I thought it was interesting.

I think I heard that in a

I think I heard that in a movie called K-Pax

great movie

My favorite Kevin Spacey flick.

"The universe will expand, and it will collapse back on itself, then will expand again. It will repeat this process forever. What you don't know is that when the universe expands again, everything will be as it is now. Whatever mistakes you make this time around, you will live through on your next pass. Every mistake you make, you will live through again, and again, forever. So my advice to you is to get it right this time around. Because this time is all you have."

I remember that movie

It is worth revisiting, in light of House of Cards. That was amazing.

It was a great movie.

Like a meaningful book, a meaningful movie carries an entirely different meaning and message that the previous time you read, or watched it.

I remember how disappointed I was to see Prince's Purple Rain, well after its release date. Although it hit #1 at the time, 10 years later, it was ridiculous. It was, and he was (and remains) a sign of the times.

Exactly, kiddo!

Did you hear the oracle at the end? She called Neo kiddo!

Goodnight kiddo.

He's the man.

Goodnight Michael

I think I'm going to watch it soon ish in the near future. I want to see Morpheus again, and Oracle and Neo and Trinity and all of them.

They are good people

Morpheus, Trinity, Neo and the Oracle.

The second isn't as good as the first, and the third isn't as good as the second, but there are nuggets.

Great big huge thought nuggets for your brain to chew on.

He's the man.
