"Your Reason for Hating Rand Paul Sucks"

By Bonnie Kristian | March 10, 2014

Ron Paul is retired from Congress and the liberty movement he inspired is bigger than ever. Instead of one candidate all libertarians like, they now have dozens of candidates asking for their support.

And these candidates aren’t perfect. While Rep. Justin Amash has been dubbed the “new Ron Paul,” most politicians claiming the liberty label really aren’t consistently pro-liberty.

Take GOP Senator Ted Cruz. A constitutionalist who drew wide support from top liberty movement organizations, he’s perhaps the best-known advocate of free-market healthcare. Cruz is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, opposes the TSA and NDAA, and wants to let young people opt out of Social Security.

But Cruz also wants to keep fighting the failed war on drugs, ran on a platform of growing our already wasteful and bloated military, and took at best a tepid response to the NSA revelations.

So do libertarians vote for him or not?

Or, on the Democratic side, there’s Senator Ron Wyden. He’s a staunch opponent of civil liberties abuses from the PATRIOT Act, the NSA, and internet regulations like SOPA and PIPA—all important issues. He even voted against the bank bailout and criticized the stimulus.

But Wyden also supports gun control, backed U.S. intervention in Libya, and voted against the Balanced Budget Amendment.

So is he pro-liberty or anti-liberty?

TY. If folks like Alison would just go to a committee meeting, meet Ron Paul/Rand Paul Republicans, see what they are going through, she might dump her apathy and get in the arena to fight with us. Seems she likes a fight,, nothing like a good fight to satisfy those urges. GOP is perfect. :)

Instead she's fighting us.

Instead she's fighting us. Not very useful in this fight for Liberty if you ask me. People like her only drive wedges.

Odd aint it? Why would people try and disenfranchise others?

I can only think of a couple reasons.

Here's my tirade on the matter:

What sucks more is their

What sucks more is their attitudes. Allison here has made it her mission to beat us down. It's sad really...when we have to worry about our own people. I'm beginning to think they are not on our side.

"I love a chance to intellectually eviscerate a fan boy, Plus I will have a great little sound bite to use in promotional clips."

Guess who said this? No friend of Liberty here.

Couldn't have said it better,

Best of Luck

I find it far better to ignore a group of murderous psychopaths, but I am sure you folks can pull enough levers to reform them and keep them in line, because voting has done such a wonderful job.

I shall live free and ignore every decree they pass out of that swamp, perhaps someday you will figure it out, or maybe you will keep pulling levers until you pass from this Earth.

Thank you

I find that ignoring a group of murderous psychopaths keeps them in power, but I'm sure you folks have some angle to make a profit off that.. nothing wrong with making a profit, real waste if you're not, because voting is not what we're talking about here, but getting involved, staying involved, IOW not quitting when the going gets rough, and it gets rough. But folks like me know that they can not depend on folks like you to pull that lever for folks working to materialize Ron Paul's message. After all, you are already "living free". Congratualtions!

Or this guy.. I love this guy

asking Alison to join us

Right, because if you just

Right, because if you just close your eyes, the bad men go away.

You Obviously

You obviously do not understand peaceful disobedience if you think it means closing your eyes, but whatever makes you feel better about playing with politicians.

But to each their own.

Maybe I don't understand your

Maybe I don't understand your position. Could you explain how peaceful disobedience functions against say Blackwater, or the U.S. Marines, or the Mafia?

If you are attacked

There is no Peaceful disobedience required when assaulted, such calls for retaliatory defensive action, but outside of the goons with guns shooting you, there are plenty of manners in which to peacefully circumvent the system.

Your actual fear is that such action would be met with certain death, and as such prefer a path of trying to make nicey-nice with your federal overlords.

Fortunately the Founding Generation had the courage to resist, and pledged their lives, fortunes, sacred honor despite having death warrants over their heads and seemingly insurmountable odds.

Apparently, a few of you here prefer the Dickinsian approach of Sunshine Patriotism.

Peaceful disobedience will

Peaceful disobedience will only go so far. At some pint we need some good people in high places to toss us a bone or two.

Reminds me of

Kent State.

What, you mean they don't?

What, you mean they don't? Gasp!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, good comment my friend.
:)

What? Yes they do. As soon as

What? Yes they do. As soon as you give up, they give up. You don't seem to understand human nature very well...criminals always give up when they realize you don't believe in them. It is so soul crushing to them to not be believed in, that when you say no, they just give up, go home, and cry.

Bwahahahahaha! That's good.

Bwahahahahaha! That's good. Thanks, I enjoyed this immensely!

Well

ignoring them works right up until they yank you out of your car or kick your front door in. At that point, your probably out of luck on reform.

If You Are Not

If you are not ready to face such a possibility given the psychotic nature of government then I guess voting and playing nice with the system is your best bet.

Because I can tell you, should the violent goons with guns come to my door, I have no plan on going to one of their cages.

But you keep voting and shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic, I bet that is going to work out AWESOME one of these cycles, if not 2016, maybe 2020 or 2024, or 2028, or 2032...

Could you imagine a whole

Could you imagine a whole house or senate floor full of Justin Amash's and Rand Paul's? Soon enough elections will be relevant but we have to flood the halls first.

You are such a Debbie Downer.

Suppose

Keep on imagining.

Suppose I would be considered a Debbie Downer to an Unknown rube who still clings to their government school indoctrination regarding the all important civic duty.

Now run along and go pull your lever for your leader.

being against voting in general

as I am,I know that by not,I still get what others vote for
Which for the most part,is not what I want, nor would ever ask for
As far as having congress filled with rands or amash's,You don't
see there are some in there now named Rand and Amash?
What might help,is voting for local duties, and taking that over
city councils,state reps,dog catchers,sheriffs ect ect
D

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

This I can agree with! And

This I can agree with! And many of us here are running for these positions and winning. Honestly, I am more involved in local politics because it doesn't make a damned difference who is president as long as we still have peeps like McCain and Graham passing laws. Although, Rand as POTUS could be useful with his vetoing pen.

deacon's picture

Thank you

I too, agree with your comment about Rand
If we had enough in the states,it would not matter what the likes
of graham and or another mccain would do,this could effectively nullify
what the fed does
The sheriffs have that power already, but most do not follow through

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

Allison, I can assure you

Allison, I can assure you that you lost some fans because of this my self included. I know...I know...you're too good for us anyway right? Your attitude really does suck. It makes you a very ugly person.

Btw, your insults show how childish you are. But go ahead...keep bringing it cause I'll call you out every time. Or you can accept the fact that you are making a complete ass of yourself and either apologize for your crude behavior or let this thread die and walk away.

Your words

ring true,it is exactly what I look for in people.
How they talk, converse, what words are used,do they build up,or tear down?
It is my deciding factor in whom I would trust,or even bother to listen to.

Yup.
