Ukrainian gold reportedly moved to the U.S.Submitted by Free Silver on Mon, 03/10/2014 - 20:59
Ukrainian gold reserves reportedly were loaded on an aircraft at Kiev’s Borispol airport last week and flown to the United States.
The pro-Russian Internet news site, iskra-news.info, reported Friday that 40 sealed boxes were hastily loaded on an unidentified transport plane at the airport. Ukraine has 36 tons of gold, according to the World Gold Council.
A source in the Ukrainian government confirmed that the transfer of the gold reserves of Ukraine to the United States was ordered by acting Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk, who as you may recall was touted as a replacement for Ukraine's ousted leader by U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland.
