VIDEO: Edward Snowden appears at TED Talk

Today, Edward Snowden made a surprise appearance at a TED Talk in Vancouver. Tim Berners-Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web, also surprised Snowden by joining the interview towards the end. (Standing in for Al Gore I assume?) As you can see, he received a standing ovation.

Nice to consider the likelihood

that Mr. Snowden has himself visited the DailyPaul. His beliefs, how he discusses issues, his reasoning.. It really sounds like hes been hanging out here... I know the rumors that he supported RP. This could also lead us to believe that he has visited us here before.

This guy

is as articulate and diplomatic as Ron Paul, respect !

Surprise, surprise

Surprise, surprise, he also turned out to be among those who donated to Ron Paul's campaign.

I guess he had read about Ron Paul prior to that. And he got somehow influenced (euphemism).

But even before Ron Paul, we can probably thank his parents.

Lets declare an Edward Snowden holiday at the time of his

first revelations? Just a thought, but it seems it could continue to popularize all he has done and continues to do. What do you guys thinks, an Edward Snowden holiday, which could also be an opportunity to activate and create messages from THE message he has given, like worldwide rallies in honor of personal privacy!!!!!!!!!

Freedom!!!!!!…………………ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few dates to consider

Presidents Day

July 3rd

The day his identity was revealed in the press

Down for whatever sounds good amongst you all who get it,

thanks for your VOICE!!

I love this Idea! What day is

I love this Idea!
What day is it we are talking about?
I will take it off. It will be the opposite of Presidents day where government people get the day off and most everyone else works. The True patriots will take this day off. Sort of a non mass-demonstration but simply a mass occurrence. We all meet at the park! (many and varied.. or backyard or some other creative tradition to celebrate truth awakening..) (Hopefully the day is in warm weather...)

Not exactly sure, but I think the date he did his first

interview on camera was June 6th, 2013, I could be wrong, but it's the thought of it all which could really catch some popularity. Thanks for your energy!!

A good idea.

Celebrate him on his "coming out" anniversary.

Yes!! I would love for this idea to spread.

Take a day and let's celebrate the idea of privacy, liberty, and Edward Snowden for exposing the unconstitutionality of the NSA. This day could also recognize other whistle blowers along with freedom of the press. Maybe it could be a whistle blower day, down for whatever keeps liberty moving. Not sure if focusing on Snowden would market better since it's more current?

Just a slight correction for the OP, if I may:

Just a slight correction for the OP, if I may:

Sir Tim Berners-Lee isn't "the inventor of the Internet".

He is, however, the inventor of the World Wide Web, yes:

Just curious, has the MSM TV reported about this?

Good point, I don't think the MSM has really touched this

I've really only noticed tech blogs and smaller sites sharing this historic interview. It must really burn the MSM that Snowden hasn't done an interview with CBS, NBC, FOX... Can you imagine how pissed off Anderson Cooper's people are that Snowden won't consent to an interview?

It said Lol at the end

and I used Ron Paul's quote "What's going on here" from his debate where he says "Let me see if I get this right: We need to borrow 10 billion dollars from China, and then we give it to Musharraf who's a military dictator, who overthrew an elected government, and then we go to war, we lose all these lives, promoting democracy in Iraq? I mean, what's going on here?"
