It's over. South Carolina RINOs Vote Against Tom Davis' Anti-Obamacare Amendment. South Carolina Nullification is Dead.Submitted by Vots on Wed, 03/19/2014 - 23:49
I don't know what to say guys. I really thought this was going to happen. If any of you have been following my posts, I've been keeping the DP updated on the progress of South Carolina's Obamacare nullification bill.
It was passed by the House last year, and just hours ago, the South Carolina Senate rejected it. Tom Davis stood up there today and championed for us, but many, many Republicans stood with Democrats in its defeat. They voted against Tom Davis' anti-commandeering amendment which Judge Napolitano said would have been a legal model for other states to follow. The Senate then overwhelmingly voted against the House's nullification. Sen. Tom Davis and Sen. Lee Bright were the few standing up against the Establishment.
I'm so surprised, because it looked like it was going to happen. Below are a few tweets throughout the day...
