HA!...Reid: Obamacare Delayed Because “People Are Not Educated About How to Use the Internet”...or the telephone?

By: Annabelle Bamforth Mar 27, 2014

Another extension has been granted by The White House for its Obamacare enrollment deadline, despite previous reports that the deadline could not be extended beyond March 31st. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) attributed this delay to people not being smart enough to use the internet.

Enrollment by telephone is an option, but the long wait times might mean that Americans are also not smart enough to use the telephone.

It's funny how people are so dumb, especially when it's not about getting their votes.

Isn't it?

"Cyril" pronounced "see real". I code stuff.

Harry is a real shame.

the reverse is probably closer to the truth.

It's quite a feat of ignorance to make such a ridiculous comment.

How did this man become

How did this man become majority leader? He does not seem too bright and can not even talk clearly. He only mumbles.

just a liberal comment

Blame anything but us progressive liberals. Nothing new under the sun.

Money talks and dogs bark

Harry is obviously suffering the onset of althimers

The real problem is that ACA

The real problem is that ACA has more people enrolled who will receive more benefits from the system then the amount of money they put into the system, and the ACA has little to no people who are paying more into the system then they are receiving out of the system to balance out the equation.

The delay in accepting more people who will receive more from the system then they put into it is to give HHS and the rest of the Federal Government time to convince more and more healthy young people to enroll into the system, whom will put more resources into the system then they receive from the system, thereby balancing out the equation.

As long as healthy people refuse to sign-up to this system then the system is unsustainable and it will collapse; proving that socialized universal healthcare is impossible.

The government will most likely put more pressure on the Insurance companies to raise rates, which will then cause companies to cut insurance altogether and push the required people onto the ACA, to try and balance the equation.

I find it interesting that everybody's talking about how many people have insurance. Having insurance isn't as important as how many people can afford medical costs. Measuring the validity of the system by how many people have insurance does a great job at misleading people, because someone can have insurance with such a high deductible that it is neither practical to pay for, or useful to even have; however, the government and its apologists would tout how great it is that X amount of people -who didn't have insurance before- now have insurance. These people though don't mention the practicality or usefulness of having the insurance. Having insurance is a very different thing than having useful insurance; which is why nobody wants to talk about how useful the insurance these 'underprivileged' people are receiving actually is. Because it is not useful for anything than depriving people -who have very little money- of money which they weren't spending on insurance before.

You go Reid

You go Reid, tell them its Al Gore's fault for building it wrong.

ObombaCare is a failure

because young people will not buy something they don't want, don't need, and most cannot afford.

ObombaCare is history, not a matter of if, but when.

There are plenty of people

There are plenty of people who are clueless about the Internet and computers in general. I know a woman in her 30s who I literally witnessed click sporadically all over the place until she "found" the web browser. Then instead of simply typing in the websitename.com in the location bar, she put in google.com where she proceeded to do a search for "websitename.com".... and she still ended up on the wrong page!!!

But I don't believe that is the reason for the ObamaCare failure.

The failure is for one reason. Many people who could not afford healthcare prior to the law still cannot afford healthcare. It's really that simple.

This is what happens...

When people with no business experience but unlimited funds try to start a company from the top to cater to the entire population of the United States.

The President of the United States has now possibly found his true vocation, as a second rate salesman for his eponymous product. He has all the corporate media in the country fawning all over him to give him free time to promote his product and he still can't meet his sales target. In any other reality he would be on the street looking for a new job.

Speaking as a foreigner I must say I find it even more embarrassing than watching our own "leaders" flogging the long dead horse of patriotic pride in order to promote their latest wheeze, surrendering national sovereignty to the collapsing EU.

These people are shameless.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

Home run of a comment, Sir.

And adding insult to injury is the implied dig at the intelligence of an entire country of citizens! LOL! These DC crooks really do think the rest of us (whom they are supposed to *serve*) are a bunch of hee-hawing jackasses....

What would the Founders do?

Time to shift the blame

away from Reid!

"To no fault of the internet."

Ohhhhh OF COURSE it can't be "the internet's" fault, nor the piece of shitly-coded ObamaFail website's fault!

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

People used to take

classes to get "educated" about basic home use of a computer. Then the computers got easier to use and it wasn't necessary.

Defend Liberty!

"There's no hiccup or delay!"

..."It's just that hundreds of thousands of people tried to sign up and couldn't get through, so we had to extend the time".

So I guess it's fair to say you are NOT a bumbling idiot!...it's just that you're an obtuse individual who has no idea what you're saying when you talk.
