"Vladimir Putin is one of the greatest leaders of our time."

Those of us who have died to our country and no longer see the world through the tainted lens of American nationalism are ripe for accepting this.

He has great moral courage. He has declared war on the International Financiers and expelled the Oligarchs.

Have you ever listened to him speak? He, like Ron Paul, speaks off the cuff what he honestly thinks and has piercing insight. Youtube this guy. He actually cares about Russia, and is fiercely protective of her.

But most importantly, he is very hesitant to commit to any sanctions or military action involving other nations. If he does, it is strong and decisive. There is none of this political wavering. Here is a real person in the political world scene.

I haven't been on in a while since Ron Paul didn't get the nomination, but Putin is a breath of fresh air. Here is a great article about him. I'd love to get some feedback.

Are you really defending this shit?! You are actually, on a Ron Paul Liberty loving website, defending a tyrannical law with the EXACT Russian government talking points. I seriously am so flabbergasted, that for the very first time I am actually getting gut feeling that I am actually arguing with plant, a pro Russian, pro government operative that goes to forums to bolster the image of Russia. I am the stubburn liberty movement vets that fights with old stigmas, and Ill always rule out conspiracy last, because I dont like the pejoritive or label of "conspiracy theorist", but holy cow, this has to be counter psychologic operations, pro kremlin. I remember when I was just starting to wake up, Id defend Israel and Id get called nut job cookoo "mussad plant" what a joke, dumbasses didnt believe me that Im a nobody, lol.

But this is getting really red flag! Kremlin paid operatives have rumored to have infiltrated nonintervention.com contributor. Also, RT is UBER Pro Ron Paul and some of the indirectly related fringy elements of the liberty movement, but it isnt because Russia loves our constitution, ITS BECAUSE IT EMBARASSES THE GOD DAMN NEO COLD WAR ENEMY, THE US, and you dumbasses are playing right into their more intelligent propaganda preachers. THis same stuff happened during the 60s. Soviets had spies infiltrating some of the highest government offices. ALL non minimal limited government governments are bad. Ron Paul is a non interventionist, he advises DONT GET INVOLVED AND DONT PICK SIDES!!! Ron Paul also doesnt hate his country like some of you sick folks. I love my country, Id die for my country and its our own fault for being dumb and voting in these clowns who run our government. Rand Paul is the closest we get. WOrld not ready for Ron, but in the future there will be a new Ron Paul. A Putin as my president? ILL FUCKIN PASS THANK YOU!

Putin Increases Penalties For 'Illegal' Street Rallies

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed several laws on July 22, increasing liability for separatism and violation of regulations for holding rallies.

The Kremlin's website said on July 22 that the new penalty for separatist calls will be a fine of between 10,000 and 30,000 rubles ($285 and $855).

The maximum punishment for the felony will be imprisonment of up to four years.

Previous legislation had a penalty of three years in jail.

Publicly calling for separatism on the Internet, or by using online resources, will be punished by up to 480 hours of community service and a maximum of five years in jail.

There was previously no punishment for online calls for separatism

Putin is a very interesting

Putin is a very interesting man indeed!

I also enjoy watching & listening to his speeches & interviews. I often wonder what it would be like to see our own president interviewed in the same manner & answering to the same types of questions.

BTW- This is an old thread...

I feel sorta stupid kicking it all over again. LOL

*face in palm* Are you F'ing kidding me?!?!!

This epitomizes all the things I find wrong with the community on thsi forum. Its almost like Liberty is not the point, its almost more of an extreme populism that is whats driving many here, NOT libertarianism. I HATE what the USA has done as a bully super power, but Jeezus Chraist, US is doing what every flippin country would do with its power! Russia is a god damn dictatorship! If there was a Ron Paul in Russia, Putin would have him imprisoned or killed, but in America we just have the media ignore him. I feel bad to say this but its been a while since Ive literally wanted to slap a thread author. Wow... Putin, a great leader? More like a oligarch, dictator, executive branch power consolidator, stealer of his people's tax money.... There is no god damn good and evil. The US isnt bad or good, while Gaddafi, Putin, Assad, Saddam, etc, are good guys or bad guys. COUNTRIES ACT IN THEIR OWN SELF INTEREST! Thats why neocons saying Israels interests are our own, frustrates me JUST AS MUCH AS THIS BS JUST WRITTEN ON THIS THREAD, because Israel acts in its own interest as the US does. EVERY BIG GOVERNMENT WILL DO THIS. Its not evil or good, its selfish assholes, simple as that. Thats why its up to us to limit and stop our government from growing! Its our fault, not a diabolic evil. We let the evil happen. PUTIN SIGNED A LAW THAT SAYS YOU HAVE TO HAVE A GOV ISSUED LICENSE TO HAVE A POLITICAL BLOG!!!! If thats not tyranny, what the F*** is??? DONT BE A FLIPPING IDIOT!

Indra

Ron Paul 2012

If you read that law...

...it is set up to protect the public, not the government. The law already existed, they just expanded it to blogs with a certain amount of traffic. If you are going to report the news, then you better be able to back it up with documentation. That way you can't yell "fire" in a movie theater. They hold their media to a higher standard. If you break the law...they don't storm troop your house and throw you in a gulag. It's a process, just prove yourself. Would love to see this implemented here in the US. Your hysterical rant is typical.

I love this comment, and your others on this thread. Agree 100%.

PEOPLE OPPOSING TYRANNY - Real Grass Roots!
Are you a POT or a PET - Person Embracing Tyranny?

You believe your propaganda....

and I'll believe mine. And calm down, damn.

But if the government decides

what "documentation" is...

"Former KGB"....

....is is a title that they throw at you to help you categorize him as evil. My gut says he is a good man.

Did some research. Knowing the Trivium, I had to throw out opinions and stick to the facts....which didn't leave much.

**NO MORE WAR!

If Putin was a, "good man,"

If Putin was a, "good man," he would have stepped down from office in 2008 and gotten a real job.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

If he was a good man....

He wouldnt so BLATANTLY steal from his tax payers (watch VICE news on his olympics handling and buddy system kleptocracy), allow complete monopolies, poisons earlier Ukrainian pro western candidates years ago, imprisons ANY political rival of a different party. THis thread is just embarrassing. MAO ZE DONG WAS A GOOD MAN! Pol Pot was anti imperialist anti american too! We should totally have sympathy for him, I mean the killing fields were a necessary evil, of course! For that matter, Hitler was misunderstood and was only doing what he thought was best for his country. Stop being an idiot! Being a Ron Paul fan, should be expected to be of higher intelligence and moral compass. Please rethink this stupid shit.

17 up votes for Putin and

17 up votes for Putin and counting.

Support like this isn't going to help the Liberty Movement win over the hearts and minds of America.

After Putin serves his current term as president of Russia, he will have held power for almost 20 years.

People like to equate Ron Paul with America's greatest Founding Father, George Washington.

George Washington had the opportunity to be, "King," of America but he chose to step down from his position of power after 4 years and set a historical political precedent for future US presidents to follow.

Vladimir Putin has been corrupted by absolute power, absolutely.

If communism collapsed after the Berlin Wall fell down and the Soviet Union, "collapsed," too as we were all told, then why in the world does the communist party of Russia still exist and have a firm grip on Russia today?

"Gentlemen, comrades, do not be concerned about all you hear about Glasnost and Perestroika and democracy in the coming years. They are primarily for outward consumption. There will be no significant internal changes in the Soviet Union, other than for cosmetic purposes. Our purpose is to disarm the Americans and let them fall asleep."

Mikhail Gorbachev

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

The Constitution of Russia

The Constitution of Russia contains a modified form of term limits on holders of the office: it does not limit the total number of terms that a President may serve, but places a limit on the number of successive terms (a person can hold office as President for two consecutive terms, but then is ineligible to serve again until sitting out one complete term).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/President_of_Russia#Eligibility

You're not happy with THEIR constitution?

Do you have a case of neoconitis? You know a feeling as if it's our duty to impose American values and standards in the rest of the world even by force, ignoring cultural and historical differences between peoples?

BTW that Gorbachev quote made me laugh. Do you think they succeeded in disarming the US lol? Perhaps half of the military budget of the entire world isn't enough for your taste?

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom — go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, an

"The Constitution of Russia

"The Constitution of Russia contains a modified form of term limits on holders of the office: it does not limit the total number of terms that a President may serve..."

Thanks for pointing that out.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

You're welcome.

It seemed as if you did not know of that fact with all your complaining about the years that Putin has been in power. One of many differences between their constitution and ours...

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom — go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, an

I don't believe the point was ...

on the legality of multiple terms but rather on the demonstrated love of power.

While Putin "sat out a full term" he made sure he remained in complete control by getting his man into office and creating a completely new title for himself as "Prime Minister."

RIGHT!?!?! Read my post above. Unbelievable. Liberty movement..

Has just as many idiots as GOP loyal members... Unreal dude. This thread is so ignorant, its just embarrassing.

Why we are in the minority

Why we are in the minority here, I have no idea.

But it does show how we have our work cut out for us.

It don't come easy, that's for sure.

He is the ONLY world leader to stand up to the NWO though he

might be waning a little over Ukraine.

He has been fully scapegoated and unjustly accused of causing an uprising that is really a natural reaction to the US sponsored coup d'état that overthrew Ukraine's (more popular than supposed) duly elected President.

The world has hit him on all levels with all sorts of demonization including ridiculous sanctions not designed to change his behavior because the behavior supposedly targeted doesn't exist, but is really designed to remove him from power altogether.

I have many friends in the rebellious eastern part of Ukraine, and they wish he would come to their aid. Putin seems slightly paralyzed lately but at least that seems to be the only effect the NWO has had. And it isn't for lack of trying.

Still, I absolutely agree that he is one of the greatest (perhaps THE greatest) world leader of our time.

It's kinda tough grading world leaders...

you really have to grade on a curve or all of them would get and F-.

Having said that, I do not live in Russia so I really can't say, but Putin is very popular in Russia.

I am glad Putin is rebalancing the power in the world but I would not want to see Putin as the worlds only superpower...or anyone else for that matter, except for Ron Paul of course.

I would say so

Russia's history has been a reactionary one, constantly defending itself from European invasion and influence. Putin has dragged Russia out of Economic decline, (3X real wage increase, unemployment and poverty halved...) used strategic energy reserves to ensure its power on the world stage and has expertly navigated our meddling in Syria and Ukraine. I have respect for the man, Obama would not even look him in the eye and avoided him like a childish jr high student at the last summit.

Its a dangerous game facing the Financial oligarchs and the NATO guns they weld. Putin has done this quite well with a modern country and did not sink Russia into the hells of the USSR to do it

I dont know what else the Russians want out of a leader...

We all share this eternally evolving present moment- The past and future only exist as inconsequential mental fabrications.

Term limits.

Term limits.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Putin has been either

Putin has been either president or prime minister of Russia since 1999.

15 years of power and control in the hands of one former KGB agent is not good for freedom and liberty in Russia.

I personally think the title should be changed to, "Vladimir Putin is one of the greatest dictators of our time."

Putin is currently serving a 6 year term and will remain president of Russia until 2018.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

wrong

It wasnt a christian country, christianity was forced upon people, it was a political decision.

p.s. this is in response to the "freedom express" comment.

If you want to learn

the facts about Russia's history, which was established by Vikings, the Rus, as a Christian nation, then destroyed by the Marxist's Jews operating for the Rothschild cabal, and how Putin has worked to bring back the great Christian nation it once was, check this book out. It is a well researched book, cutting through all the propaganda of cognitive programming we have been taught. Here, are some free 'hot spot' excerpts from the book, 'A Talented Mr Putin'.

OK, TB

you wait when Christianity no longer exists in America, you see what Bolshevik Russia was like, and you see what Bolshevik Israel is like, so take a pick. Or, maybe you would rather be like the Vikings, the Romans, the Monguls, where it's survival for the fitest? You better be ready to fight like a bear.
