Obviously license plates

violate your privacy!

Other than getting pulled over everyday for no plates I would consider taking them off while still having my car fully registered.

Then explaining, due to license plate readers, redlight cameras, toll plate readers that these plates are an intrusion into our privacy. Maybe the ACLU will take up his case? Yeah right!

This is sad

Idaho is supposed to be one of the Redoubt states with a high level of Liberty-minded folks, not to mention some common sense.

Pulling over a 70-year old guy because of CO tags alleging fears of pot? Really Idaho?? Have you gone completely bat shit crazy?

Another case where the offending officers should be immediately fired and never allowed to work in any law enforcement, military, or security position anywhere in the US ever again.

I have been yanked off the road twice

in the past two years for no reason other than the Oregon and Idaho highway patrol wanted to look for drugs. They were not looking for me or my pickup and had no reason to suspect me of anything, they just wanted to help their quotas, be a hero, get promoted, make money for the regime, and maybe get to hurt someone and ruin someone's life. I know first hand that the cops accuse and accuse and accuse, trying to get you to say anything that they can use against you. They deliberately escalate the situation. It is really true that anything you don't say or don't do, or say or do is automatically Exhibit A evidence that you are guilty. Literally. Both times I was yanked I feared that the cop might get violent because they were both so crazy. In case you are wondering, I have never had anything to do with drugs in my life (like Ron Paul), and have never had so much as a parking ticket, and I'm old.

The Country of Colorado

The Country of Colorado should just boycott the peon roman states. Wolverines!!!!!!

We just need to legalize nationwide!

Man. Couple years ago, I was living in Texas, and drove to Illinois (long trip) to visit family. I didn't know my way around town, so I was driving somewhat slow looking at street signs trying to find my way.

I got pulled over and sicked the K-9 on me.

The cop said "I looked suspicious because I had out of state plates and was driving slow..."

Now that a couple of states have legalized, that multiplies the issue times a thousand!

So.... just legalize nationwide!

To hell with it, I am an anarchist, so just do away with the government altogether, problems all solved!

Good thing there are more CO

Good thing there are more CO plated cars than cops, so travel in bunches like a herd of gnus crossing a alligator infested river. Except this is a blatant way to enforce herd mentality on the free folks of Colorado.

Easy money brother. Greed won't ever stop. It will never be sated. How does one destroy Greed? Will it eventually destroy itself?

It's gonna be worse

When they rule cops can consider license plates as probable cause.

Haha, Very cool. I know Doug

Haha, Very cool. I know Doug Newman. Going from Colorado to Kansas also gets you pulled over for no reason. I have a very good friend who is an attorney in Salt Lake and he says the troopers in Utah pull over every Colorado license plated car.

What are they trying to prove?

I think they are so paranoid that they think everyone is a criminal! They want to be right about drugged driving, they are going to pull over everyone until they do!
