Matthew 24:6 vs. John McCain's Recent remarks

John McCain: "It's a tough war we're in. It's not going to be over right away. There's going to be other wars. I'm sorry to tell you, there's going to be other wars. We will never surrender but there will be other wars."

Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Talking about wars to come? What is the point in that? A rumor? This message needs to be passed on to the Christian right. I find it alarming that someone running for the highest position in this nation is so comfortable with the idea of more war. It makes no sense to me. Having been through a war, and seeing its destruction, why is he so willing to embrace another one?
