Dan Aykroyd Unplugged on UFOs

Dan Aykroyd is a veritable UFOologist. Who knew? Certainly not me, until one day last week when in response to the Dark Journalist: Catherine Austin Fitts - The UFO Economy thread, a comment arrived at the offices of the Daily Paul. In the mail.

You see, the Daily Paul exists not only on the internet, but in space and time as well. There is a back network of people mailing each other books, letters, DVDs, posters and othersuch whatnot.

The comment took the form of a DVD, titled Dan Aykroyd Unplugged on UFOs (not available on Netflix or Amazon Instant Video, the commenter pointed out) along with some handwritten explanatory notes, which are excerpted here:

The UFO Economy

It was weird to see everyone get so involved in that UFO Economy thread. Don't get me wrong, it was a great interview, but it didn't hold anything too groundbreaking. I have never heard it called the "UFO Economy" but rather know it as the idea of all the secrecy and probably vast amounts of $ being spend on some of these ventures.

This [the Aykroyd film] is one of the best documentaries I have seen surrounding government involvement with UFO tech. While it does focus more on the 'UFO's from Space' aspect rather than the $, it does go into [unintelligible] with some interesting witnesses and testimonies. It also lacks the dramatized fear mongering that goes along with say ... Alex Jones.

If you look beyond that, you still have to wonder how much $ is being spent on space tech programs we don't know about. I think some of our biggest debt is and will remain unknown and is hidden underground, has been going on for decades, and has nothing to do with political parties, either. It is about covering up some large and questionable programs, not just from the population but from Congress as well.

What do you think would happen to a smart ass asking too many questions about $ going to Area 51?

Again, not from a UFO perspective, but simply: How much $ simply gets funneled into 'military projects' at Area 51 without any questions or explanations? More than we will probably ever know. And anyone in congress who dares start poking around there will get mocked and probably not reelected."

It is pretty hard to ignore a hand written comment like that, especially when it shows up in the mail. This is one of the great mysteries of the Daily Paul.

Considering I'm still recovering from some kind of a bug that had me laid up in bed all day yesterday, I decided to watch the video today. Very interesting. And I had to pause it when Aykroyd got to talking about who he'd like to meet, if he could travel back in time. In order, they are:

Richard Feynman, Werner Heisenberg, Albert Einstein, Neils Bohr and Max Plank. "The quantum physics guys," he says. "Because there really is the root of understanding how and why the world is the way it is."

Dan Aykroyd, quantum physics guy. Who knew? Certainly not me, and I never would have if not for this place. Which makes it one more reason that I love the Daily Paul.

The cut to the next section of the film begins with this quote:

"Education is what
remains after one
has forgotten everything
he learned in school."
- Albert Einstein

At one point in the film, a journalist talks about asking Dick Cheney if he had ever, in all of his years of service in the Government, been briefed on UFO's.

His answer: "If I had, it would have been classified, and I probably wouldn't be talking about it."

Ronald Reagan said this *exact* same thing in the movie

Clinton is convinced that if aliens did visit Earth, bipartisan cooperation in Washington would be instantaneous.

Bill Clinton thinks we are not alone.

In an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Clinton said that when he was President, he actually asked aides to investigate what, if anything, the government knew about UFOs.

The search turned up no evidence of E.T. — but Clinton said he wouldn’t rule out that aliens exist.

“If we were visited someday I wouldn’t be surprised,” he said. “I just hope that it’s not like ‘Independence Day.’ ”

Ok, I admit it, my dad was from Planet X

He did say that. I always assumed he was joking. He said it with a twinkle in his eye, but maybe I misinterpreted. Maybe that twinkle was his memory of Planet X, coming back to life.

Who knows. He always said they were coming back for him. That they'd be back, anytime.

I do believe, after all these years, their patrol is out looking for me as well.

He's the man.

If that patrol ever finds you,

let me know. The wife and I would take a coach-class ride tha' fuck off this Prison Planet (no AJ pun intended) in a heartbeat.

From all of the weird animals that reside on this planet, why is this "figure" so hard to imagine being real?

Taller, shorter, fatter, skinnier, etc etc.

Even so, I'm sure some ET look exactly like humans and if we ever did a side-by-side, we wouldn't (possibly) be able to tell.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

I watched it maybe two years

I watched it maybe two years ago. It was either on Netflix or YouTube.

is quite a character. Heard an interview with him on Star Talk with Neil Degrasse Tyson. He comes from a family of 'spiritologists' - if that's the right word - and that led him into the development of the Ghostbusters concept. Seances and Ouija boards and like that. Quite knowledgeable on the subject of the paranormal.

He also has a blues radio show I listen to here on Aramco radio. Really authentic, rootsy type stuff, cool as heck. He really is a Blues Brother.

It doesn't surprise me a bit that he's probably a dam expert on UFO legend and lore, too.

I'm going to watch 'Mars Attacks!' again with an open mind.

lmao. UFOs are one of those

UFOs are one of those things which seem to have lots of evidence (along with disinfo) but which I can make nothing out of that has any practical meaning. It's just kind of out there. It has no way of actually impacting any of my day to day opinions. I can't work it into my model of reality because its so vague and unaccounted for.

It's similar to doubting a major scientific consensus. The doubt may be there, but if you don't have an alternative model or an explanation, you are stuck in the paradigm and its explanatory mechanisms.

I hear ya

That's how I feel about at least some religions.

I find that hard to believe also

But I think the bigger point trying to be made with the Catherine Austin Fitts interview and this documentary is to get past the idea of green men from mars and simply ask; how much money is being spent on programs researching this stuff?

But you can't ask that in congress because when you do you are made to look mentally unstable and like a 'kook' and you get accused of 'believing in aliens.'

But money goes into researching alien life and space technology well beyond money at NASA. And again...what happens when a congressman starts asking too many questions about money being funneled to military projects at Area 51?

Shouldn't we at least get to know how much money? Not even necessarily what it is used for (although that would be nice to know), but how much?

Also lets say a majority of UFO sightings is just the government playing around with technology trying to put things in the air...Again, take it away from life from outer space for a min, just government's making toys....those have to cost a ton of money, where is that money coming from and shouldn't voters/taxpayers get a say as to how it is used?

Wanna know what my Dad said to me a few days after 9/11?

He said, start paying attention to how many times you hear the word 'terrorism' or 'terrorist' or any variation of that over the next couple months, I bet it will be more times than you can imagine right now.

Not word for word, but something like that.

I always remembered him saying that.

Anyways, I wonder what that othersuch whatnot you speak of in the DP underground mail railroad includes...

Soap, music boxes, records, magazines, postcards, pens, pins, pictures, stories....

Stuff like that?

Barry Goldwaters confrontation with General Curtis Lemay

Many of you probably don't remember Senator Barry Goldwater? Due to his constituents repeated requests for him to look into UFOs, he did. The comments he made in this video confirms there is a military connection that is concealed to even the highest ranking members of congress.

More on Goldwaters requests for information from the USAF, congressional hearing on UFOs.

Lemay was a scum liar and military profiteer.

I`d like to go piss on his grave.
