Dr. Paul will find the right person, and it won't be a socialist

I am sure that Dr. Paul will find the right person to complete the ticket, someone who above all, shares his values regarding limited government and the economy. That person is not Mr. Nader or any other socialist. While Mr Nader and others who share his ideologies may be great people, and I applaud their dedication, their fundamental view of the role of government are the complete opposite of Dr. Paul.

If you are going to support Dr. Paul PLEASE PLEASE study, learn and UNDERSTAND WHERE HE IS COMING FROM regarding limited government and freedom, and please stop trying to pair him with socialists. You will only confuse the voters!

There is a place where the right and left meet: it is in a healthy distrust of big business. RP and Nader have this, but only this, in common. Nader is a socialist and loves big government - the opposite of Ron Paul and all we stand for.

Why do so many Paul supporters not know the difference

Paul's and socialists? Paul's philosophy and socialism are incompatible. The more I'm involved in this campaign, the more I come to the conclusion that most Paul supporters don't understand Paul's philosophy. He's a pure capitalist that wants to prevent government from regulating business and business decisions (including the media), wants to eliminate minimum wages laws, affirmative action, and so on.

Pure capitalism arises from pure freedom, DUH!

"Welcome to 2008: The Year of Ron Paul!"

I think it's that both have a reputation of gadflies

And occasionally there are issues of mutual interest. Nader has worked against corporate welfare but not massive socialist entitlement programs. Paul is against both, so there is partial commonality of interest, not on the big picture, but on certain problems.

Politics draws together strange bedfellows.

Corporate regulation vs. dereguation?

That ain't gonna' work!

I like the fiscally conservative / socially liberal mix of Paul/Nader...

If that is not the most ironic thing I have ever heard I do know

what is!!!!
You can not be a social liberal and be a fiscally conservative.

It works in Kahli-Fornia

Schwartznegger is exactly that and seems to be doing pretty ok for CA.

Yeah, that's why CA is buried in debt and going bankrupt.

Go President Paul!

’In accordance with the principles of double-think it does not matter if the war is not real. For when it is, victory is not possible. The war is not meant to be won, but it is meant to be continuous.’ (George Orwell, 1984)

If I remember correctly, it started out much much worse.

And it was brought on by Enron, which CA erroniously blamed Grey Davis for which lead to the special election that brought in the Governator. Strange indeed.

No way!

Ralph is no constitutionalist; he's a big government fascist, "unsafe at any speed".

if people respected the constitution

if people respected the constitution, they wouldn't pollute (future life depends on a clean planet); they would make things unsafe (current life depends on a safe environment); etc...

in general, if you're protecting those folks who violate the constitution, I think that's wrong; ralph nader simply has reminded people, through his policy work, exactly what the constitution requires; honestly, I wish people heeded what the constitution said, and didn't need a reminder-- like Rudy did, but people are blissfully unaware.

i'm happy for patriot Dennis Kucinich; patriot Ron Paul; and Patriot Ralph Nader!

What's worse?

A McCain/Ghouliani ticket
A Hillary/Obama ticket

or a Paul/Nader ticket?

Nader would only isolate him

Paul needs an insider as VP to make him 'competative'
Buchanan would be nice, Goldwater too, hey what about that Huckabee guy?

Not Huckster or Buchanan, please!

Not Huckster or Buchanan, please! Why don't we just let Dr. Paul decide instead of speculating...
