Jeb Bush Courted by big campaign donors; Adelson makes 2.1 billion overnight; New Law says "infinite" amounts can be donated...

OK, so let's put this puzzle together.

Now big donors can give "infinite" amounts to political campaigns.

Combined with recent news on a call for massive amounts of money to be poured into a campaign push for Jeb Bush, in light of the GOP being scared of Rand Paul...

Combined with Sheldon Adelson "suddenly" making 2.1 billion literally overnight after being courted by republicans...

The game is all unfolding before our eyes.

"Who can we buy out for the next presidency?"

It's so depressing.

Reasonable - Given Inflation

We may all need those caps removed since they're set in FRN's.

What do you think? http://consequeries.com/

Ron Paul

beat Romney in 2012, and Romney had more money. That's why he stole the election from Paul, couldn't waste all that money losing to Ron Paul.

TV Businesses will be drooling for Adelson ads

In 1998 Jesse Ventura Spent $250,000 When He Became Governor

Ventura's Democratic and Republican opponents raised $4.3 million for their campaigns; Ventura spent $250,000.

When asked why he won he said, "I told the truth"

Christie is getting a lot of focus again

I wonder if the Bridgegate scandal was a setup.

If it was, Christie is now outright owned.

Christie went to see Adelson on bended knee, it was quite pathetic. Not normally his personality at all. It seemed rather strange to see a blowhard like Christie with his tail between his legs.

Now big donors can give "infinite" amounts to political campaigns.

I'm not sure that's correct. As far as I understand it, total donations no longer are limited but the limit to donations for individual candidates remains in place.

...

Money in politics will mean

Money in politics will mean nothing when the US dollar means nothing

In that pic of Adelson.....

it looks like the ball gag was just removed from his face.

Me thinks

Koch is stepping up to give Adelson and Jeb a run for the money.. wonder who Koch would back?

The reason there is too much

The reason there is too much money in politics is because there is too much politics in money. When congress spends about a 100th of what they spend now, and when they control a 100th of what they do now, we will have Far far fewer people complaining about too much money in politics.

It's more likely the (fake-)money printers doing it

It's more likely the (fake-)money printers picking up US presidents, these days.

Not "just" the "money".

Remember, they plan. That's what they do. Centrally, secretly, with their spreadsheets they worship. Because they can't produce crap, besides on a toilet seat, only new ways to suck on our sweat, past, present, and future.

As the parasites they are.

Oh, who cares? Adelson can

Oh, who cares? Adelson can pour all of his personal fortune into campaigns and they still won't win. Big deal.

That's what he wants

he puts money behind an attack dog to chew up the guy that has the best chance if he doesn't like him.
He doesn't look healthy to me. I've heard he has serious heart problems.

Yeah but money still doesn't buy elections

For reference, see Meg Whitman:

The California governor's race was always Whitman's to lose. And, sure enough, she lost it -- in spectacular fashion. At the beginning, Whitman had at least five things working in her favor. She was battle-tested thanks to a tough primary with a Republican challenger. She had an enormous amount of personal wealth, enough to allow her to spend a whopping $140 million of her own money on the quixotic bid to become chief executive of the Golden State.

you can add Linda McMahon to the list as well

She spent a large fortune in ct and didn't even come close to denting the dem stronghold on this state

That is great to see

That someone can actually lose even though they had all the money. Gives you some hope.

For more hope...

Just see Mitt Romney. LOL.

maybe a few billionares will go crazy

and spend all their money. We can hope.
