What are you doing with your life?

How would you answer that, if someone asked you?

Are you living up to your full potential?

What would you say?

Please, say it here.

I think it is up for each to discover why is here?

This year I started studying human anatomy for no particular reason. I actually mastered coronary anatomy, learned the name and place of every bone in the body, learned most of the muscles other than some in the neck, hands and feet. Then, when I felt I had a good understanding of the body, I got disappointed there wasn't more. Then I stumbled upon neuroanatomy. The knowledge pool of neuroanatomy is exponentially greater than that of the body. I dove into that with excitement and have really learned a ton. I have a really good grip on the major structures in the brain and am able to tie them to some the limited knowledge on functionality we have.

It's good too, I needed that. You can only learn so much about outer space, once you get to quasars and gamma-ray bursts, your pretty much at the end.

And chess too. Lots of chess, I don't think I could have done that if I wasn't playing chess every day.

Standing for Truth

Ephesians 6:10-17 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, AND HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Freedom is the ability to do what you want to do.
Liberty is the ability to do what you ought to do.
"Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." 2 Corinthians 3:17

I'm living life with the principle..

What is truly good for me is also good for everyone else involved.

I use non-toxic products good for me no toxins in my body. Good for animals non-toxic products are not tested on animals. I do this with food and as much as I can with clothes and other items.

My physical body has more potential because of it.

Emotionally I'm recovering. I lost my mother 2 years ago, I lost my best friend and my little brother 4 years ago. This was emotionally crushing as those two were the most dear people in my life.

Financially I have been working hard for 4 yrs to learn and apply online marketing skills. I earn money in various ways. My income is diversified. I pay enough taxes to keep the IRS off my back. My work is mobile, all I need is wifi and a laptop and I can make money. Making enough to survive and travel and I love doing it.

Physically I am in great shape at 40. I still skateboard and exercise throughout the day.

Spiritually. I try to meditate.

Full potential? I would make more money, help more people, and travel more.

I have a girlfriend that means the world to me. I think she drinks too much. I worry about her but since I must "live and let live" I don't try to get in the way of her drinking. It's her freedom.

Oh and I love having the DP. This is where I come to hear/read sane people discuss things that matter.

Things are good.

Deep down everyone is Libertarian.
Live and Let Live, form of government.

I spend most of my days repressing myself. I want more than anything to be free. Freedom is unobtainable in America. We are brainwashed by the public school system/media that we are free and that our government is spreading freedom around the world, but nothing could be farther from the truth. My urge to be free is more likely to put me in a cage or a coffin so I pretend to be a humble slave. I don't do this because I am afraid. I do this so my kids will have a two parent family.

Your children...

you will come to find, would rather have protection in principle than protection from authority.

Read my post on The Shift friend...

"I want more than anything to be free. Freedom is unobtainable in America."

There is more to freedom than that printed on elder paper or in the oaths taken to defend such papers. True freedom is in the liberation of your mind and spirit firstly.

That control is why

they haven't outlawed parents yet. Alone we would never do what we do for our children. And they use it against us.

I am skeptical of most everything

Especially modern writers and ideas. I try not to be skeptical in a dismissive way. I try to be skeptical in a 'show me more, I'm not quite convinced' way.

I'm only positive in outlook. I try to avoid being around negativity. I know how to turn negative into positive regarding situations, even the worst kind.

I am a specialist in the oil and gas industry. I make more than anyone I know. I could care less. Capitalism is nothing but a game. Wealth is nothing but an illusion.

I have self-studied history as a hobby since I was 8 and first read Wallis Budge's texts on ancient Egyptians.

I became a political activist the day I discovered Dr. Paul via Infowars and began occasionally lurking on the DP four years ago.

My favorite contributor on the DP? Smudge Pot.

My least favorite? Anyone who stifles free discussion.

I plan to retire in Peru or Chile, living next to the ocean, enjoying my sailboat and combing through Mayan traces. I plan to retire early.

I've got a 20 year old letter from my best friend in

high school explaining all the reasons why I sucked.

I'm just trying not to be that guy anymore.

Don't feed the pandas. Ever.

Trying to be a successful failure

I'm a big disappointment to my family and my wife.

Had a big degree and career, but gave it up.

Gave up the family religion.

Couldn't handle doing what didn't make sense, but few can understand.

Have a simple job and a simple life. Just going day by day, growing food, burning wood to stay warm.

Relatives keep quizzing me to figure out why I'm not "trying to live up to my full potential".

Brother is going to build a big house after all his kids are gone, paid for by business that serves government subsidized farmers. Other brother has millions in real estate, which he got through his and wife's government jobs. BIL has condos in Caribbean paid for by his home health care business that rips off Medicare.

All about getting more stuff. They laugh at my old car. They keep up with fashion, while I wear what's comfortable.

I am an embarrassment, but don't really care any more.

If you're not happy with the way you've lived your life, you should do something about it. If you want to rob the taxpayers like the rest of your family - do that.

Every individual should do as they please.

If someone tries to use shame as a tool, they are no compatriot.

Everyone is just six degrees of separation from changing the philosophy of the world.

Bet on it.

Hey, hey, hey...

I can relate. I went six years of college to get a music major, which ended as a minor due to my stubbornness in completing the thesis assignment the "Dean of Musique" required. I gave up six years of musical study in order to maintain my principle that my studies would be wasted on a stupid research paper rather than a public performance of my works. You know what...who cares! I studied what I loved and whether or not my degree gets me in the door to another position is irrelevant, however my family would disagree.

I wear the holiest clothes around, just ask my wife. In fact, the t-shirt I'm wearing is separating at the neck and the armpits are blown out completely...who cares!

When you meet your end just remember this: you are taking a ride that absolutely forbids baggage...the material things are absolutely, in the end, pointless.

Live More and More Intensly

I got divorced recently (after 8 years of separation) and this year I will be 60. Although being single allows you to finally live your own life accordingly to your own rules, it is hard to say that it is in any way fulfilling. There is always unexplored potential. I do my research in my area, take care of my grad students and other students, find time to pursuit my interests in historical knowledge which is both, related to all kinds of conspiracy theories as well as belonging to the main stream historical fields, I do paintings and/or drawings, travel and explore other cultures, make friends around the world and learn all the time. Learning is the most important part of my life. You are probably brain-dead person if you cannot learn anymore! For me learning Chinese (in my age of 60) became an obsession and I am doing a progress (I already know 4 languages). Please remember knowledge is the real power. Lack of it is a disaster.

The basic problem is that one believes that everything is real, and thus everything is treated as such.

Sorry to hear you got laid off

Pause and reflect - that is always a good thing.

Best wishes, and best of luck Cyril. Thanks for gracing us with your presence here. You're a good man.
