The Shift (Part II): FoundationSubmitted by The Pen on Wed, 04/09/2014 - 12:16
Thank you to those who read my thread, The Shift (Part I): Focus. This thread will attempt to analyze the result that such focus will have and how that result will strengthen and empower an organic, cooperative and tolerant atmosphere as the shift will enter this second stage.
What will be the result of the internal focus I’ve suggested in Part I? What will drive the sustainability of the result? The result will come in the form of a new foundation by which we as human beings subsequently give rise to by the correction of the focus from external to internal. The sustainability of this result will be driven by the realization that there is a great and long-ignored need within each of us to restore the trust in our own choices. As our focus shifts from that of the loyal follower to the honest confider-of-self, we will realize how much power we have ceded to the compartmental expertise of others over the wholly and by the compartmental, repressed expertise each of us was born with to provide for the health of our own vessels. The foundation of the shift is cognitive and inquisitive internal listening, thus leading to an internal focus.
Such a foundation will inevitably arise when our focus is aligned with the internal. We must make it [safe] again for us to focus internally in order that there is any genuine movement towards the “foundational” marker of the shift. When I use the word safe, I mean we must allow the internal focus of every one of us to be free of the impingement and fearful ridicule of the external keepers. Those who are involved in the perpetuity of distracting our internal focus, whether through medial, pharmaceutical, genetic manipulation, weather modification, the reckless use of resources or repressive educational means are by every means deliberate or intentional in some aspect of this perpetuation. What has happened to [us] that we play the provoker, encouraging detrimental consequences by our disrespect for the planet? We harness nuclear resources, yet our disposal-in-storage of the byproduct and waste is absolutely implicative of the annihilatory consequences that will come in the event of a natural disaster, i.e. Fukishima.
We harness petroleum resources, yet our insatiability and crippling dependence on oil has absolutely led to the decimation of local and large-scale ecologies as we plunge forward to tap abundances that are dangerously positioned and susceptible to natural disaster, i.e. Deepwater Horizon. We harness agricultural resources, yet [our] emphatic restlessness with modifying [God] has led to an apathetic and passive view of the mother we have all received nurture and life from, i.e. Genetically Modified Organisms. When will our capacity for common sense meet our capacity of ignorance in utilizing it? These concepts may sound vague to an extent, but I base these ideas on personal experience. By allowing the [foundation] to grow within myself, I am allowing through openness and trust the shaping of an internal focus; looking within rather than seeking answers from [others] without scrutiny. We are not sheep. We are not lost. We simply are led to focus on that which can and will continue to hurt us internally, i.e. our health.
My admission to you all is this (and I respect all of you for your perceptions and criticisms of it): I will no longer vote, grovel for others to represent me, follow blindly, plead, fear or repress my thoughts in shame. I owe myself more. I owe those who I know more. I owe you all more than that.
Peace and LOVE always.
