Wasn't it Delirious where Eddie Murphy did stand up about his...

mom being a bad-ass at throwing shoes?

I think women these days are out of practice. Had that been 30 years ago, Hillary would have gotten some more soul.

Practice up ladies. This is disappointing.

Hag at the Circus

T'was an ol' woman
Nearly hit by a shoe

Lie cheat and steal
Was all she could do

But on that sweet day
when the flying shoe came

The hag made a move
To prove she wern't lame

She dipped and she dodged
like answers to Benghaz'
And the shoe on the floor was slain.

So the story goes
That it was all just for show
And the Witch did it for fame

One last word to the wise
It's all disguise
And next time take better aim.

my two theories

1 - Her reaction was slow because it was staged and she is a poor actress.

-or-

2 - She is still battle hardened from dodging sniper rounds in Sarajevo, and would have stood stoically except that she knew she had to show her soft human side and then broke into her little witch dance, albeit just a tad too slow.

I'm surprised that....

There isn't a big effort to throw out a lot of negative Hillary memes. Slacking.

This doesn't sit right with me.

I know my thinking isn't quite back to normal yet (well, normal for me, anyway), but this incident strikes me as odd.

1) Why would a blond (American?) woman throw a shoe at her? Why not something else or just yell out? The shoe is a Middle Eastern gesture, not a Western one.

2) Why would she duck after the object was past her? and

3) Why would she have a smile on her face when she ducked down? Even that smile looked evil to me.

Was this staged? She then cancelled her live appearance at a conference in San Diego where she was to be the keynote speaker today, because of a planned protest over her dismissive comments about Benghazi.

I know I have a tendency to overanalyze things at times. I just get suspicious over coincidences(?) like that.

But then again

I don't want to discourage your questioning,

That is a good job of trying to look outside the box.

"Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito."

This was not even close to staged.

Why would a blonde girl throw a shoe? Who cares about her hair, and who cares if it was a shoe, or a poker chip or whatever? It was attempted assult on an alleged mass murderer. Plenty of people would want to do that.

Why did Hillary duck after it passed her? Obviously she has slow reactions. Her reaction was as real as real gets.

Why did she have a smile afterwards? She originally thought it was a bat, not a baseball bat, a mammalian bat. She only mentioned softball after she realized someone threw something. Originally she thought it was a flying animal.

If you think this is a false flag, bring me more than this.

"Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito."

She also had her post-shoe-throw comeback lines well prepared.

These people are incapable of doing anything spontaneously. You are right.
This bin Laden Raid picture was staged also:

I thought the same thing!

Her belated/overreaction and the strange grin on her face. It is not a stretch to imagine a politician fabricating a situation like that to drum up sympathy, create a headline and avoid an uncomfortable and possibly damaging future appearance.

Thank you, Lou.

Relieved to know someone else got that impression, too. I don't feel so stupid, now. Many thanks!

Is it really that much of a mystery? Everyone's got shoes, and not even the tightest security requires you to take your shoes off *and leave them with security* to see a public speaker. I duck all the time after the fact, it's just human nature. She's smiling because she's a performer and wants to be president of the United States.

I have never been so proud

of a flying shoe in all my life. Had it flown straight and struck it's mark I would have rejoiced and then laughed my head off as I watched it over and over!

Hillary's pose resembles the Wicked Witch of the West.

Someone should throw water at her next time. Will she melt?

I had the same thought. The movements of a demonic witch.

Interesting body language indeed, even her voice matches

I thought the same thing, and made a post below of the flying monkeys scene just four minutes before your post, Steve. Great minds...

Appreciated, Promisekept

If only we had a full facial view of her when the shoe was thrown perhaps would we have also seen the her lizard pupils.

She's spooky enough all by herself

I won't speculate here on just what inter-dimensional critters may be behind those facial expressions, but even without hearing what she's saying, you just know something's wrong on many levels, eh?

I won't revel in this shoe-toss, not because there isn't cause for sympathy with the thrower, but because of the lack of remedy it brought. When folks react to their revulsion at this level, and in this manner; then hit or miss, the person of reproach gains more than loses by it, sadly.

She has

poor reflexes. Too bad that girl didn't have better aim.

Had to laugh at Dale Robertson's comment below.

My initial thought when seeing that still shot is always "And I thought I had wrinkles?". However, my next thought, when watching the video is always, "Wait... she ducked AFTER the shoe was past her and she's smiling." Anybody else see that or are my wrinkles distorting my vision?

Dale just passed away last year.

He was a good actor and lived a long life...died at 89 in 2013. Like a lot of movie stars he was married many times, the last time for 33 years.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

My apologies, David!

I didn't even make the connection and had already edited my previous mistake in typing "Robinson" instead of Robertson. I really messed up on your name. I'm so sorry! Those darn wrinkles!

No apology needed, Nonna.

Seriously I wasn't at all offended. The name you gave me just reminded me of the actor who used to play Western heroes. I always enjoyed Westerns since they usually dealt with simple moral issues and resolved moral dilemmas.

This at least was true of the older films. I believe Sam Peckinpah's 1969 film "The Wild Bunch" marked a departure from this format and focused more on mere violence for the sake of violence which in my view is a giant step backwards in consciousness, to the mentality of Cain and his descendants.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)

Thank you, David. Still, it was rude of me.

Completely agree about the old westerns vs. post 1969 films. When I was young, I didn't enjoy the westerns very much, being a young girl at the time. Now that I am old, I enjoy the morality stories of those old westerns. John Wayne, Walter Brennan, Gary Cooper, Bob Steele, Forrest Tucker, Jimmy Stewart, also come quickly to mind.

I fail to understand why men think violence for the sake of violence makes them "real" men. Here's what I believe it takes to actually be a real man: http://youtu.be/duu0bCkSlUo

The break down of morality has damaged America. I believe it was done slowly, subtly, and quite deliberately in many areas of entertainment, news and education. We are paying a heavy price for it now but, thank goodness for the internet! Now people can get more accurate information at best, and at the very least, come to know there are other sides to the stories the MSN are (or aren't) covering.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Her skin is really wrinkly.

She won't like that shot of her wrinkles being exposed. I think she is rather vain and likes to present a very polished image. Her skin is looking paper thin, which is normal for anyone in their seventies...but she is still only 66.

She will be 68 when she runs for President and the office always takes its toll on the body. Obama now looks at least fifteen years older than when he started. She should consider this when contemplating her nomination campaign. It may be a bridge too far.
