Did Stanley Kubrick Work on the Moon Landing?

Hey Guys,

I spoke to Jay Weidner, one of the stars of the fantastic documentary Room 237, who discusses his beliefs that Stanley Kubrick faked the footage of the moon landing. There are lots of interesting twists and turns in the can of worms he opens up, and I can't recommend either Room 237 or Weidner's own film, "Kubrick's Odyssey," highly enough.

Mr. Weidner turned me on to an amazing website at www.aulis.com that shows some impressive "parallax" photos that seem to prove that the distances portrayed are all wrong. This is an idea that I've found actually holds some water with people who roundly reject conspiracy theories--what do you guys think? Was Neil Armstrong really the first man to walk on the moon?

It was the height of the Cold

It was the height of the Cold War. If we would have faked it, Russia would surely have evidence and ridicule us to the world. Plus, we had the technology at the time to travel to other galaxies, but we really didn't have the technology to do all kinds of CGI and camera stuff.

Russia may have been faking

Russia may have been faking their outer spaces successes as well.

Then we would have proven

Then we would have proven that and embarrassed them. All the world's advanced governments were watching the event. If it was a sham, it would have been easy to expose, seeing as how most of the world is the US's enemy.

I used to consider the possibility that the moon landing..

was fake but what convinced me it wasn't, is that there are reflectors that scientists routinely bounce lasers off of. The moon landing was real, now lets move on to more important things like reptilian shape shifters.

The laser reflector argument was debunked years ago.

Lasers were bounced off of the lunar surface in 1963 without a reflector. The reflectors could have been placed there by unmanned probes like the Russians successfully did prior to Apollo.

Neil Armstrong Would Not Swear on a Bible that He Walked on

So I am 33 years old, and if someone asked me to...

swear on a bible that I was not in cahoots with Lee Harvey Oswald to kill Kennedy 50 years ago, and I refused to swear on that bible, that would mean I was hiding my involvment in a conspiracy? That guy with the bible is a weirdo, I wouldn't play his game either.

There are reflectors on the moon you can bounce lasers off of, isn't that enough physical proof?

"Conspiracies" aren't uncommon...

But the Apollo Moon landings are -really- well established facts. You won't find a single aerospace engineer who looks at the equipment Apollo used and says "That couldn't have worked". And the gear still on the Moon is exactly as they left it. There's absolutely no reason to believe that the Moon landings didn't happen as depicted.

Though I should point out that the Hubble isn't really the best telescope to look at the Moon. It's designed to take in VAST amounts of light so that it can see super faint objects on an inter-galactic scale.

probably unrelated, I noticed a girl on jay leno

the only reason it struck me was because i remember it from the conspiracy hypothesis i read a few years prior. allegedly the sweater and the room # was the tell, and so the sweater always seemed like a sigil.
