What did you TODAY?Submitted by G on Thu, 01/31/2008 - 00:37
What did you do TODAY to support the Ron Paul campaign? One poster suggested that he "sent in his money" and is apparently upset that Ron Paul is not already the President. In fairness, this individual seems to feel that he is not getting his 'monies worth' because Ron Paul is not behaving in the way that this 'contributor' expects him to. What is this? A Lobby? Does this poster feel that they can "buy" the Presidency? Isn't that exactly what we are railing against?
I have not seen tonight’s debate (see my post about turning off your TV) but I have read the transcript. The result is about what I expected. The media attempts to ignore and undermine Dr Paul in whatever manner they can and have resorted to "avoiding" him out in the open by passing over him as often as possible. The fact remains, that when the man speaks, the things he says are relevant, honest, and powerful. In one comment he demonstrated how ALL of the other talking that was going on was essentially meaningless. Dr Paul does not need to jump up and down and flap his arms to get his point across, nor would I want him to. We are not children; we do not need to behave like children.
Dr Paul has not been "paid" through your contributions to 'deliver you the Presidency'. You need to 'deliver it' to him.
If all you've done today is watch the debate, watchdog the biased media, and complain to Ron Paul supporters about the media, you are wasting your time. If you allow yourself to 'run out the clock' whining and sniveling, essentially about why you don't own your own News station, then you are 'not' contributing anything useful. If you allow the media to occupy your mind and your time, how are you different than those you would save from such a fate? If you were on your neighbor’s doorstep they may not have even watched the debate.
If you go around flapping your arms about the media then you are also not supporting Ron Paul for President. You are railing against corporate media. Save it for when we are 'dealing' with the media. You must use your time more wisely. Do something positive, TODAY, and share it.
