I was forbidden to leave my house with my furniture without permission

I was forbidden to leave my house with my furniture without permission.
I live in a condo (called Housing Leasing Program) in Brazil. It was built by the Federal Government bank, known as Caixa (Not proud of it!!), and today I had arranged with a friend of mine who has a truck to take away some of my furniture that I wouldn't need anymore.
I was not allowed.
They said I needed a permission from the bank to do so.
I had to send the guy back with his truck..
I'm spitting fire !!!

And this is happening in times of "peace", now imagine when there's a crisis looming, or riots in the streets. What power will they assume?

This is merely an example of how much freedom is lost if you allow your govt to become an uncontrollable beast.

I was just gonna give it

I was just gonna give it away..
I'm not moving, just replaced some old stuff..
I did it today, with permission (not proud of it)
Now just listen to this: I had to disclose item by item and they asked me the purpose of that.

The argument they gave me is that someone could be stealing the furniture. Really?? With ME (the owner) saying I wanted to take that out of the condo???? Ridiculous...(Big govt "protecting" me.. sure..)

Now I'm gonna sue the bank for invasion of privacy, and humiliation, and for infringing my CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to freely move across the country with MY belongings. It is in our CONSTITUTION, believe it or not..

Brasil is out of control

At one time I was going to move there (I have family there) But now I am not, lots of relatives are moving here because they feel safer here and they don't want to be crucified for standing up.. And the criminal Lula saw to it that you can't arm yourself (how do you like electronic voting now?)

If you have options to leave, I never thought I would say this because believe it or not you have more freedom there than here, leave! But it just is not safe there and the politicians are worse than here.

I have friends and family there that are very successful business people and they are closing up shop. Your commie politicians have bribed the ignorant masses with welfare money and nobody can find good workers.

Were you disposing of the

Were you disposing of the unwanted furniture? If so, throw it out on the lawn in a big pile. Put a sign next to it which states: "I will move this pile of trash furniture to the dump upon the bank's approval, because I am forced to get their permission. Please call the bank if you have any questions."

Still lost as to why you didn't take your property

Some guy told you no so you fell in line? Is it not your property?

Yeah it is my property, but

Yeah it is my property,
but the guy controlling the only entrance/exit gate wouldn't open it for the truck without the f****ng permit..
and he has a gun, I don't.

Living in Brazil

Sounds complicating.

Anyways, I just heard Brazil just signed a new "internet constitution" complete with net neutrality, ban on metadata collection and major internet entities that have to comply. Cool eh!

Can you throw away garbage without permission?

Then take the furniture apart and let the guy take a piece everyday - or then have friends come at different times to take a piece away to give to that person - until he has all the pieces he can then reassemble.

Do you also need permission to bring furniture into your apartment?

Does your lease agreeent say that all your worldly goods that you bring into 'their' apartment belongs to the bank?

Thanks for revealing and exposing the craziness that exists in Brazil.

it's just one solution

If he wants to go after the banksters on his own or organize his apartment complex to go after them, great. But if he just wants to clear out a few pieces of furniture...
It sounds weird to me anyway because what happens when people move out? Or does no one ever leave that prison?
Not enough details in his post and too many unanswered questions.

Move it anyway

If I were you, I would move it anyway. They would have to employ force to get me to comply (if then) - especially if I was simply moving my furniture.

Call the fellow back and move it. I bet nothing comes of it. They're full of shit. If not, make a stink and protest like hell.

If you decide to not comply, let us know what happens. For what it's worth, I'm willing to stand with you.

Wow, that is horrible
