This Is Sick: Democrat Senator Forced To Resign, Facing Jail Over What Police Found On His Computer

Not only did officials determine he was involved in a conspiracy to trade hundreds of videos and images of child pornography; he admitted to raping a six-year-old girl in one online chat and expressed his twisted predilection during a number of other conversations.

“12 is about as old as i [sic] can handle,” he wrote in one exchange. “i love them at 6 7 8 [sic].”

The normal procedure in Illinois would be to elect him governor before he served his felony prison sentence.

Well connected child rapists get a free pass

Recently a member of the DuPont family (of DuPont chemicals fame) was found guilty of child rape but the judge said that he "wouldn't fare well in prison" so the guy WALKED.

Before that we had a rich drunken driver kill some people but the defense was "AFFLUENZA", a disease which the court determined rendered the criminal innocent by way of not understanding that poor people are people too.

THE ONLY WAY this guy does any time or suffer any consequence is if his higher ups felt like he needed to be made an example of. So here's their example. The guy is free on OR. Own regonizance.

I smell a set up. Sure, I'd

I smell a set up. Sure, I'd like to see a statist get punished but I'd like to see him get punished for something he did. The "Child Porn" on the computer set up is getting to be the new "commie hunt". Maybe it's true, but I'd give it at least a 50-50 chance of being a set up (why I don't know - maybe he pissed off someone very poweful)

Beware the cult of "government"...

If he's guilty

Well, we country boys have ways of dealing with those who hurt children.

Former Illinois state representative charged with possessing child pornography

CHICAGO — A former Illinois state representative was charged Monday with possessing child pornography.

These charges resulted from an investigation being conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Keith Farnham, 66, of Elgin, Ill., allegedly possessed two videos depicting child pornography on a computer that was seized from his state office in Elgin in March. He was charged April 28 in a criminal complaint filed in the Northern District of Illinois...

and like all political criminals:

Farnham was not arrested, and no date has been set yet for him to appear voluntarily for an initial appearance in federal court.

How many of us wouldn't be arrested and allowed to appear before the court voluntarily?

Possible It's A Setup

Child porn on a politician's computer just seems "too perfect". It's an automatic career destroyer. It's possible he p_ssed off the wrong people and they set him up. Of course, it's certainly possible (and I'm not being sarcastic) that he's guilty as charged. I'm just saying that we take a step back and evaluate for ourselves anything that comes out of the mainstream. Would you really be surprised if the NSA had the ability to plant something on someone's computer?

Again, I'm absolutely not saying he's innocent. Just saying that we need to "learn our lesson" and not accept stuff at face value.

I couldn't agree more with your take....

Here's the founder of "We are Change" Luke Rudkowski sharing his experience with a close call set up attempt on his computer. This politician may be guilty, but more evidence is needed to make a clear call on guilt.

I didn't see this on MSNBC

Musta notta happened. :)

Fear not what you can see, but only what you can feel.

The time of death will come for those who lost a feel for God and in death they will only feel God as they can no longer relate to a self, this is when God touches them like they have touched others.

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

Not sure

how much his political affiliation plays into this. I would dare to bet that most priests are conservative.

He'll be raped like a 6 year old, don't you worry.

Rape in prison...

...is NOT OK, and making light of that situation doesn't put things into perspective. By all means this guy should be locked up and his mental issues dealt with, but he shouldn't have to be subject to the physical and mental torture by condoning (aka allowing) physical, sexual assault.

The prison system is out of control, we need to defend everyone's liberties, even the criminals.

Pretty sure the title

Pretty sure the title included his party affiliation because MSM only includes party affiliation when the offender is a republican. That's my guess.

By the way, can you elaborate on your opinion that priests are conservative? Funny because the Catholic church has lots of very liberal views when you don't focus on abortion and gay marriage. Also, how did priests become part of this conversation?

DHS is keeping us safe from perverts now?

An investigation reportedly began into Farnham’s online activity when the Department of Homeland Security received a tip that a specific email account was being used to exchange child pornography.

Can somebody explain how or why DHS is involved here? I have children and don't like perverts, but what are they doing... ? Was the Senator a terrorist?

Double negative

He always lies because he's a politician, and everyone lies in internet chats, so do they cacncel each other out so we assume he actually did what he said he did?

Honestly, sounds like he's in deep poop, but I do think it's a bit presumptuous to assume that he actually did something he talked about in an internet chat. If I talked about the giant fish I caught, that doesn't mean I should get in trouble for not having a fishing license.

(not justifying anything that he did, even having that conversation is pretty vile. Just pointing out that people seem to be assuming a bit more than is reasonable)
