In this exclusive interview with Infowars, former congressman and presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul talks about the failure of and alternatives to public education, how politicians want an obedient population dependent on the government, the continuing rise of alternative media, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s statement calling supporters of Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy “domestic terrorists” and the expansion of government power at the expense of individual rights.

To counter the federal government’s takeover of public education through Common Core, Dr. Paul has introduced the Ron Paul Homeschooling Curriculum for students from kindergarten to 12th grade which features courses that are self-taught through daily lecture videos.

Do it

Even if the laws in your state aren't fluffy and nice for homeschooling, do it. We can't defend rights that we don't use.

RPC Rocks

My twelve-year-old son is taking Ron Paul Curriculum courses. He especially loves the science, which focuses on survival skills. And, I offer half-price copyediting on essays to RPC students. My son also does history through Tom Wood's Liberty Classroom.

My oldest wants to do this.

My oldest wants to do this. He likes the idea of a year-long course on the Constitution as well. I think the state laws here in AZ are pretty good for homeschooling so I'm considering this route.

The solution to Common Core?

The Ron Paul Curriculum --take your kiddies out of govt school en masse

Common Core is, at it's core, uncommon

Common Core State Standards will only work nationwide on two subjects (math and reading) while other standards stay diverse. This itself will cause the pillar of CCSS to collapse upon itself and put our economy and education further down the drain. Some state standards will even have to be lowered in the previously mentioned areas in order to comply with CCSS. It is a complete mess and I am glad that South Carolina is fighting it, as should every state be fighting it.

SC Senate Votes To Stop Common Core

The state's public school curriculum fueled by Common Core standards could be a thing of the past. This week the South Carolina Senate unanimously approved a bill that will wipe out the guidelines by the 2015-2016 school year.

At least a bit of good news...

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

Government Is The Problem Not The Answer

KD: And Dr. Paul, do you feel that politicians can use Common Core in order to prey on the ignorance of the public, as we see that Common Core is, in a way, dumbing down the population?

RP: Yeah, I think that’s a good description of just about everything the government does, whether its education, whether its to keep people from falling through the cracks or whether its medical care. With everything they do they are “all wise” and they “will take care of us” and “people are stupid and they don’t care and they are not responsible and that’s why you have to have government to take care of everybody and protect them from themselves” and in this case the government argues that we have to do this [Common Core] to protect the children against the parents because the parents are irresponsible.
