People need to shut up

I can't understand half of what's going on, mostly due to the one bigger chick with the sign in walking around in the middle of it all. I wish someone would've shut her up although she wasn't the only one (just the loudest). How can you expect to be taken seriously if so many people you may consider to be supporters won't shut up while you're talking? I definitely applaud the effort though and hope justice is served.

The bigger chick...

...was claiming to be "pro-APD" although nothing she was saying made much coherent sense.

That should also be done at the legislators office.

let's change the second amendment

if you are a government actor only the sherrif's office gets to possess firearms, all other government actors shall waive their right to bear arms while acting as government.

if you want to join an army, go on call of duty like every other thirteen year old or grow up and read the constitution.

What are all these fraternal fatties doing immunizing themselves from damage they cause so that they can wear the law like gloves and feel the force of tyranny in their victims faces.

Just a bunch of thumbs in their pockets; B actors going nuts for doughnuts so they can one day make it live on COPS.

Albuquerque NM city council takeover-- some thoughts...

I have no idea how this is going to turn out, but the victims of police murder and brutality certainly have my most heartfelt support and I share their outrage.

To think that those who society relies upon for its protection turns against it in a homicidal, brutal and cancerous way is proof positive that something like this action is not only warranted, but long overdue!

Hopefully, the police officials, and any City Council officials who worked with them or aided and abetted cover up, perjury, or obstruction of justice, face a fair trial, and upon conviction by a jury of their peers, face the appropriate penalties to the fullest extent of the law, like any other citizen!

No "sovereign immunity" or "executive privilege" here!

Families of Victims of Police Violence Lead Takeover of Albuquerque City Council: Three Documents

Last night’s historic takeover of the Albuquerque City Council in three documents. First: a statement released to the press after the “people’s assembly.” Second: the arrest warrant served on Albuquerque Police Chief Gorden Eden at the City Council Meeting. Third: the statement that David Correia read from the podium at the council meeting in which he served an arrest warrant on police chief Gorden Eden and then declared the meeting was now the people’s meeting. Communities all over the U.S. should begin

adopting "Police Free Zones", which should mean police are not allowed to enter their community wearing weapons of any kind nor would they have any patrolling and law enforcing rights, and any authoritative behavior by police should be met by community patriots with weapons escorting police to community exit.
It's time we considered firing police forces from our cities. This will also encourage people to buy guns for protection which is good also.

wow that could actually work given only the sheriff has const

itutional authority and all city police are just executive power privileges. That sounds like a great law! ONLY THE SHERIFF GETS THE GUNS!

I applaude you rayzer and the citizens

of Albuquerque for taking a stand. While I am not a fan of shouting or chanting, I understand passion. I did a little digging to get some background on what has been happening in Albuquerque. Since 2010, 22 people have been killed by the police. The police started a task force. This year in Jan., they called for a citizen's oversight group. In Nov. 2012, there was a request to the DOJ for a civil rights investigation. While the city council sat on their butts, there was a recent killing of a man for illegally camping. The people's warrant for the police chiefs arrest was priceless.

Recall Elections and Citizens Grand Jury...

... to bring up criminal charges. Resignations and firings, even in the unlikely event that they would take place, are not enough in these cases.

In the works...

Both in the works. The latter, spearheaded by me.

You mean a bunch LEFTISTS showed us up?

Classic leftist disruption except for that added twist of indictment and threat of arrest. I've never seen leftists do that before and I've worked with them for years.

They haven't changed tactics one iota for 30 years. So by the end they end up shouting their useless chants:

1. No justice no peace. Until everybody goes home and resumes a life under injustice.

2. The people united will never be defeated. Except pretty much all the time.

And if there was an arrest of a protestor,

3. LET HIM GO! Which in all my years of street action I have never once seen them let go.

However this represents a change. And it's stepping up their game. And dare I saw this action might just have been influenced by our end of the spectrum?

When we infiltrated OWS we did so in NUMBERS. I was part of a cadre of 10 infiltrators and there were other cadres. We had coverts and overts. And we embedded the liberty message into a new generation. The effect was indellible and I wonder if we're seeing a symptom here. And I wonder what the follow up is gonna be.

Historically the left uses direct action to secure media attention. That's it. Quite often organizers of such actions are ignorant even of this and simple disruption is their goal. And we saw how quickly OWS devolved into a circus with a list of demands so ludicrous I still laugh about it. But consider this: the largest gatherings of the R3VOLUTION! were about 10-15,000. Leftists have marshaled HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS in single actions. OWS itself was unlike anything that preceeded it just by sheer numbers and they did mobilize the youth. And they dominated the headlines. "We are the 99%" reached all the way down and all the way up and now it's part of popular taxominy.

Get ya thinkin?

Be brave, be brave, the Myan pilot needs no aeroplane.

Smudge, as we discussed privately. While some of the self-appointed leaders of this action might tend to consider themselves "left", there really is no talk of politics among this groups. The consensus is "power to the people", and that is what matters.

There are plenty of people who self-identify as "right" who are working on plans to form Citizens Grand Juries, as well as seceded from the existing corporate government(s).

i hope this is the start of a trend!

Official Daily Paul BTC address: 16oZXSGAcDrSbZeBnSu84w5UWwbLtZsBms

Protesters disrupted the meeting

So the City Council adjourned early, having accomplished nothing, including consideration of charter amendments dealing with the police department. That's the story from the City Council, anyway. Source. Does anyone know if this "take over" actually accomplished anything?

It accomplished setting an example that when a government of the people, for the people, by the people continues to ignore the people, we will just take it back. It's not hard. It was quite fun, actually.

I am sure everyone can learn from this kind of action. People can learn how easy and fun it is to take a stand, and elected officials can learn that it's worth the effort to just be "one of the people" sometimes, instead of sitting up in your high place looking down upon us.

Maybe it did, maybe it didn't

But where do you get that the government is of the people, by the people, and for the people.

You have confused civics with rhetoric. You won't succeed as long as you misunderstand government and your relationship to it.
