Property Rights and Property Taxes—and Countries That Don’t Have Them

"Do you really own something that you are forced to perpetually make payments on and which can be seized from you if you don’t pay?

I would say that you don’t.

You would possess such an item, but you wouldn’t own it—an important distinction"

Belize.... NO INCOME TAX, VERY VERY VERY LOW PROPERTY TAX. And if you don't pay your property tax they won't confiscate your property.
I am looking into this nation. GREAT DIVING!....

Before moving to Belize

look into John MacAfee and how they tried to shake him down, burned his houses and tried to frame him.

I would be curious to know...

what percentage of homes are taken back by the county due to unpaid taxes because of an untimely death of an owner and thus the kids (unaware that taxes are overdue) losing out on their rightfully deserve inheritance?

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they attack you, then you win!"

"The belief is worthless if the fear of social and physical punishment overrides the belief."

I'm a Texas attorney, who grew up in the Property Tax Collection industry. I would say it's very low. Most people who have mortgages and bank will normally step in if there is a problem (CYA). Texas does allow for the older folks to defer their taxes and sometimes parent don't let their kids know they have deffered the taxes. A lot of the problem I have seen are siblings inheriting a property and not being able to agree who pays or be unwilling to pony up the other sibling's unpaid share. I am so glad to be out of the business.

the same list of places with no property taxes

are also free from the banker/debt slave relationship all other nations (Who are really bankrupt corporations pretending to be nations)
