God is to man as man is to dog.

God is the Master. There is only One Master, who has always been, and will always and forever be.

The Master.

That's a pretty meek God

The analogy doesn't work for my God.

Besides, a dog can easily kill a man.

Well, not the little ones... but they could yap your ear drums to death.

But I know what you were meaning... just razzing you ;-P

pfffffff

My God can kick your God's ass.

thanks for letting me know

I'll keep that in mind when replying to your comments :)

I disagree, the separation

I disagree, the separation between God and man is infinitely greater than the separation between man and dog.

...hmmm.... god, man, dog...

...er... man didn't create dog.
Are you implying an order of ruling over?

Did man not create the poodle,

the beagle, and the pit bull..?

...the clamato? :D

hmmm... man playing with dog genes...

I'll have to say, man focused his attention on dog mutations, but man did not create dog.

Well...

....man's presence helped create the dog. Then man manipulated the dog to become all of these other shapes and sizes and colors we have today.

Dogs can't spell ...yet! :D ...[but we're working on it]

What defines dog?
What defines poodle?
Is the poodle not a dog?
Did man not create the poodle through eons of intentional breeding?
How about the various forms of delightfully edible cabbage?
Were all things [like man] created from something else?
Does God create things from our hands?
Are man's hands not the hands of God?

God created opium.
Man created heroin.

God created iron ore.
Man created steel.

The "dog" the OP refers to is clearly the domestic dog.

you just made my girlfriend squeal with delight

I owe you one :)

Thanks for the insight. I was just wondering about that. :)

Relax, God's in charge! :D

I've always had a problem

I've always had a problem with people trying to personify God, the old guy in the clouds with a grey beard. You seem to really have captured that personification, even comparing him to "man". It just seems so elementary for the topic (God) being discussed.

the Bible states

man was made in God's image. It is great to speak about God TJV, speak Him to all my brother.

Are you saying you think God

Are you saying you think God looks like a human being/primate?

tasmlab's picture

Were we not made in His image?

I thought that was scripture.

By we do you mean Shaq, Kim

By we do you mean Shaq, Kim Jon Un, or CarrotTop? To an alien they might look like entirely different species.

Do you take ALL of the old testament literally? Personally, I don't, I think some of it is parables and metaphors to help people understand. To me, that piece of scripture means the light or love that each human possesses within, is made in the image of God's love/light.

Jesus is God

and he had all those things.

God incarnate*, meaning God

God incarnate*, meaning God in human form, meaning God can take many other infinite forms.

That image does not refer to head, arms, legs, hands, feet,

just so you know.

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

So...

are ET/EBE's a better/smarter pet to God?

We seem to be having daily cock-fights with each other while we see these weird lights zipping over our heads.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Is there something wrong with me?

How come I don't know what "ET/EBE'" means?

We seem to be having daily cock-fights with each other while we see these weird lights zipping over our heads.

What does this mean?

Divided we fall. But it is because there is no compelling direction for enough people to follow.

Ron Paul had the power to unite.

He was a magician of sorts.

The Diamond Dog is a real cool cat. | Reporting on the world from an altitude of 420.

It was an observation

in regards to how God views and, possibly, favors his "different" children.

Obviously, anyone who is religious would say, "God loves all of his children equally."

Then I ask where was God during times like the Holocaust.

And chaos insues.

There is only one master....

...and his name is Bruce Leeroy!

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

Who is Bruce Leeroy!

I guess I'm missing the joke.

It from Berry Gordy's "The Last Dragon"

Its a cheesy 80's kung fu movie.

Free market capitalism isn't right for America because it works better. It's right because it's free (and it works better).

I always thought the villian in that movie

was Busta Rhymes.

And then Busta Rhymes paradied it in a music video and I was confused again.

If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

Sho'nuff

I always thought that too.

well I am one libertarian who is a Bible leaning human

us dailypaulers have a goal, for liberty, which is God's plan. God is most likely a libertarian, if not He would not have given us a choice for how to live, He would have squashed us already, there would be no reason for choice. Satan had a choice, God did not squash him, He gave him free choice. My stance on the whole libertarian movement is that we will open the can of worms, all will be exposed, the Bible states, well who will expose it, if not for us. We strive for earthly liberty, but we all may be working for Godly liberty, and exposing all untruths, cherish that and accept either outcome. God bless.

That's funny...

I thought that God had a habit of slaughtering every man, woman and child in a city if they didn't live the way He wanted them to.

Did I say 'city'? I meant literally every man, woman and child on the planet, except for one family.
