A fully naked woman

If you clicked and you are honest, then you have to +1. Don't worry, there will be a naked woman shortly.

You see what I did there? How easy is it to manipulate the masses? It's all in the numbers. Proper headlining is the KING of propaganda.

How easily we can be led by a misleading headline. Let's put the naked woman on the back seat for now and get back to her later.

Let's look behind some headlines over the past few days:

1. "How Lindsey Graham successfully beat off Tea Party challengers"
"Lindsey Graham pushes hard against abortion"

Lindsey Graham has operatives pushing pro-Graham stories in the MSM that will make him look good to right wing voters, and promote him as the inevitable winner. You and I see through it, but it's all in the numbers.

Just a couple more headlines and then I'll expose the naked woman.

2. "Syrian Rebels destroy hotel in Aleppo"

If American dissidents blew up a hotel in NYC, the last thing the media would call them would be rebels. To the casual reader, the headline has defined the conflict prior to even reading the article.

3. "Poll: Opposition to tea party rises"
"Taking on a die-hard tea partier" (Justin Amash)

Here there is push to describe the Tea Party movement as flagging, losing momentum, as a few last men going down with the ship. Opposition to the Tea Party is fomented by MSNBC and HUFFPO, just as the Occupy Movement was attacked relentlessly by Fox News. Notice how they only go after the movements which threaten the two party system power structure? This will increasingly occur to our own movement as well.

Getting back to the naked woman. There is no naked woman. You see what I did there? How you were manipulated into reading the entire article? Now, WHY is there not a naked woman?

New headline: "Rick Santorum pushes to ban pornography"
Santorum wants to take away that naked woman. All women.

So now you feel misled, frustrated, lied to, and manipulated. But it's Rick Santorum's fault.

People in an emotional state are more open to suggestion.

See what I did there? You've been manipulated into an emotional state.

Propaganda is a numbers game, and you're a number.

Lesson complete. For female participants, please insert fantasy object of your choice over naked woman.

So you are really saying that

LindseyG and RickS attended a free party at a hotel where they were caught spicing it up with a naked woman. Know the code people!

Knowing your style and content, you didn't catch me, JB

I didn't read this until it made front page, and then knew where it was likely going based on that. Not afraid of a naked woman, per se; just knew it this was a hook clothed in cotton-candy.

Nice propaganda reversal, sir; mirroring the media's manipulation of emotions and lusts.

Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have the exact measure of the injustice and wrong which will be imposed on them. - Frederick Douglass

I had to read this a few times

To really get your point. Well done.

What I think you're saying is:

"I'm Ron Paul." - Ron Paul

Well done!

I remember seeing something like this a few years ago when I first got here!

Were you serious about the five suggestive things? I'm stumped!

I am a proud libertarian Muslim.

Here are some awesome Islamic Libertarian links:

It was a ploy to manipulate you to re-read the article

The comment was 'planted' to continue to manipulate the viewer.

Well done Sir.

Serious tip of the hat!

People need to be aware of subtleties in communication.

Also, since we're (a very broad "we're") fighting a battle of information, it would be good and well for DPers to put these techniques to use.

Beware the boy who cried wolf...

**To preface, make sure you read my entire reply for the surprise at the end!**

Anyway, to get back on track...maybe everyone here should just write manipulative, bogus headlines that will lead us nowhere, like yours has. That way, everywhere we go here at the Daily Paul will eventually be fictitious or worse...and anything we deem as truth, really won't be indeed...and after a while, we will all just give up clicking on any headlines here at all...until eventually, we won't come here at anymore!

Besides, one here may click on your cute little headline, but that doesn't automatically preclude that they necessarily believed what it was intended to inform us about, based on the subject of the headline. For example, I clicked on your headline knowing full well that there wasn't going to be a naked woman's picture featured ;). I think most smart folks here already assumed that too. Instead, I was more interested in learning the true intention of your post, which turned out to be and obviously waste of time. And even after we bit, you still went on about the naked woman, as if you mistakenly thought we actually came here to see a titillating pic. That is not only narrow and overly assumptive, it's also an insult to our individual and collective intellects here.

Your exercise was nothing more than a condescending and gimmicky attempt to point out the obvious issue of manipulation that most of us here at the Daily Paul are already very well aware of. It proved nothing to me other than you are really good at getting people here to waste their productive time, while you violate their trust in the process! Your on the wrong side...LOL!

Oh, and just to set the record straight, For those here who really did expect to see a naked woman in the flesh, here are two...and you will not be disappointed! just lay back and enjoy the show boys!

On a deeper level, isn't it interesting how Picasso started out drawing his naked women in a somewhat anatomically correct likeness, only to have them transform from this reality to abstraction? That reminds me exactly of what your original post ended up doing to the pure intent of the content found here at the Daily Paul...taking it's reality and twisting it into something dishonest and abstract. Oh, and isn't it interesting how the clip of the naked women actually fits so well with what the pure intent of your post should have represented, if it honestly matched your headline? I love irony...........

"Liberty tastes sweetest to those who fight for it, and most bitter to those who work to deny it!"

My point was to provide an interactive hands-on demonstration

Rather than just mere discourse.

Expounding exhaustively on a subject directly does not always have the same lightbulb-over-the-head effect as a joint practical experiment.

Propaganda is like Picasso with the abstract replaced by agenda, twisted logic, a forcing of false reasoning and house-of-cards assumptions. Your digression is apt.

I agree my format is rather dishonest, but my only intent is to promote a greater understanding of the intentions of others where there is malicious and evil intent.

Direct participation brings subjects to life.

"You see what I did there?"

Yea, you lied.

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.
Friedrich Nietzsche

As a demonstration of the psychology of propaganda

Guilty as charged.

As a female, I was curious about where you were coming from

...and kept reading because I dig the points you made. No disappointment here ;)

The only way Lyndsey Grahm wins is election fraud. Just like Harry Reid stole his reelection.

I didn't get my cheap thrill :-(

...the Daily Paul is where I always go to get porn. Dude was good with the title. Something I'd never seen.

Very well done sir!

If people thought subliminal advertising or messages were about putting popcorn frames in movies they are mistaken. There are the four "F"s of subliminal messages. "Fight", "Flight", "Feeding" and "Fuc.. Fornication".

There are ways to get your attention weather you like it or not.

"Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito."

The nightly news reports...

The nightly news reports in this way every day to further the agenda of the ones pulling the strings. They also openly admit that their reports are censored. If you watch TV news you are being brainwashed, in fact most shows are pushing agendas as well. Who will be the next villain our favorite lettered agency show (foreign or home grown). Or take a look at the Scifi Continuum series.

Please use your special talent for manipulation to further the cause of liberty. Our networks have fallen to the dark side.

The Agenda Is Distraction

“In regard to propaganda the early advocates of universal literacy and a free press envisaged only two possibilities: the propaganda might be true, or it might be false. They did not foresee what in fact has happened, above all in our Western capitalist democracies — the development of a vast mass communications industry, concerned in the main neither with the true nor the false, but with the unreal, the more or less totally irrelevant. In a word, they failed to take into account man’s almost infinite appetite for distractions.”

-- Aldous Huxley (in Preface to A Brave New World)

Fun post!

It reminded me of an old idea I shared here.

How do we take control of the headlines???

I will not look

It is probably Lindsey Graham naked. That would make me vomit on my PC.

Money talks and dogs bark

The mental image you created

Is the most vile, corrupt, disgusting thing I have ever read on the dailypaul or anywhere, ever.

I will send you the bill for my therapy.

"I'm Ron Paul." - Ron Paul

Not as bad

as, "Lindsey Graham successfully beat off Tea Party challengers"

VR, Usually your head is in the clouds

Chemtrail clouds that is, and yet here, it is in the gutter.

"I'm Ron Paul." - Ron Paul

Sounds like

Get a new hobby

I knew it was a ploy so I didn't click the link

but when I scrolled down the front page...there it was. At that point I knew it was meant to be so I decided to peek. Damn, no naked woman! How rude.

An excellent opening to an excellent lesson that we should take the time to explore in full.

Naked Woman Poster Exposes

With Proper Gander

Saucy goose aside

"I'm Ron Paul." - Ron Paul

Ha! I didn't read the whole article.

I scanned down to where you got back to the naked woman. So, really, I have no idea what point you were trying to make :)
