Bill Bennett

One of the best of the best political teams on tv. Pooey! Bill Bennett was a democrat. Switched to a republican. Conservative? Only on education. The rest. Hmmm.
1.Bennett is a staunch supporter of the War on Drugs and has been criticized for his views on the issue. On a television show, he said that a viewer's suggestion of beheading drug dealers would be "morally plausible."
2.Bennett is a member of the Project for the New American Century (PNAC) and was one of the signers of the January 26, 1998 PNAC Letter[4] sent to President Bill Clinton urging Clinton to remove Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein from power.

Is loaded with talk for McCain. McCain we know is from the liberal base of the republican party. If Bennett is a true conservative..What the heck would he be backing McCain for? He is a biased, pompus, ASS. Bennett needs to know that we are on to him. He skates by analyzing the election in a biased tone. He is not conservative. He is not a true Republican. These are the democrats that came over when Reagan had the landslide. They took root and instilled in the Replblican party the Neocon points of view.
Let Billie know that he's not conservative.

Bennett and Romney both Mormons

may not like each other.

Bennett is a fraud as a conservative and a fraud as an academic

I can't find the link as it was from years ago, but Tom Fleming (classicist, editor Chronicles Magazine and one of the smartest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing) wrote a great expose on Bill Bennett.

Bennett and his neocon supporters (Kristol and Podhoretz) railroaded the eminent constitutional historian M.E. Bradford from heading the NEH in favor of then Democrat Bennett. Bennett had scant academic credentials having gotten a PhD on the merits of his 64 page thesis that "wouldn't have qualified as an undergraduate honors thesis at most schools." It apparently was pushed through by his leftist academic advisor. As NEH head he allocated millions of taxpayer dollars to leftist, marxist and neocon projects against the advise of NEH consultants like Fleming. He later went on to heading the Dept of Ed and doing nothing positive and then of course made so much progress as drug czar (add sarcasm here). He then went on to great fortune with his books, most all of which were ghostrwritten by his frequent speech writer. And of course this isn't even including his blowing untold millions of his fortune with his gambling addiction. Don't get me wrong; what he does with his money is his own business, but we're not talking about him saddling up to the Texas Hold'em table or playing high limit craps. He would spend his time in vegas alone up in a suite feeding his expense card into a high limit video poker machine. :Loser!

I wrote somewhere that he is a democrat, and then when Cooper called him a "Conservative scholar" I totally thought that I had lost my mind.

Glad to know I'm not the nutcase.

Wasn't he the democratic commentator on FOX back in the day?

This just goes to prove there is no difference between the 2 parties - I can't even tell them apart anymore.
