Global Warming

my Ass.

It was 38 yesterday morning, May 16th, in parts of the southern U.S. where it is usually 80 in the day, and 50+ at night this time of year.

I had to build a fire in the wood burner last night to keep the edge off the house.

It's Saturday May 17th today, and here I am mowing this morning in a sweater, with hoodie sweater over that, a hat, with thermal bottoms and gloves on, and still having to come in and warm up for a few minutes.

It's also forecast to be 42 Sunday night as well.

The tomatoes don't know whether to grow for the summer or die for the winter.

Next time I hear someone tell me "Global Warming" I think I'll crack this mid-May icicle off the tip of my running nose and beat them with it.

End Rant

Hey you people...

We've got this HUGE problem that affects the WHOLE WORLD, which means no single nation can solve it. That problem is that the temperature of the Earth is going up (or going down) and the ONLY WAY for you people to go on living is to give us members of the World Government a bunch of your money ---hell, just let us tax your carbon. WHO ELSE is gong to fix this temperature changing problem?
Oh yeah, we should probably keep all the nukes from now on just to be safe.

Ice age forecast...

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/sci/tech/56456.stm

"Climate changes such as global warming may be due to changes in the sun rather than to the release of greenhouse gases on Earth.

Climatologists and astronomers speaking at the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in Philadelphia say the present warming may be unusual - but a mini ice age could soon follow."

is global warming seriously being questioned?

We live in an age where such facts are EASILY verifiable. There's no reason to not already KNOW that Global Warming is happening, in the increased concentration of CO2.

Rather than denying it, we should position ourselfs with the government, and what should it do?

Global warming and

Global warming and atmospheric geological engineering are simply the results of past nuclear testing and the damage done to the upper atmosphere.

I predict

the weather will change.

To combat this scary event please send me all (or as much as you can) your money.

If you choose NOT to send me your money then you are causing weather related disasters and

you are probably a racist and hate gay people.

IPCC's predictions were overblown

There is an interesting chart of what the IPCC’s so called ‘scientists’ (better referred to as quasi-scientists) predicted since 1990 compared to actual measured data. Temperatures today are below those of all five of IPCC’s previous reports. IPCC’s data has been politicized to fit the fear mongering thus there has not been a credible scientific debate due to the faulty measuring methods and self-serving politicians meddling and pressuring IPCC. The entire GW discussion was tainted from the very beginning. The chickens are coming home to roost with the latest scrutiny on IPCC’s inaccurate predictions. Qualified people like Judith Curry (professor School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Georgia Institute of Technology) remain skeptical and unconvinced of the GW scare. More people of her caliber point to IPCC’s serious credibility problem and it’s about time we started to see some scrutiny of IPCC’s sham reporting.

What hits home to me is seeing San Diego’s back country being destroyed by green-energy companies that just get whatever they want hurting private landowners, people's health and wildlife. It’s unbridled socialized destruction.

I can tell you what I felt with my own two feet

Not sure what to say about the global warming fear mongerers, but I can say that the ocean IS moving in on us.

I have stayed for a weekend the last five years at a vacation beach house of a friend on the Carolina coast. She told me that as a child, two rows of houses used to separate her house from the ocean but now they are underwater. There is nothing that separates her family's house from the water except a gigantic dune and they have had to raise their house up on stilts.

She showed me in the water where the road in front of her house used to be and I felt the asphalt where the road used to be myself, with my own two feet.

This all just happened in the last 25 or so years.

Lake Michigan

Last year my 86 year old Aunt showed me the Lake Michigan shoreline, pointing out where the waters had receded by a large amount.... and showing me that the lake was now at a much lower level than it had been decades ago. Now I know where that water has gone.... flushed down the Mississippi to the Carolina coast.

Don't forget Lake Meade too

it is down to almost nothing.

I believe that all the crap

I believe that all the crap they are spraying in our sky's{that were not supposed to know about} to combat the so-called global warming will kill us and our planet much faster then global warming ever could.

It was an ignorant attempt from the start

Hanson's assumption was that the 'current' atmospheric CO2 increase was due to human activities otherwise his 3rd 'prediction' in his 1988 graph wouldn't have assumed ZERO CO2 increase after the year 2000. He actually believed he could get the world to stop doing everything we humans do that produces CO2 in just 12 years. What a nutjob. He crazily tried to predict everything and ended up predicting nothing.
The 'science is settled' mantra re global warming is best described by the Goebbels Warning, "If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.

Great Science

Real Science.com .Talk about past weather patterns. And how are government is always trying to scare us about something. Like when LBJ said the Viet Cong might come and attack America.

This is the year.

AL GORE said the Artic would be ice free this summer. I bet even Obama is spewing his mouth that the Eskimos are planting tomatoes
right now .Polar bears are shaving all there hair off. Sandals is building a new resort with palm trees. When they let liberal progressive liars like Gore Clinton, Obama spew there thoughts and ideas. Along with there paid shills the opposite will be true. They say evil is good. Wrong is right. Night is day. .America is doomed by liberal progressive thinking. My opinion.

Global Warming

I researched this whole issue a few months ago and shared with a friend by email. Here is my email.

Thanks for the reply Russ. I have ended up pretty much exactly where you are. I have read the Montford book as well. It's pretty clear that the methods used by Mann et al. produce hockey sticks in any random data. Also they work to minimize the last significant warming during the Medieval period.

The first book I think I read on the general subject was "Watermelons" by James Deilingpole. I had heard him interviewed by Lew Rockwell on a podcast. His book is more polemical and repetitive (I found) but it is still useful in trying to understand the underlying motivations of the Global Warming crowd. But I was looking for the smoking gun that man's impact is small to non-existent and did not find it.

I did find it in the following documentary, "The Great Global Warming Swindle".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtevF4B4RtQ

They make the point that the ice core data actually shows that CO2 follows warming, not vice-versa. Here is a recent Scientific American article that says a lot on and between the lines:

http://www.scientificamerican.com/article/ice-core-data-help...

So CO2 follows warming. That is the smoking gun as the AGW hypothesis is based on a false premise.

The documentary also provides evidence that the greenhouse gas trapping theory is not supportable from satellite and weather balloon readings of temperatures on the earth's surface and troposphere.

And another thing it mentions is that the percent of CO2 in the atmosphere is .04. It has increased from closer to .03 in recent decades/centuries but it has been as much as 10 times higher than current levels in the past. Most CO2 does not come from human activities (I don't have a breakdown handy but it is a small fraction of the total in the atmosphere). It's such a stretch to think that an already small amount of CO2 in the atmosphere (vis-a-vis say water vapor which is itself a GG) and the small amount that humans contribute to that already small amount can be having much of an effect. But this is almost unnecessary analysis if CO2 is not causing GW.

The conclusion from this film and other data I've looked at is that it is the Sun's activity that is causing temperature changes and that CO2 lags behind warming because the oceans absorb it in cool temperatures and release it under warm temps.

Here is another web-site I came across from an independent researcher that shows climate variables over a longer time frame:

http://climate.geologist-1011.net/

This shows that the level of CO2 has been over 10 times as high at times over the last 500 million years (the era of life on the planet).

As I mentioned in my email though maybe the most interesting thing about all this is what it says about human nature. Jay Snelson once said that humans will hold onto their paradigms more jealously than any other possession. They don't want their world views challenged or overturned. A belief in Global Warming comes deep convictions I think that are anti-growth, certainly anti-capitalism and maybe ultimately anti-human (see Delingpole and others on that).

it has to be right to them. What it also says is that there are very, very few scientists among us - if we define a scientist as someone who is searching dispassionately for the truth. Those not willing to reject their hypothesis outright once a contradictory observation has been evidenced are not scientists, no matter how many letters after their name. Those who do seek the truth are even though they have no academic credentials.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the links if you haven't yet come across them yourself.

PPS: We had some recent visitors from Canada who are all fully propagandized and on board. One couple had a daughter who is graduating with a degree in environmental studies. She constantly admonishes them about their carbon footprint etc. Just another sign-post that with all this evidence against, the whole thing just keeps going forward from university curricula to white house policy.

"Global warming" is probably

"Global warming" is probably a bad name to describe it because it implies warmth everywhere across the globe.

Warming is only one part of the process. Some areas of the Earth will get hotter and other areas will get colder due to disruption or slowdown of the Earth's heat transfer process (thermohaline circulation).

I'm not saying this is the reason why it is cold where you live today. Just pointing out that 'global warming' doesn't really mean it will get warmer everywhere.

...

Huh?

Global warming doesn't mean the globe will be warming???

Climate change is real, and will get worse

global warming is not.

All the planets in the solar system are experiencing climate change, and humans are responsible for none of it. It's sun driven. The evidence suggests we are on the verge of a mini-ice age.

We are (and should not be) polluting the air, and may kill ourselves off with it, but we are not hurting the earth. It will live long after humans are gone, no matter what takes us out.

CO2 is plant food. 400 ppm is hardly enough to hurt humans. Over 8000 ppm and it will displace enough oxygen to suffocate us, but we are a long way from that.

Just open the box and see

Caveman knew more

Than AL Gore. They knew when the sun was out it was warm. When the sun went down it got cold they went into there caves. Hence they were called caveman. Al Gore I will call Progreslibtardman One day they will make Geico insurance advertisements using him.
