America's Night of the Living Dead Moment Has Arrived

Ever get the feeling that you're being surrounded by human zombies?

I have always brushed that feeling off, as if to say, "Nah, never gonna' happen here, most people are good at heart."

I can't help but notice that something really isn't right in America tonight. I've always been the optimist, but after what has transpired in the last few days on a national and personal level, I can't dismiss the obvious trend that seems to be singing to me like the bird in my backyard on repeat, chirping the same message over and over again.

Zombie culture is cool now. Parents proudly display, "Zomby Family," decals on their vehicles. Dressing up like the Joker and his mistress is the in thing, take a selfie, murder some people, and have a Big Mac. Why not?

The, "law," no longer applies as the president has shown.

Whoever said, 'majority rules,' was a weak individual.

The majority sucks, literally and figuratively.

Is a majority of the public loco en la cabeza en los Estados Unidos?

Is America about to enter Hugo Chavezland? Yes, I know he's dead. That's kind of my point.

A supposedly, "dead," system of governance (call it what you want) is making an attempt at taking us over using the zombie public.

When watching, "Night of the Living Dead," I can't help but think of that movie as being a gigantic political metaphor.

How did the people defeat the walking dead zombies?

Guns played a large roll.

But then the people used their guns to kill a good guy at the end.

It was a double edged sword of an ending with a warning:

Fight the zombies, but don't act like them in doing so.

If I could speak for everyone here at the Daily Paul, WE DO NOT CONDONE VIOLENCE.

Anyone who does shot the good guy at the end.

Nice clip, LibBerte. Thanks.

Your Existence Gives Me Hope

Resistance to Civil Government:

“Thus the State never intentionally confronts a man’s sense, intellectual or moral, but only his body, his senses. It is not armed with superior wit or honesty, but with superior physical strength. I was not designed to be forced. I will breathe after my own fashion. Let us see who is the strongest.”
― Henry David Thoreau, On the Duty of Civil Disobedience

May intellectual and moral resistance to Their plan be our plan of disobedience:

Killed the good guy in the end?????

Are you talking about the original or the remake. If you are talking about the original then you are wrong. The "good guy", as you refer to him, got everyone killed and ended up surviving by doing what the "bad guy", the father, suggested from the beginning which was to hide in the basement. He deserved to be shot, the idiot.

From the moment you start differentiating living from "undead",

Are the undead (however you define them) something to be feared or something to have compassion for?

And, are they really any different?

Religions throughout time have told people "you are the chosen ones; the other tribes aren't even human."

Thus, giving the "chosen ones" the fortitude to murder. (Not the "right" to, it's never right.)

With our dividing the population into zombies and awakened ones, are we doing the same thing that divisive religions have done since, well, basically forever?

(And I realize that if we don't discriminate between food and poison, we die, so it's necessary to be able to identify risks, but are the "zombies" really that much of a risk? I think the better course would be one of education, which is what Dr. Paul portrays as well.)

I love you. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you.

Exactly.....

Great question. If I ever let the blind masses get to me and start pushing my buttons, I try really hard to realize that I was asleep once too. I feel sadness for the people who are lost,in this kind off public "hysteria". Hopefully they can free themselves, or God gets through to them eventually. The human ego is a VERY strange creature.

There's a Difference Between Violence...

...and Self Defense.
The LV Shooters were participants in MURDER, a senseless, depraved act of violence.
Aside from that, I do really identify with your observations of our society as it appears these days.
And urge you to hang in there, and also to recognize that self-defense is sometimes violent.
Easier to talk about...not so easy to do.
