While My Guitar Gently Weeps - 432hz (with more insights into)

Nice find, M! It was easy to hear subtleties in the vocals that I couldn't hear with the instruments included.

Speaking of hearing what isn't easily discerned, here's more 432hz vs. 440hz history you'll want to check into. L.C. Vincent, author of The 440 Enigma: The Musical Conspiracy to Separate Mankind from the Divine, did a fascinating interviewed just this morning on The Power Hour Show. Could The Nightly Jam be the most inadvertent, subversive tool of the Rockefellers on The Daily Paul?

I'm In Heaven When You Smile

Thanks PK. One of my children (raised on the Beatles :)) sent it to me. In some cases you wouldn't even think it was the same vocals to hear them purely in that way vs. with instrumentation. As to your post here, it's my day off and I've got to get outside and soak up some SUN while I can - esp. since it's 63 where I am, my favorite weather. (Everyone is complaining about our short summer this year. I'm in heaven.)

So thanks for that beautiful song. I did a comparison. Though a subtle difference, your version is so pleasant to listen to! And later I'll definitely be listening to the interviews. Thanks for that, too. By the way, are you familiar with Steiner? I ask because, by coincidence (hah!) I was *just* reading about the issue you raised - unrelated in this case to music (per se) but regarding our separation from the Divine.

Okay, because of something I said up there, I need to quickly post another song here - one I periodically post, but who's counting, eh? :)

Heaven is somewhere nearby

Thanks, M. Doing the musical math, the 440hz standard introduced subtle discord and limits to the scope of clarity, and depths of beauty, that the same music at 432hz naturally brings. When you get to learn more from the L.C. Vincent interview above, you'll be amazed at how we've been ripped off and stifled by the deliberate forcing of a corrupt standard that was coerced on unwilling musicians, world-wide, by evil, big-monied interests.

That doesn't mean we can't find some divine realities in what remains, just not even close to the range of what a 432hz standard allows.

I looked up Rudolf Steiner's wiki, but hadn't heard of him before. Interesting guy.

Heaven is in your mind

Thank you, Promisekept. This subject continues to intrigue me, but listening to the interview, I ended up with more questions than answers. I've been looking into things trying to understand. One, *why* it's believed 432 is a more organic tuning. (I thought the guy's explanation was rather weak.) Apparently (just what came up on wiki), there have been different frequencies over a wide range (from lower than 432 to higher than 440) that "A" has been tuned to. Well, I'll see what turns up, but it's looking like 432 is rather arbitrary to me! Two, is the change from 440 to 432 more than a) lowering the key slightly, and b) slowing the music down slightly? Three, is mechanically changing the frequency to 432 the same as live music using 432hz as the reference point? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concert_pitch

I personally prefer 432 vs. 440 in *every* case you've provided. But some guy did this experiment. Seems as if people are divided in their responses. http://acousticengineering.wordpress.com/2013/12/13/pitch-sh...
So why *do* I prefer 432? Maybe just because I'll always prefer a slightly slower version? (Easier to discern the lyrics and, in general, pick up nuances in vocals or instruments?) Maybe I'll always prefer a slightly deeper version? I always have the Bass/Treble knob turned to emphasize the bass. I'm crazy about the bass guitar - fyi, my instrument of choice while driving. :) (This is just the first song that came to mind with a memorable bass line. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EieHafkHbU ) In other words, maybe it's something to do with the frequency, maybe it's just something to do with me!

Anyway, I'm intrigued and plan to continue looking into this. Feel free to pass on any other info. Oh! Heaven...
