Sean Hannity gets mad at Rand Paul for not blaming Iraq crisis on Obama

Mofo Politics | JUNE 19TH, 2014

http://youtu.be/Z9qSrf7XPTg

In broad strokes…

Saddam Hussein brutally– but effectively– clamped down on sectarian violence and Islamic extremism in Iraq– and served as a counterweight to Iran’s regional ambitions. This delicate balance was thrown into chaos by the 2003 Iraq War.

That is a widely-accepted, bipartisan reading of events.

But renowned foreign policy expert, Professor Sean Hannity argues that it’s all Obama’s fault…

Hannity the Conservative?

Conservatives supposedly believe in less spending, more personal responsibility, and following the Constitution.

Hannity: More spending, provide soldiers for Iraq because Iraqis don't want the responsibility (welfare), and do it now while ignoring the Constitution.

Talking heads agenda: grooming Rand to be a lockstep neocon.

To their surprise, Rand just isn't cooperating with their plan. With all of the airtime they have given to him, they thought that he would.

Rand has drawn his line in the sand that he will not cross, presidential aspirations notwithstanding. Will Senator Paul continue to garner the same attention by these government-planted talkers with this fundamental foreign policy disagreement now apparent? Although future positive airtime will be a critical factor in getting into the WH, principles do matter.

Everyone keeps talking about

Everyone keeps talking about Iran being emboldened. Um, Iran NEVER invaded Iraq. It only defended itself when a US backed Iraq attacked it! So, if Iran enjoys a respite from a hostile neighbor, good for them. But where do people get off saying that Iran is "emboldened"? To do what? So far, Iran has yet to attack anyone, and has not, despite media misconceptions, called for anyone to get attacked, unless Iran is attacked first.

Hannity is a Tool

In every definition of the word.

To my Liberal Trolls:
"Really Don't mind if you sit this one out. Your words but a whisper, your deafness a shout. I may make you feel, but I can't make you think."
Ian Anderson 1972

Rand is nothing but a neocon

He said he didn't rule attack.

Shamnity and his friends at FAUX

have no choice but to keep spinning because they are all in on the invasion of Iraq.

Even the most hard core fans of FAUX have to be questioning these fools. Don't think the spin is working anymore.

We left too early? But didn't Dumbya tell us that we won? I seem to remember Dumbya having that celebration on the ship while Shamnity and his neocon friends gloated on how awesome we are (not).

Fact is, we haven't won a war since WWII, and truth is, that by the time we hit the beaches of Normandy, 70% of Hitler's army had been defeated....by the Ruskies. Won't find that in your history books.

I don't understand why people

I don't understand why people still buy brand Hannity or FOX sNews for that matter. This is what annoys me about people posting videos of Hannity agreeing on ONE point and thinking that he's an ok guy. He is now, and always has been a shill.

Time to boycott these villains into bankruptcy once and for all.

EFFING HANNITY. Did any of HIS family end up over there?

While his FAT ASS sits safely in a posh studio, he advocates sending more and more Americans over there to die or get maimed.

God how I hate these hypocrites.

Hahahaha

Was that

Mrs. Hannity talking.

This is where Rand's position

This is where Rand's position on the Senate Foreign Relations is critical, Rand knows all the in and outs and minute details of what exactly is going on in Iraq. Rand was extremely effective in this interview and has the public support behind him.

Thomas Jefferson 1796, 1800, 1804; James Madison 1808, 1812; Ron Paul 1988, 2008, 2012; Rand Paul 2016.

It must be good to be able to channel some Ron Paul

when it comes to Iraq since it will always be a bad hand when neocons to push to hard on it.

Mad?!? Yes, he is

10-15 million more voters need to believe in non-interventionism (liberty) at home and abroad to change America. Minds changed on Syria. Minds changing on privacy. "Printing money" is part of the dialogue. Win minds through focus, strategy.

Word

at the end of this excellent (and still, oh so timely) clip we see hannity not letting ron paul answer a question. ron looks like he's ready to abandon the NAP and haul off and smack him.

And just as they are going off air

Combs says: In first place Ron Paul!

The NAP is wise and good

It isn't always possible, though. Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.

Ron Paul "violated" the NAP when he put forward a bill in the Congress to target, arrest or violently murder any and all al-Qaeda and its supporters in retaliation for 9/11.

I never tire of seeing this

I remember watching it at the time, it's hard to believe it's been seven years. One thing is for sure, Ron Paul has been proven right again. Thank you for posting.

hannity with his

stuttering interruptions!!!

Wipe the MIC off your chin, Hannity the shill!!!!

Rand did a great job...

I agree with him completely on this. There was no problem in Iraq until we took out the dictator who was holding the country together. It is all Bush's fault (and Cheney's and the other bloodthirsty greedy madmen who were in his government). I do not want to see any more Americans in Iraq including those 300 "advisors" and I do not want air strikes that will kill more innocent people. Let them kill each other over until some new dictator comes along.

YOU NAILED it Puma For Life!

Great statement.

Oh Hannity....

... the ideologue... and Obama-hater... I think Rand did a great job.... much to the minnow's chagrin... Hannity and O'Reilly are like two peas in a pod... no intellectual rigor in their analysis...

Bush started the fire in Iraq... now Obama gets blamed for not putting it out... you have got to get back to the source of the problem: Bush/Cheney's desire to payback the oil and defense contractors... and kowtow to other special interests... it had nothing to do with the silly war on terror, WMDs,, etc. Hannity is too stupid and too keen to believe whatever the GOP establishment feeds him.

Plano TX

That was the most uncomfortable

I think I have seen Rand. He was not going to waiver, but he sure seemed nervous.

We give Rand alot of guff for not being the plain spoken libertarian that his dad was, but it has to be hard to go into those situations over and over again to try and make an impact without being alienated or painted as a kook.

I've asked myself why Fox would even entertain interviews with

those of libertarian stripe and it hit me after that interveiw - they simply wouldn't have an audience left. Their numbers are dwindling fast.
