Russia Puts Troops on Alert as U.S. Broadens Sanctions

Russia put more than 65,000 troops on combat alert and ordered them to take part in a drill a day after Ukraine called a week-long cease-fire to quell violence in the eastern part of the country.

The sanctions have not worked

The sanctions have not worked so all the more reason to try and provoke a major war. Putin is coming under more and more pressure to do something to help Russians in East Ukraine. Looks like our Nobel Peace Prize winner might just get the war he needs so badly.

Ukraine's Right

Ukraine's Right Sector-comprised National guard is now firing mortars onto Russia's border checkpoints and openly targeting escaping refugee's and Russian journalists...so this sounds like a pretty measured response.
