Sibel Edmonds On Snowden Story: "It's so fake and so obviously fake, I can't believe people are falling for it"

I highly encourage everyone to watch this. Start at 1 hr 5 min 57 sec. Watch until at 1 hr 16 mins 55 secs.

For what it's worth, I agree w/ Sibel. Btw, I'm not saying some good hasn't come out of the Snowden story but I'm just not buying this story.

A few points she made:
-This is a psyop to desensitize people to the spying.

-Snowden hasn't release any new info that previous whistle blowers (e.g. Russ Tice, Bill Binney) hadn't released.

-The media is so obviously compromised but they're covering this story? Seems fishy.

-Hollywood movie to be made about Snowden by same people who made Zero Dark Thirty (which the CIA had a hand in)

-This is the most successful psyop in CIA history, in her opinion.

Those are completely different circumstances.

Evo Morales' plane incident was 1 month after the first story, when Edward was in Sheremetyevo, and it was based on rumor. The Brian Williams interview was 1 year after the first story, with Edward in Russia under FSB protection and was obviously arranged by Edward and/or his helpers with full consent and involvement of FSB. Who did Brian Williams or NBC staff initially contact to arrange? I have no idea. Perhaps Edward's lawyer? Perhaps Wikileaks? Perhaps Glenn? Perhaps Edward himself? You also have no idea the FSB security procedures required for Brian Williams and his crew to successfully conduct that interview. It does make sense.

Why is it

Why is it that it's so easy for DPers to believe in internet people but refuse to believe one single thing that also has a following offline? Like this is a perfect example. Don't believe Greenwald or Snowden... no, believe this internet person named Sibel.

"this internet person named Sibel"

Sibel Edmonds is a CIA whistleblower. She's not just some "internet person".

One whistle blower against another...

Why believe this CIA whistle blower over Snowden? Because it's online and it makes people feel like they have special knowledge.

No it's based on a confluence of factors

They've been stated many times in my posts

I agree with you

Agenda 21, PNAC, CODEX ALIMENTARIUS and UN biodiversity study. Help me understand why I shouldn't think there is a big agenda against the wishes of the masses.

So the government stages this elaborate psyop that exposes what most already suspected or knew? Doubt it. To your points:

Americans are already desensitized to spying with their bread, circuses, i-distractions, and self-promoting social media.

Snowden has released a lot of new information regarding various programs and how they operate.

The media is covering the issue but in a very dishonest and superficial way. Instead of discussing the substance of Snowden's disclosures they are entirely focused on whether he is a hero or traitor.

Hollywood to produce movie about him (that is funded by CIA and likely portrays him as a traitor)? No surprise.

Snowden has released a lot of new information regarding various programs and how they operate.

And all the other N.S.A. whistleblowers before Edward who didn't produce docs to support their claims, all support Edward and say he did this the right way. All the N.S.A. whistleblowers that others at this site support as being legit: Thomas Drake, Russ Tice, Bill Binney, for example. They all support Edward.

Skeptics of Snowden would do well to read Glen Greenwald's "No Place to Hide." And as for the claim that Snowden (or more accurately Greenwald and other Snowden document handlers) has not released anything new not previously released by other whistle-blowers, blatently false.
Hollow DazeJune 23, 2014 at 4:27 PM

Unfortunately, in my opinion as a former account holder and commenter, the Daily Paul is now a den of cognitive infil-traitors, particularly of the anti-capitalist variety. Treat anything that comes from there as a potential pysop in and of itself.

I was just about to post that

allegory - ˈalɪg(ə)ri/ - noun - 1. a story, poem, or picture which can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one.

There seems to be a competitive attitude with whistleblowers.

After you have blown the whistle, you're day in the sun is limited. Then the next big whistleblower comes along.

Sibel is a whistleblower gatekeeper.

Sibel founded the NSWBC, she "vets" whistleblowers that come to her.

In the past year ...

... crickets from Greenwald.

Sure, he's given speeches. Yes, he's writing a book. OK, he is teaming up with someone who is known to have cooperated with the NSA in a business journalism partnership.

He's made promises of all these millions of documents, and oh-just-wait-and-see-what-bombshells-are-still-to-come.

But as for action, pfft.

The US government is spying, just like the Nazis, Stasi, and other tyrannical governments in history. OK, you guys confirmed that. But you say there is MUCH MORE to come.

If it is so damn incriminating ... if it is so damn important ... uhh ... where the f**k is it?

Sybel done stole my handle. WTF, y'all?

All I know is, Sybel done stole my handle. "FIGHT APATHY."

WTF, y'all?

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"

Snowden donated to Ron Paul.

Snowden donated to Ron Paul. I don't know much besides that, don't feel the need to speculate.

She makes some good points:

Thanks Kevin. What follows is my summary of her position along with my commentary, written in real time as I watch the segment you suggested and pause to write:

  • Sibel: "You can't have it both ways."

You can't say on the one hand that the MSM blacks out the truth, but on the other hand that when they cover Snowden this heavily, they're letting the truth slip through. The Snowden (non) revelations are part of a government / corporate agenda of some kind.

  • Sibel is willing to wager that Greenwald's 'Big Revelation' is basically a dud.

When is Greenwald's 'Big Revelation' coming? He is supposed to release the names of who the NSA targeted. Nothing will happen as a result. "Come on!" she says. "Merkel was spied on. What happened as a result?"

Here is a testable hypothesis. Will Greenwald's big revelation lead to any change? Will anything Snowden has revealed lead to any change?

  • So far the operation has just served to desensitize us.

We now make jokes about the NSA listening in on our conversations. I make those jokes, too. Has it altered anyone's behavior? No. There has been no mass exodus from smartphones. There has been no mass protests to congress.

People continue their 'blitching' - blogging and bitching about it. No real change has come about. It has all appearances of a limited hangout.

  • Snowden makes appearances live on the BBC, interviewed by Brian Williams of NBC (which is owned by one of the biggest defense contractors in the country: GE) It is all a show.

Wow - she's very passionate. 100% certain that this is all scripted.

She makes the point that I made before watching: Everyone so badly wants to believe this is true. It makes them easy to fool.

"People have become so dumbified that even this bad psyop works on them."

(Dumbified. Do you like that word? I do.)

  • She says the 'next' Snowden will have to be even more spectacular. He'll have to stage an escape like something out of the Bourne Identity series in order for people to be mesmerized enough to watch and pay attention.

    - - -

She's got guts, I'll say that.

We don't have the First Amendment so we can talk about the weather.

He's the man.

i do like the word

dumbified. it goes hand in hand with Idiocracy, however i'm with ron paul, glen greenwald, ed snowden, daniel ellsberg etc who i consider the opposite of those terms. it is interesting though to entertain different theories and i'll be watching how this all turns out. i will say this: researching sibel a bit this morning has given me a headache, half the time it sounds like she's talking underwater :-)

Michael Nystrom's picture

I can't say I know a ton about Sibel

I didn't read her book. I've seen her on a few YouTubes. She's opinionated, and sometimes I agree with her, and sometimes I don't.

She was very anti-Bruce Fein, back in 2011, which was irksome to me, because I was into the Ron Paul campaign and he was an advisor. Here is the article:

The Greatest Plot Against the Ron Paul Camp To Date

And here is something a little more recent:

Bruce Fein: A Bad Penny That Is Always Turning Up

Like I said, I used to think the Internet would be a great truth machine, but sometimes, after reading everything, and listening to people like they're talking from underwater, it is still hard to make up one's mind at the end of the day.

Now I'm of the opinion that I don't need to have an opinion on everything. I've been wrong too many times, lol. This used to be my signature line quote:

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposing ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.

I'm working on my ability to become a first-rate intelligence :)

He's the man.

and only an idiot can't change his mind. i believe burroughs said that.

i'll check out the links. thanks.

re internet i'd say it is full of truths and lies. i agree that trying to get to the nitty gritty at times seems impossible, then it's best (for me) to furgetaboutit, at least for a while.

btw i'm high as a kite on your morning juice concoction! now i see where you get all your energy!

snowden did all he could

all the players are now in hiding fearing for their lives..no more leaks ..

Who cares about Snowden....

the whole point to his advance was...

to inspire an advance within us all...

Snowden will not bring down the establishment,
he never intended to...

he intended us to do that job.

Father - Husband - Son - Spirit - Consciousness

Michael Nystrom's picture

This is the most important

This is the most important point of all.

He's the man.

Okay But...

...if this is indeed a psyop then the goal of that psyop would be to prevent the "most important point of all" from happening.

walk around public and ask people if they even know who Snowden is. I bet you find maybe a couple, if any.

show them a picture and lot more would say: 'oh that guy'

I still

disagree. Try it out

I'm sure

someone will do it eventually, then we'll see. You may very well be right. It would also be interesting to pick different places, a mall, a campus etc.
