When This Is Over

I'm calling on all Ron Paul meetup groups to remain in tact regardless of the outcome of this campaign. Do Not disband! We have something going on here. Let's transform our efforts into a grassroots political awarness group.
We'd essentially keep doing what we're doing except we'd campaign for the platform instead of the man; rule of law and the Constitution, monetary reform, balanced government and states rights, focusing on local elections until 2012 when we either re-elect Paul or elect a new champion. At which time we will have provided the support in local governments and Congress to support our President.

I can only speak for myself when I say, I am only getting started here. We must take our country back!!!

We'll need a younger candidate for 2012

I thought Paul Ryan had some interesting words for Bernanke the other day.

maybe not

don't know that I like his foriegn policy

Very Important

We need about 435 congressmen/women to be in Washington to be servants of the people. And defenders of Liberty.

In Liberty's Cause

this is an important post

I'm Not Ever Giving Up.

I intend to keep fighting for our constitutional rights, period. Most of the active Bay Area Meetup members feel the same way. I believe it IS a revolution, and no matter how long it takes, I'm not "quitting" until we have our freedom back.

Agree

Ron Paul says this is an educational campaign. That needs to continue.

I was thinking we could have a nationwide, grassroots educational organization. Instead of Ron Paul buttons, we all wear a button that says "Ask me about liberty" and then we always carry a little booklet or pamphlet about liberty to give away when someone asks. Keep it simple. When we get a convert, they join up and wear the button. Pass it on.

If the economy and the dollar goes the way I think it will, there are going to be some pretty tough times ahead. When the going gets tough, people look for answers. It is going to be up to us to make sure the answers they get are the answers of freedom, not socialist dictatorship.

Peace.

It USED TO be an educational campaign

Now it's one where he wins!

That's right

My suggestion is everyone should run for local committee. The local committeperson needs ten signatures to get on the ballot and advises people at the polls who the republicans are voting for.

I'm doing this and soon I'll be running for school board. Local control is the best. Dr. Paul cured my apathy.

absolutely

let's all move to texas

I agree...

I agree, but it looks like I might be moving to New Hampshire.

Unless college takes me out of the country.

This is a must.

I have already decided to do this with my meetup group.

Even if Ron gets elected, we have to stay active. This is a battle of ideas and it can't be won with one election.

I was committed to this movement before Ron's campaign began, so it was natural to me. I just hope that the majority of the people I've met stick around as well.

I higly recommend joining www.downsizedc.org.

Agree

Please join www.downsizedc.org
And please support Bev Harris at www.blackboxvoting.org

Consider joining Restore The Republic: http://www.freedomtofascism.com/volunteer/volunteer.html

I believe that until we have transparent honest elections with paper ballots counted by neighborhood volunteers, we'll never have our freedom back.

I'm an assistant Meetup coordinator of two groups numbering 573 members. And we're not going anyplace after the election. We will continue working to educate others about freedom, liberty, and the constitution.

GOP

I think that we have to become leaders in the Republican party. We need to all start going to those meetings in addition to, or instead of, RP meet-up groups. Our impact will be greater if we try to shift the party from within than if we attack it from the outside. If they nominate McCaine the GOP is going to get it's ass kicked in November, and they are going to be looking for new direction. We have it! I suspect that the hardcore party base thinks we are all just faking being Republicans and will go away after the election, but if we show them that we are the real deal. We are in a great position to change the direction of the party.

Great Idea

Yes

They are changing the names. The ones in NH have already done it. Perhaps you could all use the same names for continuity?

Edit: I just looked them up and don't see the changes but perhaps you could keep the word Ron Paul in the name for connection purposes? How about changing them to Ron Paul Revolution at least on the face, the URLs would stay the same?

Someone in NH suggested some sort of Liberty site, but how would anyone know it was the RP coalition?

You can change the name of the group on the front page but keep the URL
as ronpaul.meetup.com/#/ whatever.

This is why we need the

This is why we need the precinct captain information from HQ. This information will -not- be available to us after a while.
Sign up, download your precinct info. Do you see how powerful this information will be?

Already talking about the end, that's a bad sign

I know one thing, I'm not voting for McCain at all, I'll help the Democrats bury McCain. I have no loyalty to the GOP after the way they treat Ron Paul. I'll take my chances with Hillary or Obama........screw McCain and his bunch of henchmen. I used to say, you couldn't do any worse than George Bush, but I do believe McCain is the man that would prove me wrong.

alan laney

Well, of COURSE he meant

Well, of COURSE he meant after Ron Paul is elected President! Then we need to stay together so we can campaign for people in the Senate and Congress to back up our newly elected guy.

Please don't!

OMG please don't do that... write in Ron Paul to send a message, but do NOT case a vote for Hillary or Obama! They are just as bad if not worse than McCain or Romney.

The question is

Do we try to take over the republican party or go third party? I think taking over the republican party would be more likely to be successful. We get alot of free voters that way and an already established apparatus. 200,000 committed people and 15 years should do it. The constitution party is great but it is so overtly christian that it would have difficulty attracting non christians ( I am a Christian). Whatever we do we should stay together and be united.

3rd parties are losers

As Ron knows you won't get far with a 3rd party. Eventually the GOP is old and dying off..and they need new blood. Getting into a working viable recognized party and changing it is the way to go. The platform is already there, just make people adhere to it!

I agree...

is there an umbrella internet site just for Ron Paul meetup groups that informs all members of important strategies, fundraising, other constitutional candidates....???

If not this is something that needs to be set up soon.

Frankly, I am tired of the republican party....it is time to set up something new....but I understand your point, no need to re-invent the wheel...it would be great if we could get the Libertarian, Constitution, Green, Independent parties to MERGE into ONE....so that we could all POOL our support to ADVANCE our ONE GOAL of constitutional goverenment.

That would take a miracle. But I have faith.

Jesus is the saviour of the WHOLE WORLD, "As in Adam all die, so too in Christ ALL shall be made alive." (ICor.15:22) All means all. The pagan 'hell' of literal fire & eternal torment is a lie and is SPIRITUAL TERRORISM. http://www.hopebeyondhell.net

I have started one..

I have started one and have added that category. Right now it's geared toward the election, but after that will be a resource for this type of thing.

I second the motion.

I second the motion.

"But, indeed, no private person has a right to complain, by suit in court, on the ground of a breach of the Constitution. The Constitution it is true, is a compact, but he is not a party to it."

No Way to put this genie back in the bottle

I think we need a new party to represent the Ron Paul platform for future elections and candidates. We could call it The Liberty or The Constitution party.

I like Liberty Party

But for right now, I think the Republican nomination is attainable. Let's focus on that.

There is already a

There is already a Constitution Party.
