So the House of Representatives has passed the appropriations bill that will fund the Departments of Transportation and Housing and Urban Development for fiscal year 2015 which starts on September 30th, 2014.
They had already funded the Department of Transportation to the tune of $113,581,764,227.00 for the fiscal year 2014 and HUD received $975,311,476,000.00 which was the highest individual department appropriations for fiscal year 2014.
The current appropriations include items such as:
Dept. of Transportation, payments to air carriers, $149,000,000
Federal Aviation Administration, research, engineering, and development, $156,750,000
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, highway traffic safety grants, $561,500,000
Federal Transit Administration, transit formula grants, $9,500,000,000
Public and Indian Housing, tenant-based rental assistance, $15,356,529,000
These are just a few of the line items that passed the House and are now sitting on the calendar in the Senate.
