We need Huckabee out!

I keep hearing everyone say that Huckabee is in the race to deflect voters away from Romney. But that is not true. He is there to keep voters away from RP. Why do you think he keeps repeating RP's platform? Look at his stance on the issues. Other then war, EVERYTHING is to deflect our voters.

1) Abortion
2) Abolish the Fed
3) "Conservative" Christians and the Church Support
4) Stregthening the economy

The list goes on. I know he is wrong, my point is that he is there because of Ron, not Romney.

We have to get him out, we have to crush him in Main!

it won't be long. he only has half a million, can't compete, can't raise any money. but i do have to admit, i felt sorry for him during the debate the other night. he had this look on his face like, "hey wait a minute, i thought i was one of 'the boys'... why are you ignoring me now?" maybe he sympathizes RP and could endorse him? I'm not big on endorsements but they're making such a big deal about former candidates and who they're endorsing..

Huckabee needs to stay in

so to divide the vote and send this to a brokered convention. He needs to win a few states so no one candidate gets the 51% of the Delegates. THIS IS the RP campaign strategy. And it REQUIRES us to get off our asses, off our PC's and start canvassing/calling. The MSM is not going to do this for us. If WE the People wnat our country back, we have to fight for it. Preaching to the choir doesn't win the contest.

Interesting...but check out the book "The Elephant in the Room"

"The Elephant in the Room" is about how the Republican Party will self destruct in 2008 because the marriage between evangelists and libertarians is on the rocks.

The book predicts that the south would go to an evangelist preacher type and the west would go to a libertarian type. This has almost happened...except Ron Paul's anti-war platform provided the opportunity for a pro-war CFR Mormon to take what would have been his western votes.

The main problem for libertarians is that the anti-war platform of Ron Paul is not a normal libertarian position nor is the pro-life platform.

Ron Paul is appealing to both groups in large numbers...but repulsing both in great numbers as well because of the opinion on the "other issue".

He can still pull off a big win by stressing the seldom talked about (in debates) individual rights platform while providing detailed examples of fascist laws that McCain and Romney voted for or proposed.

Saturday night will be a big chance to finally start destroying McRomney by discussing specific fascist domestic legislation.

Ron Paul isn't anti-war!!

Thanks for the tip on the book, I'll check it out.

if he's saying all the same

if he's saying all the same stuff then maybe we could win over the whole christian right with a paul/huckabee ticket. I would hate it and I don't think the cfr would allow their new lackey to side with the enemy but I'd sure take huck's voters.

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."- JFK

You're right ninja

I was laughing my butt off when my politically experienced Father in law said "There's a very good chance that Huckabee could be Ron Paul's VP".

I went "WHAT!?! But Huck wears his religion on his sleeve!"
He went (paraphrased) "Well, Huckabee and Ron Paul are both very religious. You're right that Huckabee is more obvious about it, but Paul is just as faithful."

It DOES make sense, it WOULD round off the ticket.

Ron Paul is a straight shooter, not afraid to hurt people's feelings, but he tells the truth. He's attracting a lot of fiscal conservative voters.

Huckabee finesses, he makes light jokes to ease the pain of what he is saying. He's attracting a lot of religious voters.

Huckabee is caffeine free diet Paul.

So it would make sense to have a Paul/Huck ticket

Here's the problem...

First, the Huckster would have to complete this course:

Dr. Paul would then administer his final examination. No points will be awarded for comic timing, or public speaking ability.

Trouble is, it takes 52 weeks to complete and we don't have that kind of time.

You don't want two of the

You don't want two of the same in a ticket, you limit your base.
You need Abbot and Costello to get more voters.

Huckabee is an issue thief

He's only managed to maintain any popularity by quietly stealing Ron Paul's ideas and his fanatical followers don't seem to care, they just want Huck/Jesus 2008.

I was thinking about this very thing today.

I came to the conclusion that the best possible thing for the GOP and America would be if both Mitt and Huckster stepped aside before Feb 5.

I know. I know. But a man can dream can't he?

Huck will probably quit immediately afterward and join McCain.

At that point the Republican establishment deck will be stacked so much against Romney that he'll have to think twice about throwing any more of his own money drown the drain.

They should just spare us and let McCain and the good Doctor do battle.

I do fear Johnny "100" would end up looking like the idiot he is. I haven't liked McCain for about five years now, but it wasn't until I got to see him in his full glory that I discovered he actually makes George W. look dignified and tactful.

or you can join him

we welcome you all.

Either way,

If Huckabee stays in five minutes past Super Tuesday I'll eat my Steinway.

let them vote for the dems.

let them vote for the dems. that just means RP will get all the rep. support and make the rep nomination then when he goes against hillary and obama veryone will change their mind and vote for RP because they will see the truth when he make s them look like fools.... dont worry about this stuff. you can twist and turn verything anyway you want to. just focus on getting out the vote!!!

Look, RP will not take this straight up. The only hope is a brokered convention. In order for RP to win that FIVE things have to happen.

1 - no one can have a majority of delegates going to convention

2 - RP needs stealth delegates. When the states chose their delegates, even in primary states that have them pledged on the first ballot, they need to be secret RP supporters.

3 - FOUR candidates, including RP need to win FIVE states each. RP cannot even be considered for nomination without the majority of delegates from five states.

4 - RP needs to finish 3rd or better on the first ballot. If he finishes 4th - it's over. This is why HUCK has to be in there - he's the fall guy on the first ballot. I assure you - it WON'T be Romney or McCain.

5 - After Huck is dropped, the stealth RP delegates along with RP's real delegates need to be in the majority and they need to have been pledged for McCain or Romney on the first ballot. If they were pledged for Huckabee, that will still not get RP the win. They have to be SWITCHED from the leaders to Paul - that makes them count TWICE.

Without Huck in contention at convention, RP will be 3rd on the first ballot and get eliminated - game over.

Exactly...well said.

"First they ignore you. Then they ridicule you. Then they fight you. Then you win". --Mahatma Gandhi

"First they ignore you. Then they ridicule you. Then they fight you. Then you win". --Mahatma Gandhi

then we need to beat the big dogs!

And that means, boots on the ground canvassing, sign up to be a Precinct Leader and let's Win States!

I'm beginning to think that....

....many of these Republicans would vote for Hillary/Obama over Ron Paul because they are ALSO hooked on the government taking care of them with Social Security, health care, etc.

Let's face it, this nation has become Sovietized and most don't even know it.

Yeah Patrick, you're right on

Just about everybody is sucking off the teat of the government. Just ask anybody over age 65.....their healthcare is already Nationalized! And the disabled, whether or not they "really are", .........ask the welfare folks, ask the farmers in Iowa who sends them subsidies so they can buy those $200,000 tractors, ask anybody that works for a military defense contractor.....or directly for the government. Let's see, that would be the post office, the law enforcement people, and that's zillions of depts. and the list goes on, and on, and on. Yeah, we've been had. Make the best of it you can, and what happened to any Ron Paul support in Florida?

alan laney

Just wait till their SS ends.

and at the rate we are going it wont take long. Did you listen to Romney during the debate. Guess where he is going to cut spending! He wants to increase the military and abolish the welfare state. His plans aren't civilized like RP's. He is going to cut them off immediately. Then he is going to mandate Heath Care. You don't buy it? Too bad, you don't get it. He is out to completely abolish SS and welfare. Mark my words. Listen to him again.

Mathew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

I don't think that Romney has a compassionate bone in his body and Huck is not trustworthy.

I feel sorry for the poor seniors but at the same time they make me mad! They of all people should know better, but it's that old fear thing again. I'm not too far away from that age bracket but I'd rather die than be a slave.

“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”
― Albert Camus

Both Romney and RP

Not just one or the other he's deflecting votes from..
Once Huck's gone, who are the "evangelicals" (and I am one, technically) gonna vote for? Not the Mormon, and not the amnesty granting wacko.

I wouldn't have a problem with Huckabee

if he was honest and said he got those Ideas from Ron Paul.

If he endorsed ~ complete transparency with the FED ( A Audit / All Meetings Televised / and a Competing Currency.)

Pulling out of Iraq, and Ending the Empire.

If we pull out of Iraq / Iraq will be much safer!!

So what part

do you like? hahaha

I wouldn't have a problem with Huckabee if he wasn't running for president:)

Infiltrate These Ultra Right Wing Christian Puppets

I stopped going to my Southern Baptist Church because they kept pushing the idea that we have to stick by our friends in Israel, no matter what. This is typical for the right wing church groups. Most of the congregation buys this crap even though they don't understand.

It's the daggom right wing Christians leaders leading us down to the slaughterhouse. I think if they didn't push this crap, the "establishment" would put them out of business.

Start attending these places just to expose the fraud and wake these sheep up.

Like RON PAUL Said...

We give THREE TIMES MORE AID to their enemies than to Israel...how is that "looking out" for their best interest. This is what the churches don't know and never say anything about. Most people in the churches want to believe they are voting for the right guy...and have proved before (BUSH) that they will vote in a candidate who says he is a Christian over ANYONE else. This is where HUCKABEE hurts us. With him out, it would leave NO OTHER CHRISTIAN CANDIDATE...and 42 million with only one guy to vote for :)

If only Ron Paul had the oratory skills

As much as we love him, RP is not the greatest speaker. If we could have Romney's looks, Huckabee's speaking ability, and Ron Pauls {intelligence, voting record, integrity, vigilence, attitude, compassion, etc. etc. etc.}, that would be the ultimate candidate.

"No man has a natural right to commit aggression on the equal

Libertas, Pax, Prosperitas

Agree and disagree

He is a good speaker. He as a tendency to let his voice become high-pitched when he gets excited. I wish he could speak so that it would scare the hell out of you.

Ron Paul needs a speech coach

He does sound much better with his regular voice. It seems that his official campaign staff aren't doing enough to help him out with his public image.
I can understand how frustrated he gets during these "debates" where he gets little if any time, and then gets asked idiotic questions, but he does need to moderate his voice and show some optimism. People tire of alarmist attitudes, and if the same argument is presented in a more positive optimistic manner his poll numbers would increase dramatically.

It is after all a beauty contest, and unfortunately boilerplate speeches and sound bites dominate. Ron needs better sound bites.
