Congress Irrelevant: Obama says to reform immigration on his own, bypassing Congress

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama said on Monday he would take executive action to reform the U.S. immigration system after hopes of passing legislation in Congress officially died.

Republican John Boehner, speaker of the House of Representatives, told Obama last week that his chamber would not vote on immigration reform this year, killing chances that a wide-ranging bill passed by the Senate would become law.

The collapse of the legislative process delivers another in a series of blows to Obama's domestic policy agenda and comes as he struggles to deal with a flood of unaccompanied minors from Central America who have entered the United States.

It also sets up a new battle with congressional Republicans, who accuse Obama of going beyond his legal authority to take executive action on issues such as gay rights and equal pay for women and men.

Even though the journey of an illegal alien is hazardous, it's going to be even more hazardous when they're found murdered. If the federal government continues its wanton violation of the US Constitution, vigilantes will ensure the borders are secured one way or another. Hopefully, the governors of the border states will thumb their nose at the federal government's lack of enforcement and take emergency action to secure the borders BEFORE the murders of illegal aliens start to rise...

Btw, I need to tell you this folks, and it'll become ever more relevant as we get closer to 2016:

we need to stay connected; we need to "watch after" each other, by whatever means we find practical and acceptable.

AFAIC, I'm going to engage more concretely, soon, in Constitutional defense activities with what's left of the 1A, and not alone of course.

They can't quite go yet to harm physically after the biggest political names like Rand and others. The MSM is already on the job for those, of course.

But they're going to continue to get the free press disappear, by any means - lowering the threshold of visibility, they will go after anyone of us esp. outspoken and who starts gaining traction, online or whatnot.

I can read history, the examples are plenty.

Watch after yourself and your friends - financially, your reputation... etc.

Congress is part of this

Congress, with the exception of a handful, have purposely allowed themselves to become irrelevant, this way the bankers can have their dictator. This is why the establishment is trying so hard to get rid of people like Amash and Massie because they are going along with the plan.

This is an interesting

This is an interesting subject.

Before Obama, immigrants from Mexico were quietly finding their way into the United States, drip by drop for decades.

Obama turned the hose on high, and now (finally) people are starting to care about illegal immigration now that the flood gates have been opened.

How will the American people respond to Obama's EO?

Would there be any response without it?

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

“But let us not deceive ourselves into thinking that we are dealing by this means with the problem of fascism. Fascism will come at the hands of perfectly authentic Americans, as violently against Hitler and Mussolini as the next one, but who are convinced that the present economic system is washed up and that the present political system in America has outlived its usefulness and who wish to commit this country to the rule of the bureaucratic state; interfering in the affairs of the states and cities; taking part in the management of industry and finance and agriculture; assuming the role of great national banker and investor, borrowing millions every year and spending them on all sorts of projects through which such a government can paralyze opposition and command public support; marshaling great armies and navies at crushing costs to support the industry of war and preparation for war which will become our greatest industry; and adding to all this the most romantic adventures in global planning, regeneration, and domination all to be done under the authority of a powerfully centralized government in which the executive will hold in effect all the powers with Congress reduced to the role of a debating society."

Congress is irrelevant. Creditors set the agenda.

Want to borrow more they say, then do what we creditors say.
