To My Daily Paul Family: A Song of Hope

I've long wanted to tell you guys how much I love you. I want all of you to know this Love I've found. The Truth and freedom I know. I'm accused around these parts of being a 'fire and brimstone' Christian. That's okay--people didn't understand Jesus either. If an outsider heard my prayers, he'd probably laugh out loud, "Lord, help Magwan77, please show yourself to FreedomNinja, Show the truth to SmudgePot" and the list goes on. My husband even gets in on the action. :) Please know Michael Nystrom, I appreciate this website, and all of you here, I do love you.

The following song was written and performed by some friends of my children (my children sing and play and have met some other family bands).

What a beautiful blessing

What a beautiful blessing in song and video. Touched my old stoney heart.

"You are loved" says it all. A song of hope, indeed.

Thank you for sharing the Creator's love with the DP family.

I'm so glad it was a blessing to you!

I was about to move on and

I was about to move on and not watch the video but I decided to do so, and I was teary eyed through the whole thing, it was really beautiful. Imagine a burly dude blubbering like a baby in front of his laptop. That girl singing has a beautiful soul, and they just looked like a kind family. This world wants that destroyed.

I was raised in an atheist household and discovered Christ at 31, before then I was full of ego, and hatred. I used to drink myself to oblivion, and bang loose chicks. I thought I was doing a half decent job of being cool by what pop culture presents as happiness, but I just felt hollow inside. Hollow till I got me some Jesus, and now I get the proverbial "It". It's all about the love.

This song should go platinum, but instead little girls are being taught how to twerk like Miley Cyrus.

What a great testimony! I

What a great testimony! I love how God can reach down and change a life like that. God Bless.

Now THAT is worship immersion!

You're a shoe-in for opening Sunday next year at the Braun Family Reunion Festival in Challis, Idaho. That's a really good song performed and presented superbly. Did Amy-Joy produce the video portion? Speaking of production, the audio engineering is also superb. Microphones, EQ, and the lot [however you did it] sound fantastic on every combination of speakers and volume settings I can throw at it. I'll eventually play that for my boys in attempt to inspire them as it has inspired me.

By the way, do you ever hear the faint and distant rumble of Neil Young while you're standing out in your stubble field? I'm kidding, you don't have to answer that. ;D

Thanks, but this is not my

Thanks, but this is not my family. I will post videos of us soon though. :)

Amy Joy's brother, Joel, does the videography and yes, he is very skilled. He recently shot footage for the upcoming documentary "Targeted". They are truly a wonderful family!

You got me hooked on their humorous mini-dramas

Musically, spiritually, and aesthetically well done here, 1controversialchick. Thank you for posting. I've had the good fortune to be among families like these folks have, and I'm always encouraged to have hope to build towards a better future for such to inherit. Plus, they write and act their own scripts, like this :)

Thanks Sister for the Revalation

We weren't meant to live in a state of despair but thrive in the truth of who He made us to be. Thanks for sharing the family band.

Not so lovely

calling people out by name, do we agree on that, WOMAN?

You vio;ated my privacy and will be treated as such. Ron Paul supporter or not.

I think this comment was directed at me. I'm very

sorry to have offended you. Before posting, I asked myself if I would like to be addressed personally on the DP. I know I would be thrilled to know I was thought of outside of the website. I honestly thought I might hurt feelings because I did NOT mention someone--because I've prayed for many more here than listed.

So, please accept my humble apology. I certainly do not want another enemy. May God bless you!

No chick, it's not you at all, he's upset with me

from the Jam Session Thread and chose rather to target me here in your post.

I have written your name on a post-it, put it right above my monitor where I will see it until it falls off. You will be thought of outside of the website. :)

Sensitive much? I mean your name is there for everyone to see

Better gather all the dyslexics and scold them too.

So how is it I broke your privacy MAN? Surely you don't think everyone here thinks you're Pele do you? And what's with "WOMAN" being capitalized? What does this capitalization say to me (and the crowd)?

How is it you intend to treat me? Follow me around dogging me out?
How about, "libertarian", you stop trying to "make" people do what you want them to do? I say again: You Don't Own Me

Is his reply worth stressing any over?

If this kind of complaining is the worst he can do, then make humor of it, rather than take grief from it.

I enjoy every moment of the scratchin' and clawin' if'n you can't tell. :) Thank you PK for your kindnesses.

The guys have kinda taken over, but ladies are always welcome

I can see you have no problem wrangling your way in, but it does seems less mixed than when we were under JRD's loving guidance and care, eh?

Vive la différence, as the contrasts and complimentary songs that ya'll bring, often sound as good as ya'll look ;) (just guessing :)

I miss posting an occasional audio-rose, when it seems a gift is appropriate. You're truly welcome, SC.

Very beautiful.

I wish the self-described "Christians" I knew in High School were more like you. Their words turned me into a God-Hating atheist for many years, because their words were not of God, but of "the Other Guy," the guy whose words promote the lie that God is a cruel, sadistic, tyrant that laughs at those who are not as perfect as he is.

I won't go into details, but I can see in the words of Mohusk and Magwan77 that same confusion about what a "Christian" is. It is very easy to turn away from God when his supposed spokespersons show a kind of callousness toward human suffering that rivals that of many of the tyrants throughout history.

I have my disagreements with you but there is no question in my mind that you and your children have tapped into something very special, the love of Jesus Christ. I wish you all the best.

Well, I hate to admit it, but I probably WAS one of those

kids in High School. Don't get me wrong--I was a very compassionate person. But, I didn't understand the mercy of God nearly as well as I do now (and I'm definitely still learning). Suffering has its way of doing that. :)

I cry nearly every time I think about how such a HOLY RIGHTEOUS God reached down to me, a vile sinner. And, how He's willing to reconcile other sinners to Himself. How could he love the very ones who killed His own son? Now that I have children of my own, I truly cannot grasp that kind of love.

Wow! Just Wow!

Thanks.
