F4 was only a one time performance?

I thought this was once per week?

Not that I'm going to be there... I'm going to bed, but was hoping to get a jab or two in before hitting the sack... alas, nobody to spar with.

Ron Paul is better at answering questions that asking them

I think that's why the whole channel thing isn't really working out. Not to mention the paywall.

Honestly I don't think they know what they're doing over there.

I've suggested it before...

I think there needs to be collaboration. For what it's worth, I'd be willing to participate. I'm pretty controversial, I feel however, because I'm willing to stand up to anyone at any time. I march to the beat of my own drum - to put it mildly - and that makes people nervous and often intimidated, at least that has been my observation. When I believe in something, I don't half-ass it. I put my heart and soul into it.

Like it says in the song "My heroes have always been cowboys":

Them that don't know him won't like him,
and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him.

He ain't wrong.
He's just different,
and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right.

I'm a fountain of ideas when given a problem to solve, however.

Sweet Dreams

This video is quite fascinating.

Before the internet was born, here it is in full fashion well before its time.

At about 28 seconds in until the 40 second mark.

Sweat Dreams are made of these, who had a mind to disagree?

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Michael Nystrom's picture

That was awesome

It was like a prerecorded message, delivered right when I needed it.

Everybody's looking for something

Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused

Everybody's looking for something.

There is a real 1984 vibe to the whole video. I remember when this song was popular, but I wasn't a fan of it. It has a great message, but the delivery is so harsh.

Look at how different this is, so much later in her career. Very powerful. What a beautiful woman. What a powerful message.

I always assumed she was talking about her partner Dave. What ever happened to Dave. I never heard the story of their breakup.

I would vote for Rand P

If he stated he would elect his dad. To head of the fed. Then work to close it down. At sixty now .After the USF Ron Paul rally in Florida Aug 2011 driving from Tennessee. With all my Ron Paul stickers and also getting my republican father and mother to see Ron Pauls views and voting for Ron in the primary's. Its time to live more peacefully and love family, wife and grandkids And spend some gold and silver . Greenbacks to me are kale, collards and veggies which I print .I mean grow.

Money talks and dogs bark

Michael Nystrom's picture

Come on, man, that is not going to happen

You've got to get out of that dream world. You got stuck in a moment and now you can't get out of it.

But actually, the more I read of your comment, the more I see you're well on you're way :)

Its time to live more peacefully and love family, wife and grandkids And spend some gold and silver . Greenbacks to me are kale, collards and veggies which I print .I mean grow.

Those are the best greenbacks around! What a great metaphorical observation: Real Greenbacks.

(Not to mention the Mary J)

Not what you expected, was it!

Feel free to carry on with out me, but I'm going to hit the sack!

Thanks guys, for the conversation. I hope it was somewhat productive.

Love,
Me

Definitely different from what I expected...

Same bat time... Same bat channel?

Crazy!

The cheese stands alone. The proof is in the pudding.

So I came here to school bitcoin fenatics

But it's Thursday and I'm excited about Friday and in too good of a mood at the moment.

To me, it's an extremely important topic and it is an advanced one because it covers philosophy, technology, economics. And I look forward to sitting down for a moment next week if anyone specifically would entertain the pro.

Looks to me like it could be

Looks to me like it could be next thursday. But who knows, it depends on how it will be organized . Bitcoin may not be the first topic to be discussed.

I didn't read all the below

Is that what is happening, people are trying to central plan topics? Ugh.

I thought we would just go here and start debating lawlessly like we always do. Haven't we learned anything yet? =)

Lol, nice point. Still, we

Lol, nice point. Still, we did agree to do it thursday and I imagine there are too many topics to do on one day. Judging from the factions list, having those topics all on one day might take the site down.

But heck, we could certainly try out the anarchist way and see how that pans out.

Michael Nystrom's picture

Good. Keep that good vibration going

Try that one out for the next week. Maybe two. Even three.

Forget about "schooling" the "fenatics" lol.

If bitcoin is so important then why do you care what other people think about it? Does "schooling" others change anything fundamental about the reality of bitcoin?

not sure i understand

it is precisely because it is an important topic that causes me to be interested in raising awareness about it.

do you not have any desire to change the way people think about things? if not, what is the point of this (or any dialogue)?

by the way, i was being flippant when i said "I'm here to school you fenatics." I'm trying to have some fun with it, doncha know.

speaking of which, you might consider updating your userguide with instructions on how to use a sarc tag. Below you have:

"•Allowed HTML tags: a b blockquote s br i em strong cite ul ol li strike img iframe center p"

none of these turn the font purple. =b

Amen to that. I can't stand

Amen to that. I can't stand when people reply to others just for the sake of, "schooling," them. It's not about who is right and who is wrong, it's all about helping each other get better by sharing our own thoughts and ideas.

I don't want to, "school," anyone. I want to learn.

Let me propose the obvious, and see what you think...

The primary faction of the Daily Paul is (was) Ron Paul for President.

Ron Paul was a bona fide faction in the GOP, both in 2008 and 2012 - a subfaction of "Conservatives" (as opposed to say, "Moderates") which itself is a subfaction of the GOP, which itself is a subfaction of Political Parties. So the lineage goes:

  • Political Parties
    • GOP
      • Conservatives
        • Liberty Faction
          • Ron Paul

In 2008 and 2012, the Daily Paul was united by Ron Paul. Although everyone here came from different backgrounds, the one thing we could all agree on was Ron Paul for President.

    Is that agreed?

Furthermore, anyone here who wasn't in the Ron Paul for President faction unceremoniously got the boot.

Not nit-picking, but ,

should there be a sub-group between Conservatives and Ron Paul, entitled constitutionalists or liberty faction; most conservatives are definitely not constitution-minded nor are they liberty-minded.

Michael Nystrom's picture

Ok done

Added!

Are there any other subfactions below "Liberty Faction"?

Actually, I think there are more,

but, I think you'll agree, too many to include. The ones I've noted on the DP would be:

1. Strict constitutionalists faction
2. Bleeding heart constitutionalists faction
3. Religious liberty faction
4. Non-religious liberty faction
5. Anarchist-Minarchist faction
6. Small government faction
7. Pro-Israel faction
8. Anti-Israel faction

And while these are just some of the factions, many of us may belong to more than one of these factions. While, at times, we all may bicker back and forth, I think we all would identify ourselves with the liberty faction firstly.

Cyril's picture

On this end, I think I belong to 10 fairly overlapping factions

On this end, I think I belong to 10 fairly overlapping factions :

1. the Bill of Rights or Nothing- faction
2. the Bill of Rights or Nothing- faction
3. the Bill of Rights or Nothing- faction
4. the Bill of Rights or Nothing- faction
5. the Bill of Rights or Nothing- faction
6. the Bill of Rights or Nothing- faction
7. the Bill of Rights or Nothing- faction
8. the Bill of Rights or Nothing- faction
9. the Bill of Rights or Nothing- faction
10. the Bill of Rights or Nothing- faction

"Bear with me!" :)

"Cyril" pronounced "see real". I code stuff.

Good one,

probably the only one that really counts. lol

subfactions below "Liberty Faction"

-Tolerant
-Loving
-Moral
-Ron Paul

I'm not exactly sure if they're in proper order but the last. :D

Agreed! But...when everyone

Agreed! But...when everyone agrees ideas get boring and become scarce.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Michael Nystrom's picture

But this need not become boring

It is simply establishing a base upon which to build.

Point being: At one time, we all agreed on something. Is it possible that we find something in the future that we can all agree on?

I always hoped that C4L was going to morph into its own political party. In retrospect, that was naive I suppose. I think people might have been able to get on board with that. But that is neither here nor their.

The point of this exercise is to see if there is some common ground we can find, instead of wasting our time fighting with each other.

But maybe that's all people want to do. Maybe they're just bored, and want something to argue about. I don't know.

It always seems to default into factions -divide and conquer

Too many people still in the matrix program and too much deprograming still must occur.

Lots of websites, lots of radio talk shows, and lots of little leaders in the liberty movement. It's all good for the awakening, but at this time the game still unfortunately needs the unifying leader with the unifying message. Ron Paul was our common ground. Too bad he wasn't young.

I can only speak for myself, but as i live my life out of the matrix, I'm sometimes drawn partially back into it. Most of my friends and family live within it and therefor I enter the program for small periods of time.

i do what I can for the revolution ( ie...join local REC, spread the message via emails, books, conversations, prep and gain knowledge etc...).

I loved the short video above, and it's exactly right. The sovereign individual utopia where we all understand liberty and the consequences of losing it isn't going to happen in my opinion until......? There will continue to be factions, sub factions and so forth until someone clean and worthy enough can step up and do it. I know, i know, we shouldn't be waiting for that, but how many of us would still be in the matrix if it weren't for the rise of Ron Paul? I don't know how many sunglasses ( Ref: They Live ) we have to hand out for the tipping point to occur, but we are not there yet.

So...."The point of this exercise is to see if there is some common ground we can find, instead of wasting our time fighting with each other.

But maybe that's all people want to do. Maybe they're just bored, and want something to argue about. I don't know".

Maybe you're right, or maybe were all just waiting for that leader or that faction to rise. Maybe the awake ones are just living their life, trying to stay ahead of the curve and teach our children.

I really enjoy your web site and use many times a day. It has morphed ( perhaps temporarily ) into an interesting site, and i have been exposed to interesting things. With that said, I can instantly draw up a surge of energy and passion when I think of our two past fights to get Ron Pal elected. I have to admit, i long for the next one.

Anyways, I just started typing and this post came about.

If you can find an arhivable way to entice factions

put aside their 'inhibitions' and focus on the strength in numbers on common ground, you will have found the formula that will make you rich. What kind of rich would you choose?

Can people "Grok" without a martian to follow?
