What Happened to the Greenwald "Gamechanger"

He was going to release a list of the people the NSA was spying on. The story was delayed, then he came out with 5 scary Muslim-American names. Did I miss part 2 of that story?

I don't know if this is Greenwald... but this is a BIG Snowden

reveal:

These agencies are not just listening, they are attempting to manipulate.

It was sarcasm. sorry.

my misread

no problemo

His tack has always been to

His tack has always been to say part A, then wait for the refutation.

Then he comes out with part B, which shows the refutation for the lie that it is.

He's dropped part A, now waiting for official response.

Perhaps the administration learned to stop responding?

Exactly.

Like I said in a previous post, his leading with the revelation that the NSA was spying on a 'universally undesirable' demographic was smart, but predictable.

he showed a list

of thousands of people, but only released the names of 5 prominent muslims that gave him permission to release their names/stories.

I think that he released them first to show how hypocritical people are. He will show how apathetic people are when they think a few radicals are being unconstitutionally spied on. Then he will release more names/stories of people more like the mainstream. Eventually he will show that the most mundane citizens are being spied on.

just a theory...I hope it is true.

I know what you're thinking, why dribble it out. I, too, would prefer to know the whole (provable) truth and nothing but the truth. Alas, I am not the one in control of the information.

a number of prominent Muslims

He's a phony - that's what happened

He promised "fireworks" for his "grand finale" but then released 5 Muslim names (which you know the average American is probably going to think "those sound like the kind of names that the NSA should be spying on").

Then Greenwald changed his story again, saying it wasn't the last of his reporting on this subject (even after saying it was). And let's not forget he previously had said he had gotten though only about 1% of the Snowden documents and was hiring people at The Intercept to report on them. That was before the "grand finale" talk. In short, he can't even keep his own story straight.

The takeaway is that Greenwald is a complete phony.
