Prankster Poses As Ukraine Eyewitness, Calls MSNBC Host "Dumbass"

http://youtu.be/RqNy7L8rVyo

MSNBC's Krystal Ball couldn't foresee being called a "dumbass" by a prankster posing as an eyewitness to today's MH17 flight disaster, even after the guest—claiming to be stationed at the U.S. embassy in Kiev—claimed the plane was shot down by "a blast of wind from Howard Stern's ass."

The MSM is one big prank

what goes around, comes around.

Ahhhh.....

So that is why all news personalities must undergo a lobotomy before they are placed in front of a teleprompter. It's all clear to me now.

this is still my favorite Howard Stern prank call

If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...

Although this prank was mean hearted

I feel like it was a good thing. Many people here are commenting that it was wrong, mean hearted and inappropriate. Sure, maybe he didnt need to call her a dumb ass but I think this had a very good effect. It shows how stupid the main stream media is, and how shallow and superficial their reporting is.
Last night, while i was eating dinner at my companies mess hall, everyone was watching the news (bbc i think) where nothing was known yet but they had one or two images of the crash. The whole time i was there, the two images would go back and forth and the commentators were just talking and making up loads of S@#$ because they didn't know anything. On picture showed the crash from a distance and had plumes of smoke coming from them. The commentator went on for several minutes about what the wind conditions must be like for the plume to have that shape. It was so silly... yet everyone in the mess hall was intently filling their bellies (literally ad metaphorically).
It would have been great for a prank call to distrubt the monotonie and wake people up from their comma. Maybe they would realize for just a moment how stupid the MSM really is.

That's exactly Captain Janks' point

Check out his handy work right here...Pranking Peter Jennings live on the air during the '94 OJ standoff! http://youtu.be/bLmoqbR3gto

Tom Cipriano is the name of his YouTube channel.
He's got a lot of fun pranks on the media to enjoy.

wow a -1 for my comment below

Maybe DailyPaul peopl e don’t have the morals like they espouse to. Clearly all these people who commented below favoring pranks don’t have much morality. And Here I thought it is the act that is judge upon and not if it’s to women, men, media, gays, animals, etc. Today I lose a little hope for you DPers. And maybe it should be that way.

I am not sure where the moral indignation comes from

What exactly did the prankster do that you feel crossed a moral line.

I find it much more reprehensible that citizens of this country feign sympathy and compassion for 295 innocent souls taken from this world which WE were powerless to stop and which WE could have done nothing about - yet sit by idly while issues that are costing more lives and causing more moral carnage - of which ARE within our control, which ARE a direct result of our abrogation of responsibilities as free citizens electing our representatives.

And the reality is, the prank is only successful in that it plays directly upon the immorality of those he is pranking. The bit simply would not be funny if Krystal was a person of honor, if the producer was a person of honor, if the entire network had any moral fiber. A person of honor would not have gone on stoking the drama and attempting to boost ratings while at the same time fanning the flames of hatred to push for more war that will certainly claim more than 295 more innocent lives.

The fact is - his a assertion that is was Howard's ass in no more or less accurate than her assertion it was a Russian missile. Of course - his assertion will not cost more lives - so in reality - he has done a public service.

the morality of pranking

Okay so it's fine if people call you up and start pranking you over your cell phone? do you even see the problem of that?

and again this they do more evil then pranking them. where's the logic in that? And wrong doing should be looked down upon yet you guys are here cheering this idiot on. I'm not on the MSM media and yes they do have something to do with getting this stupid nation to go to war but that is the people's fault not just the MSM and until you idiots get that you fellow dailypaulers wont change shi+. I'm sorry but your liberties that you so dear espouse is not being up hold to and you should really rethink about your characters.

No it is not fine for people to call me up - because I have

not given out my phone number and asked people to call me and report things. MSNBC DOES have a phone number and they do ask people to call.

In this case -the wrongdoing is not a nuisance or harassment since the person answering the phone is paid to answer the phone, and the person doing the vetting(or lack there of) is being paid to qualify the caller.
This is no different than a bar tender being expected to card patrons - it is their job to do so - they DO have an expectation and responsibility to do so - it is the social(and legal) compact they make by being granted a license to sell liquor. No different than the social compact the news media have in being granted an fcc license.

It is funny, just last week - a bunch of local liquor stores and bars got fined and will probably have to close for a couple of days because the state sent in an underage person to attempt to buy alcohol. The state does these checks on a regular basis - in order to keep the owners on their toes.

Why doesn't the FCC do the same thing?
Well, now we have a 1st amendment problem and government involved with the news problem and all sorts of problems if they did that.

So again, here comes a person to do the job that needs to be done to illustrate the principle that the media is full of crap and will regurgitate whatever crap they are fed.

Your ascertain that liberties and jack-assedness cannot co-exist is silly. This man is a jack-ass maybe, but he did not violate any liberties so that is a fail.

As for character. Perhaps you should work on your own. I do not believe calling people idiots is a good way to take the character high ground.

bad analogy

This woman is not on her cell phone. She is on TELEVISION! Her job is to propagate LIES that serve government/corporate/war mongering agenda. This call proves that MSNBC did not vet the caller or his credentials before letting him on the air and that nothing they report should be trusted.

Yea dude

I give up on you. GL

it wasn't me

I didn't downvote you, but I'll save my sympathy for real victims, innocent victims of the state that this woman protects. A state with victims too numerous to count.

that caller is stupid

what an a-hole. i hate callers like this. pranks are harrassment just like bullying. anyone that thinks this is okay must think twice about it. These Howard Stern fags are stupid and i cant stand them. Just because we dont like the MSM doesnt mean pranking them is anything moral about it.

the irony strong in this one be

hmmmmmmmmm?

“The welfare of the people in particular has always been the alibi of tyrants.” — Albert Camus

So you claim the caller is a bully

and yet use a derogatory term to describe the caller.

Seems slightly hypocritical to me.

Seems if you are going to call out moral indignation - you should probably use some morals while doing so - just a suggestion.

And how can it be bullying if msnbc is SOLICITING calls? They got what they asked for - they just failed to do their job. They have an obligation to vet people and to vet information before throwing to the public as gospel.

I am also pretty sure they have an obligation to use a 7 second delay which clearly they were not.

I

I guess I don't have a great argument since I stopped reading your comment at the word "bullying".

MBNBC Cannot be bullied, EVER.

yea you do that, but i'm sure you finished it
