Rand is the Best We've Got - Deal with it.

I know your gripes about Rand, I have them too. I know he’s not as staunch as his father, I know he’s trying to not step on too many toes for electability reasons, I don’t necessarily agree with him on Israel, and in my mind there’s NO guarantee he’s not going to screw us over if he gets in office.

But you know what?

So far I agree with 95% of what he says. NINETY-FIVE PERCENT. That’s more than any other potential candidate I’ve been in agreement with in my entire life with the exception of Ron.

And you know what else?

Rand is ALL WE’VE GOT. What other liberty-minded candidate is going to run for office that you guys potentially agree with more than Rand and at the same time possesses the electability needed? Gary Johnson? Lew Rockwell? Michael Nystrom? (well…maybe)

I’m not happy about every little thing Rand says/does, but he IS all we have at this point.

When 2016 rolls around, I hope you Rand naysayers can ignore the issue differences you have and stand behind him.

He’s all we’ve got.

Are you sure

Yep, I believe we are that

"GROUP". Who else would be slowing down the NWO by pointing out their failed policies?

Ron Paul Was Right

that WE you refer to

has many factions. rand's foreign policy is not far removed from obama's. at least for the moment. we're talking regular politics here, not the ron paul freedom movement, and the drive for better education.

Who will Ron Paul and Carol Paul vote for?

KissMyTeaBag's comment below is spot on.

Ron Paul won't throw up his hands and say none of the candidates are perfect so why vote.

He and Carol will vote for someone. That someone will also get my vote.

Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof

If Ron and Carol

... jumped off a bridge to their death would you ?

Life is a sexually transmitted disease with a 100% fatality rate.
Don't Give me Liberty, I'll get up and get it myself!

I think you could drive them...

to wanting to jump off a bridge with your,"no one is good enough for my vote" silliness.

Just stand on the sidelines and cry. We got this.

so your saying what exactly

Give my vote to someone who I do not trust 100%

compromise MY LIBERTY ?!

Slaves are made in such ways ...

Who do you trust?

Who is going to run that you would vote for? If no one, why do you care who becomes president? If you don't care, how do you expect to ever have any liberty?

If you're waiting to get all your liberty in one swoop, you'll never get it. All or nothing usually means nothing.

I understand your frustration. I said I'd never vote for Rand when he supported Romney over his dad but if electing him means we get Ron in an effective position, like Treasury Secretary, then I'll take that over some GOP RINO or Hillary and I'm Libertarian. I'll take liberty any way I can get it. Unlike most Republicans that would never vote Libertarian but claim they want liberty, I'm willing to take bend to get them to open their eyes wider like Ron Paul did by switching parties.

Politics is a nasty game. Honesty though admired by the people will only get you that, admiration, not a seat where you can make a difference.

Give your vote to someone you agree with 92% and has a real shot at winning.

Or don't. Just sit out and wait for your ideal candidate. That's fine too.

No, if Ron and Carol Paul jumped off a bridge I would not follow.

Yes, I will be voting for their son.

Proclaim LIBERTY throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof

WTF - this is what i just heard

Your gonna get hit with my right fist or left fist...
now pick one ...
Pick my left fist it is the weaker of the two and be happy with it.

Liberty must take the day ( nothing shorter )

Who will you vote for?

I know how you feel but someone is going to be president and I'd rather it be him so he can appoint his father to an effective position within his administration.

Who do you think his father will vote for?

A father will always vote for his son to be president....What does that have to do with the rest of us?

So if Rand was a Democrat...

Ron would vote for him?

If Rand appoints his father to be the Treasury Secretary, it will have a LOT to do with us.

You don't think very much of

You don't think very much of Ron, then? Shame.

I am saying he would do what every parent would do.

Ron would vote for his son if he was on the ballot, regardless of party label. Ron Paul has said that there is not much difference between republican and democrat so you are probably just projecting your own bias.

I wouldn't vote for Obama if

I wouldn't vote for Obama if I was his dad. If you really think that Rand Paul is so horrible, it speaks very low of Ron that he would vote for him. I guess you forgot that Ron is also Republican.

People who claim to like Ron and not Rand are logically inconsistent to a point of absolute silliness.

Remember when

Oscar de la Hoya fought Floyd mayweather jr?

Whose side was Floyd senior on?

The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.

Could be

Rand will use his pen, paper, and cell phone for the right reasons.

1. Many like to pretend this isn't spiritual as they hope and pray for our guy to win out and do everything right for the Republic.

2. Others know that the above statement can't happen because it has already been decided.

3. Some contend it is Revelation come to life and the will of God is in play......Not like isn't always....

4. Still others see history repeating and apply the "Rome" analogy.

If Rand is there he will get my vote.

What if he doesn't win? Does this movement die or get stronger? I am preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

Ron is a messenger Rand is a

Ron is a messenger Rand is a politician.
Rand is playing the part that WON'T bring on the REAL Ron Paul change we all so want.
Just another politician, nothing to see here. Move along.

Another way of looking at it...

In religious terms, Ron Paul was John the Baptist while Rand will be Pontius Pilate.

I'm not religious. I believe

I'm not religious. I believe religions start wars and debating about is a waste of time. Let move on to REAL issues.

Judges 9:8-15

8 [f]The trees went forth to anoint a King over them, and said unto the Olive tree, Reign thou over us.

9 But the Olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honor God and man, and go to advance me above the trees?

10 Then the trees said to the fig tree, Come thou, and be king over us.

11 But the fig tree answered them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to advance me above the trees?

12 Then said the trees unto the vine, Come thou, and be king over us.

13 But the vine said unto them, Should I leave my wine, whereby I cheer God and man, and go to advance me above the trees?

14 Then said all the trees unto the [g]bramble, Come thou, and reign over us.

15 And the bramble said unto the trees, If ye will indeed anoint me king over you, come, and put your trust under my shadow: and if not, the [h]fire shall come out of the bramble, and consume the Cedars of Lebanon.

Many of us were drawn into

Many of us were drawn into the Ron Paul movement because of the good doctor's foreign policy approach, which stems from our founding and great men such as Washington. It was special to see Dr. Paul use his seemingly limitless knowledge of history to make firm stands on foreign policy, even if it brought him ridicule from the establishment, its media pressitutes or booed by a gathering of Neo-Cons at a debate - see South Carolina.

The greatest difference between Rand and Ron comes on foreign policy, which is very painful for those of us who came into the movement because of Ron's clarity and sound foreign policy approach. We want to support Rand, but he makes it more difficult as he leans farther away from his father and closer to the likes of screwball McCain.

And he lost because they were afraid his ideas

might actually wake people up (which they did). So Rand should do and say everything like his father? It didn't work for his father and it won't work for Rand. I believe this was Ron's plan all along. He knew his long time political beliefs would not allow him to win and I believe he was setting the stage for Rand. Rand came in with minimal mainstream political baggage and an army of Ron Paul followers waiting to jump on board. Those who say anything short of Ron is unacceptable will leave but those who understand the need to be in the fight for the long term will stay and help. Our liberty was extracted over several decades and it will take several decades to get it back peacefully. If you believe things should and will turn around immediately then get ready to go to war and I mean a real shooting war.
