Laura Ingraham On O'Reilly: Rand Paul's Isolationist Foreign Policy Captures What Americans Are Feeling (VIDEO)

Laura Ingraham was on “The O’Reilly Factor” to discuss if Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) can be a viable presidential candidate with his isolationist foreign policy, which departs from that of many of his fellow Republicans.

Ingraham said Paul is capturing what a lot of Americans are feeling after wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, plus so many ongoing global conflicts.

Love the poll at the end of the clip

Gives a great insight into the propagandic nature of TV 'news'.

Aside from that, I thought Bill gave Laura a good segment. He didn't have any great retorts aside from the occasional smarmy 'c'mon'.

His brief fearmongering on Iran was preaching to his choir of course.

Rand should avoid this show until he's either locked onto the nomination or has to take a chance at getting a boost.

He'd be better off doing an event with O'Reilly like he did with Rupert Murdoch.

Much of O'Reilly's audience

Much of O'Reilly's audience is neocons who vote, so this was a great interview for changing a few minds and opening many others to considering the value of America as independent (Ingraham's word) from foreign entanglements.

10-15 million more voters need to believe in non-interventionism (liberty) at home and abroad to change America. Minds changed on Syria. Minds changing on privacy. "Printing money" is part of the dialogue. Win minds through focus, strategy.

I'd like to think that, too.

Unfortunately, that same die hard neocon audience hears O'Really's voice and think it's the voice of God.

What defines "isolationism"?

According to dictionary.com, there is some merit to their comment. Then again, if remaining at peace defines isolationism then sign me up!

Of course, it's absurd to say Rand or Ron are isolationists. They both want to trade w/ other countries. They just believe in the founders' vision for the country of avoiding war and entangling alliances.

the policy or doctrine of isolating one's country from the affairs of other nations by declining to enter into alliances, foreign economic commitments, international agreements, etc., seeking to devote the entire efforts of one's country to its own advancement and remain at peace by avoiding foreign entanglements and responsibilities.

I guess in the days when Harvard...

... accepted O'Reilly's application for admission, they were pretty hard up.
I can't for the life of me figure out why any institution of higher learning would want to be associated with a narrow-minded bigot and GOP bootlicker like O'Reilly.

His obsession with Iran is laughable. The Iranian leaders don't like Israel. Well, that's how you campaign in Iran. It's local politics at its best. Get over it O'Reilly.

Israel don't fear Iran. They don't seem to fear anyone. Why should we care about Iran? What is there about $18 trillion in debt and the Iraq fiasco that this knucklehead can't understand?

My advice to the honorable senator: Do yourself a favor and stay away from O'Reilly. You have no obligation to him and his dwindling number of supporters. Show him who holds the power.

I saw that rat bastard O'Reilly call Rand an isolationist.

So, if someone doesn't advocate attacking, occupying and killing other nations then they're an isolatinist?

The war-loving, Arab-hater O'Reilly knows he will never have to get his hands dirty (or get killed) abroad so naturally he advocates for more wars and interventions.

Ingraham actually was fairly decent towards Rand tonight, but back when Dr. Paul was running for president she scoffed at the idea of his candidacy.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

I'm a rat...

... bastard and I'm deeply offended that you associate me with O'Reilly.

Now that's funny Sleuth...

Sorry to have offended you with the rat remark.

I guess I offended the entire rat population by equating them with O'Reilly!

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Here is where that meeting with Rupert Murdoch just began. The machine has agreement, so absolutely OBVIOUS!!

I guess Rand doesn't want to

I guess Rand doesn't want to come on his show and get cut off and yelled down like what o'reilly did to his dad.
O'reilly is a statist, plain and simple. He believes in the supremacy of the state over individual rights, believes people need to be told what to do and not do, surveilled, we need to create war all over the world, but he's against citizens using camera phones to record him or the cops without 2 party approval, even in public!

But then, there was that sex scandal about 10 years ago. I can see why he'd have a sore spot about being recorded...

Ron Paul and Bill

Ron Paul and BO never got along because Bill stunk up the whole show and Ron just got tired of his silly talking points.BO is slowing dying on cable ratings.

O' Really....

is still a lying propagandist a-hole. Totally out of touch with America. But remains the MIC's prize prime time bitch. Didn't O'Really dodge the draft in Viet Nam?

Ingraham, after being dumped by the MIC and Faux Jews has been humbled. I do imagine that tomorrow her remaining affiliates will get "the phone-call".

Rand probably won't talk to O'Really because of the way O'Really treated his father and because he is not a serious journalist...he is an inside edition hack propagandist for the MIC.

And Iran does NOT call for and end to the Jews, he calls for an end to Zionism and he is gaining a lot of support as a result of the disaster the Zionist have made of this world.

Is "quarrel" the new euphemism for "war"?

Bill, I don't think most Republicans want to be involved in Foreign "Quarrels" as you put it. I thought O'reilly was about to say "he departs from Republicans because he wants to stay out of Foreign "wars"". They are very scarred of Rand, and the media has begun trying to separate him from the "mainstream" or the "normal/accepted" candidates. Brace yourself Senator Paul, it is going to be a long, tough, slanderous fight.

Hey bill..

eff you. You are not god no matter what your ratings say.

Bill O'Reilly Is Obviously Carrying Water For The Neocons

Bill wants more wars while keeping Americans in fear over lowly Iran..

Pretty pathetic..

Pretty good - better than I expected.

Bill looked like an idiot as usual, Laura bringing the common sense.

Hey Bill - if you're reading this... I used to think you had a pretty high I.Q. but if you don't know the difference between isolationist and non-interventionist, then you are a dim-wit.

Yeah, I know better - you are smart, AND you are a lying sack of s h i t. Carrying the water for the neo-cons. Intentionally lying on the air, promoting fear. Lying about the Iranian leader too, who recently said - he wants to wipe out the "zionist regime", but "not the people of Israel"

You are a despicable human being Bill.

Laura Ingraham Actually Sided With Rand..

Rand has won over the American people on his foreign policy. Americans are sick and tired of war.

Now O'Reilly on the other hand disagrees and says Rand Paul's is going to be hurt by his foreign policy. He also took a shot at Rand for not coming on his show...

O'Reilly is just butthurt that his relevancy is declining on a daily basis, and he can't even lure Rand Paul.

Rand should *never* agree to be on his show again...and if questioned about it, should say that O'Reilly is just not relevant anymore. lol....that'd chap O'Reilly's butt like nothing else!
