Black owners have every right

Black owners have every right to post a sign saying, "we don't serve crackers here".

Its not a chili bar,I love crackers with chili, and mayo on my ham and cheese

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence

Extremist! 8D~

but, point taken

when a "Klan" member walks into a black owned business..

....the black owner has a right to refuse said customer. Anyone who has an issue with this concept must be a racist and opposed to the protection of the civil rights of black folk..simple.

They tried to bury us, they didn't know we were seeds. -mexican proverb

Sure... If you don't consider the historical facts

Fact is, the mental disease of a fabricated notion of race supremacy was (and still is in many ways) so deeply entrenched in the minds of the majority, that it was institutionalized through law. The majority - from the very beginnings of this country - violated the core premise of liberty and made excuses to themselves - through institutionalized law - to perpetuate the hypocrisy. This race myth is responsible for the destruction of an entire culture that helped build this country, not to mention the deaths of millions. Because racial hatred and bias was enacted through legislation, it took legislation to dismantle it. The result, whether hardcore libertarians want to see it or not, are right before your eyes. The President, regardless of whether he's terrible or not, is black(ish). And the MAJORITY voted for him. This would have never been possible if it weren't for the CRA and every part of it.

I, myself, probably wouldn't be able to share my thoughts with you on this forum, if it weren't for those provisions.

Are you saying that you agree

With how the interstate commerce clause has basically been rang through the mill a dozen times by statue and rulings so much so that through precedence the govt can now pretty much interfere legally with any private property anytime it wants and the supreme courts hands are tied unless there are people like Thomas and Scalia who don't care what's happened the last 100 years

It's baffling how these lawyers find a way. Once Pressly was overturned we were good

Good point

have not heard it put that way before, actually.

adam t

no, it's not

simplistic answer to a very complex issue

GUYS! you have the right to

GUYS! you have the right to refuse service but it can't be based on their race. If someone's rude or causing a disturbance you can kick them out. Is everyone forgetting history? the signs were hung in the window "Whites Only."

Yup - and the next one over said

Help Wanted - Irish need not apply.
--crickets - wheres the NAAIP when you need them.

So what - that's life - get over it. My Irish father still managed to work(at age 12), raise a family and move to the suburbs.
All this crap is just that - crap. Refuse who you want - the days have changed and if you can afford to run a business and exclude a large portion of your customer base - god bless you - cause Im gonna open a shop right next door that accepts ALL your customer base - and soon you will be out of business.

Welcome to 2014.

Haven't you heard..

White slaves and later prejudice against pale skinned folks, don't count, and never existed in the neo Amerikan History. Only Blacks were treated badly, and it was all whitey's fault. It had nothing to do with the black slave traders who sold them into slavery to the white traders, and it definitely had nothing to do with the fact that the slaves being traded were already slaves, just to black people, but none of that matters. Whites are supposed to be indebted to those who worship the likes of Sharpton, Jackson, and the Oprah's of the world. I like to think that these blacks are a very small minority of the whole population, just very vocal and entitled. I personally know many black people, and none of them feel that they are owed anything but to be judged by their character, which is how we should all feel.

Then please explain why...

Then please explain why there are so many businesses that cater to and only allow women (gyms, self defense classes, etc)? The signs outside of these businesses say "women only".

These are privately owned businesses and they can discriminate as much as they'd like. If consumers have a problem, they will not patronize these businesses.

"Villains wear many masks, but none as dangerous as the mask of virtue." - Washington Irvin

In a free society...

…one can refuse access to one's property for ANY reason.

Do you believe, for example, that a black woman who was gang-raped dozens of times over many years by white men should be free to exclude white men from her coffee shop simply because the sight of a white man makes her queasy?

Im on your side..

Just because a free individual enters your business, you should not be allowed to discriminate because you are uncomfortable.

Hide behind religion and personal belief all you want.

Just realize they are an equal human being too.

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

So, what you are saying

Is that those who enter your place of business are free but you, as the owner, are not free? I should be free to kick anybody out of my private property for any reason; period. If you and the community don't like it then vote with your wallet and put me out of business. If my policy doesn't offend enough people tough cookies; that's the free market.

If I knew of a cafe that didn't allow blacks or any other "label", then I wouldn't frequent that cafe, why would I? The only people that would support that place, in this day and age, are those who have something against blacks. If they have enough people to support the cafe, then good for them, but the rest of us will eat somewhere that accepts people until they, as individuals, prove themselves to be unacceptable. Why would I want to eat somewhere I wasn't wanted? Would you trust their food or product? And wouldn't you rather know ahead of time that these people hate you, rather than not knowing? That is a truly FREE MARKET, and it works.

Do not set parameters on my freedom.

History does not describe me.

It can be based on anything

It can be based on anything the owner decides as long as it isn't public property. That is what private property rights are all about.

Where does it state

One has not the right to refuse service based on race?
The 1st amendment says we have the right to say whatever we want, hang with whom we want, and or not to,this includes who we let into our homes, our lives and our own businesses.

If we deny truth before your very eyes, then the rest of what we have to say,is of little consequence
